While I’m a fan of their prices and sales, their produce department is just awful. Rotting bags of spinach, fruit flies, and limited availability. I go to publix across the street for all my produce needs

This location has consistently disappointed. The lines are often long, avoid during high traffic times. We have been pan handled twice inside the store. Many more outside in the parking lot. Be careful after dark.

This is one of the most ghetto grocery stores I’ve shopped at which is depressing considering houses are some what pricey in this area. Well some streets they are. The grocery store is dimly lit. The red box is by the restroom. the bakery products are tasteless, dry, and disgusting. I only come here for certain items I can’t find at publix. Those who shop krogers and think they are cheaper than publix, YEAHRIGHT! Krogers is a step up from Winn Dixie. There is no way I would buy meat out of here, the meat dept has no customer service what so ever. The seafood dept looks dingy but the people who work it have good attitudes. Not really feeling this store or its inept cashier staff. There is one cashier that does stand out; it was a Caucasian woman about mid 40s, with a southern accent, long pony tail and she’s slender. She was running the show at the self check out. People had fumbled up the damn machines and I watched her single handedly handle it herself and she apologized to all of us who were waiting. She gets the 2nd star.

I honestly love this Kroger. I purchase mainly organic food, and love their Simple Truth products. Their organic selection to me has more selection than the Kroger on South Cobb. They also have a better selection than Publix. I saw today that they even have Simple Truth bread and rotisserie chicken!

I prefer this Kroger over the Publix next door due to the more reasonable prices and their more variable selection of products. This is a fairly small Kroger and it’s always been clean and easy to shop on my visits. Their employees aren’t as professional and kind as the Kroger I used to shop at before I moved, but oh well… I usually do majority of my shopping here with no issues. ;)

I shop here all of the time. The manager’s specials at Kroger are usually a good deal. I may not be shopping here anymore, however, after my experience with customer service today. The manager needs to train his customer service representatives how to politely interact with a customer. Here’s what happened: I got to my car and found that several items I had just purchased were not in my bags, so I returned to the register where they could not be found. I know it was my fault for not opening my bags at the register or in my cart before I left to make sure all of the items the cashier had supposedly placed in my bags were there, but I do not feel that I should have been treated like a liar and a criminal by the customer service associate with whom I interacted after my purchased items could not be located. Basically, the woman at customer service lectured me on how it was my responsibility to bag my groceries and get them into the cart at any register(not just self check-out) and that even though she knew I was probably lying, she would give me a refund this one and only time.(I’m pretty sure I saw this same woman arguing with a customer over incorrect change at the gas register a few months ago). Had I known I would have been treated this way, I would have just eaten the money. — and said so much for the good deals I thought I was getting.

I only go to Kroger for certain things like cereal or snacks for the kids but they got the other day when they had red seedless grapes on sale for $.99 and when I got home the grapes had seeds in them. Gotta love sales.

High prices and LOTS of expired pr very soon to be expired goods. Check the dates people! Not the worst but it is My last resort location. Take the time and ride to the one in Smyrna if you can.

Hard time checking out with a large number of items. The staff is agreeable — but there aren’t many of them. I’ve waited more than fifteen minutes to go through the checkout line on more than a few occasions. The selections are good — some more variety in the produce and seafood departments wouldn’t hurt — and the staples are available in abundance. This is my go-to for most shopping.

So what’s the difference between this and the Publix next door? Well, not much. I guess it depends on your preference. This Kroger does seem to have a lot more stuff than the Publix. However, it seems more disorganized. Also, I have to talk about the meat and seafood department. Man the seafood department stinks. I don’t know how old those fish are, but I did not want to stand 1 minute there. I would avoid getting seafood here. Also, the meat department doesn’t exist. If I wanted a specific cut, they won’t get it for you. Also, the meat lady plain ignored me until I flagged her down. I guess people who go to Kroger don’t ask for specific cuts of meat. Oh well.

Definitely a better experience! The cashier did toss my groceries around a bit, but they were bagged appropriately. Lots of things on «clearance» today… most still had a few days until expiration – my favorite kind!
