I want their mac and cheese bites served at my wedding. They’re probably my favorite thing in existence.

Eh! Not like the original Pop’s location, but will do in a pinch. Greasy sausage. But a least they have a drive up. Be careful you don’t have an accident with the Dunkin Donuts drive up. They share part of the lane.

Their Italian Beef is pretty good. The cheese curds are lightly battered rather than breaded and they are out of this world! Ooey gooey cheesy yumminess. Corn dogs are average, but overall this place is great!

I recently went through the drive thru and ended up with the wrong order and made it all the way home before I noticed… when I called they actually went out of their way to get it to me through a delivery service. I have never had a business go above and beyond to correct a mistake. the food is always so good and the staff is friendly. love this place

I pretty much can’t believe this place is still in business. They should be absolutely ashamed to serve the beef sandwiches that they serve. They have virtually no taste at all. Usually a highschooler is taking your order which is okay except for the fact that their service is very very poor. How could I almost forget to mention how consistent it is. Consistently poor! By the way, when you ask for hot peppers on your beef sandwich they give you sliced up jalapenos. Good job on keeping your restaurant unique. Why don’t you serve a ketchup only hotdog too while you’re at it. Friggin absolutely nasty and disgusting. You’ll find better meals up your nose.

This place is full of high calorie, high fat, deep-fried yummz. I used to come here and feel my waist belt expand as I ate the cajun cheese curds or the delicious pizza puff that we can only eat in Chicagoland. Today, I discovered the grilled Chicken Wrap. It is a delicious low cal delight wrapped in a tortilla waiting to be devoured. Go through the drive-through. Parking sucks as this single building has 2 drive throughs — one for Dunkin Donuts and one for Pop’s.

Normally this is a pretty decent place: good food, clean tables and competent staff. Today, however, they get a failing grade. Rude counter staff, filthy tables and it took quite a while to get the food. I’ll go to Novi’s next time.

Not the worst food in the area, typical greasy spoon, gyros is ok, not great, but at least tolerable.

I love this place. I since moved to Vegas,(they need to start expanding to other states starting there) every time I come home to visit, I never miss a trip to Pops. Since I was flying, I had to pick the most important item that I wanted to bring home. Of course it was the hot peppers. So I bought a pint, let them know I was traveling with them, and had them wrapped up to go. I did not get ONE little leak anywhere, and I had other things in the bag, had it thrown thru TSA and it came thru beautifully! I commend them on getting that together and making it hassle free. The customer service is outstanding, the food is even better. I know this review is to let you know how the food is, but think of it this way… if I never miss a trip to pops when I’m home, and I love it so much I go thru the hassle of bringing it on plane, well, that should speak for itself. The fries, the beef sandwiches, everything I have ever had has been outstanding. I am a vegetarian and I swear, this place comes close to making me throw 30 years of not eating meat out the window. When I first stopped eating meat, I did it gradually, the beef sandwiches from here is one of the last things I gave up. I always get {this close} to ordering one everytime… so good it can turn a vegetarian to a meat eater. Thank you Pops! You rock!

Good food but not great for for you! Overall this is good fast food and I’ve never had any sort of customer service problems with them.

This place is great. My daughter is taking dance lessons close by so I have been frequently going here. Try the breaded steak. It’s one of the best if not THE best in the area. I thought 5 guys had a big order of fries… Til I got the full order here. Had the gyro, hot dogs and like I said, the breaded steak and all were great. Great for kids and the place is very clean.

Their food is pretty good for fast food. The kids meals get Free ice cream cones with sprinkles. Specify how you want things cooked, they do it.

I have eaten here a few times and the food has been very consistent. I’ve only ever had the beef sandwich(dipped with hot peppers) and fries. I think their beef is pretty decent and they have great fries. The dine in area is also very clean. There is always an employee cleaning and straightening up, especially in the drink and condiments area.

