Sun Optics

Sometimes when adversity hits you get lucky and find a gem, this is one of those stories.
I broke my sunglasses as we were sailing along the Straits of Mackinac and was forced to go to my lame novelty back ups in order to shield my eyes knowing that when I got to the Island I had a quality pair in my shore bag. Well, my bag was missing when I arrived and I was reduced to wearing a pair of cheap shades while wandering the Island.
Searched high and low for a pair I liked over the next two days visiting most of the shops on the main drag not finding what it was I was looking for. Let’s be honest most places sell cheap glasses like what I was trying to replace. What was I looking for? I don’t know but I knew it would know it when I saw them.
On my last day I happened to look into the arcade at the Bicycle Inn and Suites, spied Sun Optics, and was saved. It is located at the back of the arcade and is not well marked but has a great selection of sunnies to peruse. The last case I hit had the glasses I was looking for, rang them up and left a happy camper. If it were not for a lost piece of luggage I may very well have never found them.
Now if only my bag would be found but that is being saved for another review…
