Mackinac Island is a tourist mecca, so it’s hard to find anything that feels truly special and«undiscovered». However, this place had good food and I like the Seabiscuit movie, so the theme was fun! We visited this place twice during our Mackinac Island stay.

This place should be called the Cheesebusicuit instead! Their service sucks and their food has sooo much unnecessary cheese it’s gross! We had breakfast there and my peppers, sausage omelett had soooo much cheese it was gross! The coffee was so watery and plain. It is very overpriced for what it is! Not worth your time!

Great meal in a cozy bistro. Loved the Painted Pony Macaroni appetizer(Mac n Cheese fried in a ball with tomato cream sauce). Lobster BLT was OK, but I should have read the menu more carefully to see it was actually a Lobster salad on BLT instead of Lobster meat. My wife’s chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries was excellent. Very friendly staff. Good Lunchtime experience.

Stopped by the restaurant for dinner. first time at Mackinac island. this place is one of the popular place to eat at… the line is always long. we waited for 35 minutes to be seated on a Saturday night. the restaurant has nice décor. and atmosphere is great Food: I was disappointed. We ordered lobster BLT and whitefish tacos. The lobster BLT is not horrible but it is just alright… the lobster is blended with mayo. red onion… the lobster meats were chopped into small pieces. I just wish the lobster pieces were bigger… the flavor was kinda salty for me… and bacon was really sweet… whitefish taco. the fish was deep fried. the fish was dry. there were absolute not flavor to the fish(i could not even taste any salts) the seasoning came from the coleslow but it is not enough to really bring out the flavor for the dish. the taco shell that held the whitefish was too oily and soggy… and the chips that come with the taco was a little stale Even though the food was not impressive. the service was excellent. My overall experience is alright. I may consider to come back again if i don’t have to wait in a line.

We stopped by at the bar one evening & then lunch the following day. At the bar, they have a couple infused drinks that were really good, along with some good beers on tap. One of the bartenders was super friendly, while the other was really odd, hitting on every woman at the bar, and treating my wife and I really strangely, making us feel really uncomfortable. The following day we came in for lunch. I ordered the Whitefish chowder breadbowl and my wife ordered the tomato basil bisque. I was disappointed with the breadbowl: maybe a cup of soup inside and lots of bread for more than the cost of a just a bowl. My wife and I loved the tomato basil bisque, though. Service was good. Overall, a decent place to check out.
