Bar-B-Que Bobby

I checked out this hidden gem on yesterday, and boy am I glad I did! I passed by it often since it’s in my community, but thanks to my fellow Unilocalers, I decided to check them out. They’re a small establishment but not hard to find, right beside the cleaners and directly across the street from Martin’s restaurant on the corner. The rib tips are extremely tender and flavorful. The potato salad is good, really good — like your grandmama’s potato salad kinda good! The wife makes it. I met and talked to her yesterday. They are a really nice, down home, family and give that Southern hospitality.
People were there placing their 4^th of July orders, and I think I’ll be doing the same. Oh yeah, they take big orders and they also cater — for events like family reunions, graduation parties, etc. Adding them to the favorites! Go check them out… you’ll be glad you did!

I truly enjoyed the entire experience of Bar-​B-​Que Bobby! The owners were very personable and knowledgeable of their food. The service was great and the food was delicious! I had the Bar-​B-​Que sandwich with coleslaw and BAKE-​BEANS!!! You must try it all! I will definitely be returning in the future!

I just tried this place for lunch after searching on Unilocal for a nearby BBQ joint. The BBQ here is excellent. I got a half slab of ribs, which was (a) enough for two meals, and (b) cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of smoky flavor and falling off the bone without being mushy. The sauce here is a combo of numerous other sauces and results in a very thick, sweet and spicy mixture. I haven’t had a sauce like it before. The rib tips are their specialty and they are amazing. My wife had the pork sandwich and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return.

I’m really rooting for this spot! Great, friendly service run by a family. I ordered the rib tip dinner with potato salad and pound cake for dessert. Everything was great! The pound cake was a little on the dry side but with vanilla ice cream, it did the trick. I’m going to try the red velvet next time. The rib tips were very tender, falling off of the bones and the potato salad was amazing! The side of potato salad was a small portion but the small rib tip was plenty! I will definitely be back and it’s great to have another BBQ option that isn’t a 20 minute drive.

Really loved the people at Bobbys. I tried the ribs, chicken, n pork. The chicken was so tender and juicy with the perfect ring of smoke.
Bobbys is a KC Bbq kind of place. For my preference I had them put the sauce on the side. The chicken is just so good without it. I recommend dipping as to not cover up too much of their smoking style.
Definitely returning for more. Ribs were good not great. Pork was in the same boat. Go to try it all, stay for the chicken.

I visited this restaurant a few days ago and will most definitely return. Living in the neighborhood, I’ve passed by this place many times. I wanted something different for dinner then the typical fast food places. I was reminded of this spot while browsing on Unilocal and decided to try it out. I ordered a small plate of the rib tips, small potato salad, and a piece of red velvet cake. I arrived 45 minutes before they closed and the food was perfect. The rib tips were seasoned and sauced well. I was shocked that the small potato salad was very small (almost like a sample size), the red velvet cake contain pecans on them that I loved. This place is very small so you only can order your food and leave, no sit in. I only waited a few minutes to get my food while chatting with another Customer. The owner was very friendly and appreciative.

The BBQ ribs were exceptional… the potato salad tasted like Sunday’s home made dinner. The ribs were falling off the bone. They are cooked outsize in a big old fashioned barrel smoker. Worth a trip in my opinion.

Visiting from CT and was looking for some BBQ. Lucky to find this hidden take out place. Huge full rack of ribs that was fall off the bone perfect. Beans and the potato salad was outstanding. Very friendly folks. I will probably be back before I go home.
