I’m not usually a fan of single topping pizzas, but that sausage pizza is bomb! We got the 2 one topping pizzas for $ 20(rounding). Thin crust, super yummy sauce and seasoned perfectly! Impressed, will go back! And the owner was super friendly and welcoming.

The best pizza in Macomb, hands down. Thin crust, but not in that typical, gross thin crust way. I’ve been there several times and I’ve never been disappointed. This last time, we ordered a family size pepperoni, which was on sale for $ 12.99, which I thought was a pretty great deal. Fresh, fast, and delicious. And the owner came around and asked everyone how everything was and he seemed like a really nice guy. I’ll be going back.

Even though I order the same pizza(gluten free pizza with sausage, mushroom, and black olives) every time I get different quality of pizza. Some orders it turned out great, while other orders turned out disappointing. Since it’s the only local place that offer gluten free pizza I will still stick with Larry A’s for the pizza.

Went there for lunch buffet 12÷31÷15 during a very busy time. It was clean, food was fresh and tasted like I remembered. Yum! Thanks for the awesome lunch and wonderful hospitality!

Things started out pretty rocky when i received the delivery order at my motel room and the Pepperoni pizza with black olives and jalapenos was missing the pepperoni! Thats like ordering a cheeseburger and getting just a grilled cheese! I called Larry A’s and informed them of the oversight and they jumped on it. 30 minutes later I received the best pizza I have ever consumed for dine in or take out! The cheese was plentiful, gooey, hot, stringy and delicious! The crust was thin, buttery and crispy. There were generous slices of thick zesty pepperoni with no trace of greasy residue on the bottom of the box. For the price paid, i could not be any more pleased with how my order was handled. I received a follow up phone call from the store manager to ensure my satisfaction. If I could give Larry A’s 6 stars, I would. I only wish there were Larry A’s everywhere I travel as its pizza done right from people that pride themselves with delivering the good stuff!

Well all I have to say is holly s**t and wow. Food is fresh and tasty, being from Chicago this can be right up there. My girlfriend had the Italian sausage sandwich along with my large pepperoni calzone and 2 dinner salads total was 25 bucks. Place was friendly and very friendly. Minus a dirty table the average score out of ten is a 8.5. Go if you want a better experience than domino’s.

Visit on Monday. We got the large pizza for cheap cheap cheap. Place gets packed on Mondays. They cut pizza into squares. BTW, if you need a detailed receipt, they will hand-write a receipt.

Great place for pizza. If Larry is there, say hello. He’s always friendly and is willing to make a custom pizza for the buffet for your group.

This is in my top 5 pizza places, and I have ate at pizza places all over the U.S. Seriously. Their crust and sauce are a unique combo. I highly recommend the sausage pizza with some breadsticks. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Local pizza joint with friendly attitude. Larry is the owner/operator and pizza is in his blood. All you can eat lunch pizza buffet is a great deal at $ 7.00 and the pizza is superb. This is the best pizza in Macomb and is consistent every time. It’s the place where the locals eat their ZA!

A staple here in Macomb for many years, to many miss this gem nestled between a Comcast pay center and a title loan place. As soon as you walk in, the owner is often the one to greet you at the counter. He never rushes you and helps you by describing his dishes fully when you ask. My last trip here I ordered the mild wings and a small calzone with a drink. The tab was more than reasonable and they had my wings out quickly. Clearly fresh, nor breaded, the wings were of good size and cooked fully yet not overdone. The mild used paired well with the ranch dipping sauce and had the right amount of spice for wing preference. The calzone soon followed, and it arrived hot and fresh and as ordered. We orders the spinach and mushroom calzone. The spinach was bright green and fresh, not canned. The mushrooms were also fresh and cooked properly. The crust was baked to the right point, not overdone nor doughy at any point. The cheese to sauce ratio was outstanding, as I prefer light sauce and heavy cheese. This calzone more than met that challenge. The flavor was excellent and worth the price. Overall, this is one of those local gems that cook it hot and fresh, and that make a smaller town unique. Kudos to the consistency this place offers.

My all time favorite pizza place. I’ve been eating here ever since I was little. During college, I had takeout every Monday because of there half price large and family size which made it a great deal. Their pizza buffet for lunch is also a fantastic deal. I moved to the Chicago area about 5 years and this is still my favorite. Every trip home it’s definitely a must have. One of the things that sticks with me is even though I don’t live in Macomb anymore, whenever I go in for a visit, the owner still remembers me and says hello. They also have one of the best pizza deals around which is ½ off any large or family size for takeout on Monday nights. While finishing up college, I had their pizza almost every Monday. It was a great deal and I couldn’t get enough. The other fantastic deal they have is their lunch pizza buffet. All you can eat pizza with salad and a drink for $ 6.75. No one in Chicago believes me that you can get a good pizza buffet for that price. They also have something there that for some reason I can’t find in any Chicago spots which is garlic salt. It must be a Macomb thing because most of the spots have it. I guess the only other thing I can say is do yourself a favor and go grab a pizza from Larry A’s.

Pizza is ok, service not so. I ordered a pizza for delivery. When the lady came to my door and I wrote the check she said she could not accept my check, that there was some kind of problem. After calling, the store owner told me due to numerous bounced checks, he could not accept a check from my residence. I told him I live in a house that is divided into two. I was #1, while my neighbor was #2. Though my check, the bank, the name, etc. were completely different from that of my neighbor, including my checks showing as apt #1, he would still not accept. I had no relation to my neighbor other than being a neighbor. And this being a college towns, there are numerous renters. Food is good on most occasions, aside from pizza being burnt a couple of times. I like to support the small business owners in town. But after a few times trying to explain I am not related to my neighbor that I have apartment #1 and my neighbor #2, and the only thing similar the street address, I gave up.

I have ordered pizza for home delivery from Larry A several times and I have never been disappointed. The pizza comes warm and fresh, with the big bubbles of cheese, bursting with flavor. While I agree that it is a tad bit more expensive than the other pizza places(pizza hut, dominos, aurelio) around town, it is definitely worth it. Overall rating — — 3⁄5

When it comes to pizza in a college town, this epitomizes all that is a local pizza joint! Best crust, toppings and overall flavor of what you’ll find in Macomb. I’d gladly take a Larry A’s pizza any day over the chain options or big-city pizza shops!