Two things I am going to target, the jumbo dog and the Italian beef… oh the Italian beef! I have eaten all over the city and the suburbs; AL’s, Portillos, Nicky’s hotdog stands, kronos lucky dogs etc; by far this has got to be the worst Italian beef I have ever tasted. Baccis was bad, move over Baccis you’ve been replaced. The bread was this weird cross between week old French bread and some Mexican torta bread. I ordered hot peppers and they gave me a slop of pickled celery, and while I was there another gentleman actually went back and asked for giardineira peppers and the person at the counter had no clue what he was talking about. Come on, you can’t have beef in your name and then serve this thing. Step your beef game up ladies and gents. Maybe switch the bread vendor to like Turano or Gonnella or something. The dog, the jumbo dog did upset my stomach a bit, once again the bread, if you are going to serve the dog serve it on the same type of hot dog bun you would a regular dog. It’s like they used the bread they were supposed to use the Italian beef on the actual jumbo dog. Other than that everything was fine, the people working there were pretty nice and the service was on point. I am always willing to give someone a second chance, so I will probably roll the dice and go back, but try something else. I heard they sell chicken there.

Pop’s used to be a very good restaurant when they first opened. I was looking forward to having a Portillo’s knock-off near my house. However, after receiving bad food from them and terrible customer service, they’ve really gone downhill. If you ever go to Pop’s, do yourself a favor and DONOT get anything with chicken in it. They like to serve raw chicken. My theory is that they only put grill marks on their chicken and then serve it without checking the inner temperature. I received a grilled chicken sandwich from them before and it was literally raw inside. I called them back to get a refund and what did they give me? They gave me a voucher for a free chicken sandwich. Sure, like I’ll order a chicken sandwich from them ever again. If you get a salad from Pop’s, expect wilted and brown lettuce chunks and terribly cut vegetables. If you order their French onion soup, expect stale croutons floating around in it. Customer service at Pop’s is noticeably not their number one concern. The employees in the drive-thru are terrible. They are never friendly and they always forget items in orders. If for some reason you do visit Pop’s, their cheeseburgers are decent. They may be pink on the inside, but that’s how some people eat their burgers, so that’s alright. Their fries are also pretty good, and they give you plenty of them with your order. Their prices are also good and cheap. Meals for three people is under $ 20.

So I am craving — CRAVING — a gyro sandwich.(For the uninitiated — and you really don’t know what you’re missing — gyro is a Greek specialty sandwich with lamb and olives and cucumber sauce and tomatoes on a pita.) A sign from God himself looms over me on I-55 south; FULL-SIZED Gyro sandwiches at Pop’s. My heart swelled. Full sized? Surely this will be some type of gyro-heaven. I steered my vehicle around a few winding roads in the near-by suburb and pulled up at Pop’s. Upon entering I was greeted by the standard suburban-teen-counter girl. She was pleasant enough. I ordered my food and sat down. It was pretty quick and the expediter was cordial. I unwrapped the«full sized» gyro and was a little curious. I assumed full sized meant adult sized. This thing was not much bigger than an infant’s forearm(with much less meat). I have had bigger servings at the old grub-for-a-buck(sweet sweet memories). The quality wasn’t bad — the amount of food was suspect. There are too many good gyros out there to fall for the full sized con. Almost makes me lose faith in that greatest of American advertising venues — the billboard.

Stopped here while on our way to Culver’s and glad we did! We tried the burger and the combo. Both were very tasty. The fries and onion rings were also good! The restaurant was clean and they had a full staff. Glad we diverted from our original destination!

GREAT Italian Beef. I was a huge Novi’s(Berwyn) fan, but I like Pop’s just as much now… maybe more??? Their hot pepper mix(kind of a medium heat gardiniera with not a lot of hot peppers in it) absolutely elevates the sandwich from a very, very good beef to a great one. I’ve had some other menu items(hot dog, chili dog, soup) and wasn’t very impressed — they’re OK, but I’ve had better. I’ll stick to the beef. Their fries are really good too — thin cut, crunchy outside, soft inside… and a half order is as much as a full order elsewhere. Will try their take on the gyro, which they added a week or so ago.
