Melody’s Place

My boyfriend took me here today for sentimental reasons. He stumped into this little café five years ago and ordered their fried chicken with mashed potato. And ever since that day he always wanted to come back again. We enjoyed our meals and the service, the food was very good! This café is very cozy and homie, definitely a great place for families to enjoy a relaxed and hearty meal!

You don’t wanna come eat here or bring your family’s here or your nice vehicle’s if you want them to get broken in to they don’t wash there hands the smoke cigarettes after 9 when they close the restaurant food is starter brothers bought cheap and sold to u for more the twin is full of tweakers hard core especially in the restaurant if you like that kina stuff or your trying to get your fix come up to lytel tweak with the lytel tweakers

Although my parents and their friends liked this place, their opinion is quickly changing. Customer service has been taking a nose dive. My first visit this past weekend started with us seating ourselves in the back, being ignored, reseating ourselves up front, receiving menus… but… our order was never taken. We waited a total of 25 minutes in a restaurant that had only a few people at the bar and one other couple in the dining area… we finally left and won’t be back.

We were really surprised with this little café, where we had lunch, my picky husband had BLT which I would never order if I’ve never been to the restaurant before but he said the sandwich was great with nice slabs of lean bacon. My grown daughter had a turkey sandwich which she fully approved of and I had tuna sandwich. All excellent. The vintage building is a real treat too. Over 100 years at least. Very clean and welcoming place. Great service by a very amiable waitress. I highly recommend it.

First off! If the a place just catered to a big party and you come in as a group of young outsiders without feeling out of place, then I guess it feels good to be in the right place at the right time.
We were welcomed with great smiles and good vibes. The prices on the food and drinks were great and the quality of service was even better! Brandon was our waiter on this night, and he was awesome. Five stars goes to this establishment because they earned it

We ate here two mornings in a row while we camped at Applewhite Campground, just about a mile north of Melody’s. Each time we were so pleased with the service, and quality of the food and coffee. The portions are huge – just as I feel they should be in a homey, rustic spot like this.
I ordered the breakfast special each morning – first it was was a pork roast breakfast skillet with eggs and potatoes and then it was an enchilada omelette with choice of refried beans or potatoes. The skillet was amazing and the omelette was fine.
My boyfriend tried the French Toast and the Pancakes. He thought the pancakes were some of the best he has ever had, but I think the value was swaying his opinion just a little bit (2 huge, plate-​sized, pancakes for $ 3.00).
Coffee was GOOD!
The décor was so cute and it created a great vibe for us city-​folk who were hoping to escape everything LA. The service was so friendly and they recognized us the second morning and remembered little things about our preferences (hot sauce, lots of coffee refills, etc.).
I would recommend this restaurant to anybody who is looking for a big hearty meal because the food is great for the price and it is a happy place.

Love love love it. Food and staff are amazing. Family run. Today they had all you can eat spaghetti. My mom loved it. I always get the pastrami melt. Yummy! Locals are welcoming and friendly. They have breakfast special on weekends before 11. Went the day after my wedding and it was eggs Benedict. Delicious! Give a shot. Sometimes service is slow when busy but well worth the wait for sure!

Been there a number of times from stopping for a beer to eating dinner with friends. The staff get 5 stars for being friendly and engaging. The food is decent and worth the money. Definitely worth your time and money.

I am a lover of a small town, hole-​in-​the-​wall restaurant, and this place has it all. Pretty much everybody is a regular, they recognize you the second time you come in and staff and customers alike say hi to you when you walk in. The service is good, the food is good and the atmosphere is homey and comfortable. I love it when you get up to leave and there is a grand good bye from pretty much everybody sitting at the bar. I recommend this restaurant.

While camping at Mountain Lakes (they have a very average café) my friend and I chose to drive 1 miles back to the main part of Lytle Creek and eat at Melody’s. We were delighted with the fair prices, excellent food, and very friendly service. We ate there a total of 5 times during a 4 day stay and the food was consistently wonderful. The rustic decore is fabulous and the small gift shop is very reasonably priced.
I highly recommend this eating establishment

The Waitresses are very nice. Surrounding area is beautiful. The food was excellent.
