#touristtrap, this isn’t the original Sander’s shop, but it makes you believe it is. Anyways, let’s get on with it… you’re in this island, so you’re basically on a pure Michigan kind of trip. You buy michigan, you sorta eat michigan, and you even breathe michigan. Every one of the chocolates and fudge sold in this shop is made in Michigan. Maybe not all of the ice cream l, but who really cares? Every time I make my way up north, I make it a tradition to have black cherry ice cream, which they happen to have. They give you the option to have it as a milk shake as well. Yes! Their milkshake really does bring all the boys to the yard. Hehehehe Anyways, the staff is really nice. They’re very friendly and welcoming, plus they have awesome knowledge of their mechandise. The whole sea salt is the happening item right now. Make sure you take a package home. Anyway, life is good, it doesn’t matter if you’re in the middle of tourist ville. There’s nothing wrong with being one once in a blue moon. Follow me on Instagram and snapchat: rodtorres3

Good fudge shop and they also have 12 or so ice cream flavors. They also sell Sander’s fudge in a can for ice cream as can be expected. I didn’t try their fudge but I did get their Mackinac Island Fudge and Blueberry Waffle cone flavors and they were very good. The ice cream prices were very good compared to most of the other ice creameries/fudge shops on the island. They have two locations on Main street so it’s hard to miss them.

I love this place, they have not only fudge, but also ice cream, caramel corn, smoothies, and basically anything that will satisfy your sweet tooth :) Their fudge prices are the best one that I’d found in the Island(buy 1 pound get ½ free), especially with the coupon that you can get from the visitors center. My usual picks for fudge — German Chocolate, Rocky Road and Chocolate Walnut, though the Turtle and Mocha fudge looked really tempting too.

We stopped in here for some ice cream and left with a box full of fudge! They have lots of different flavors and we were pretty sad that we didn’t get to try them all. All the workers we talked with were very helpful and were glad to offer suggestions, give us samples, and answer any questions we had. We’ll definitely be back here next time we’re on the island to pick out some more fudge!

We went here to check out why there was such high numbers of people in the shop. Well they have wide variety of sweets especially Fudge. They also have shakes and Ice cream. We bought the ice cream and the price was decent so was the ice cream. The ice cream wasn’t the best but on a hot summer day it hit the spot.

Terribly rude! I went in with my family to get shakes on Labor Day and the Hawaiian lady making the shakes was so mean to us. I even asked her how her day was and she didn’t answer me. How embarrassingly rude on such a beautiful island.

This is the place my childhood is made of. We literally went in here three times within 24 hours. They have bumpy cake people. And, bumpy cake fudge. And, bumpy cake ice cream. I actually didn’t get any because we were traveling, but it made me so happy in my heart to just see it! I got a delicious candy bar with toffee and pretzels, which I’m still savoring! I also tried out the pistachio ice cream and you can’t go wrong there. A huge serving for four bucks! They only way it could have been better was if I found the coffee cakes I grew up on, but they didn’t have them at that store.

Excellent treat at the end of a day on the island. Best part? Hearing some great Christian music playing while we were in there. Girl at the counter said the owner picks the music. Excellent coffee and smiling staff greet you at the counter. We will be back!

Going to Mackinac on a diet is like going to Hawaii and not getting in the ocean. –What’s the point? With nearly 20 fudge shops on this tiny island, this isn’t the time to count calories! ;) Sanders has a wide variety of sweets. Everything from fudge to chocolate covered baked goods, caramel apples, ice cream and shakes and even some packaged gluten free cookies by the register. It’s also in a large open space, which is a welcomed relief from the crowds that line the streets and pack all of the small business fronts. Friendly staff as well. –Even when this crazy redhead made them remove all of the caramel apples from the display case so that she could hand pick the best one. ;)
