Pretty much the only place in Macomb worth going.

Small, hometown bar in the«heart» of Macomb. Typical scene in a small town: live music, nice bartenders, cheap drinks, and a mixture of locals and students. Most importantly, QUAALUDES! For reals, the kid in me loves the milkshake taste, and the adult me appreciates the heavy(and I mean significantly heavy) amount of alcohol that’ll get you drunk after one cup! It comes in a few different versions, chocolate, vanilla, chocolate mint to name a few. Great place to start a night out on the town :)

Had to do this review into two parts so I can build the all important list that has been requested a thousand times over. Here goes… Pt.1) The Café is an awesome place to catch a live act. The downstairs rocks for having a drink and relaxing instead of watching d-bags fist pump the shit out of life over at the forum or pace. Honestly, this place is a solid start or end to any night of the week depending on your mood. Four shiny, solid stars. Moving right a long… Pt.2) This is the kickoff spot for Mom’s weekend and stage two of the cougar hunting circuit. Every bar in town fills to the brim with our favorite type of animals from the feline family. We normally choose The café to get a solid buzz before trecking to the change of pace or forum to do real damage. Beyond Mom’s weekend, be careful, actually vacate the city for siblings weekend. It is just an underage and over all dangerous mix. Well, that sums this review up. Keep up the great work Café and I shall return!

The café is a great place to go have a drink. The upstairs is your typical college town bar with live music(that generally features mid to upper level talent from the region), dark lights, and a bunch of youngsters socializing. There are drink specials and, I believe, Thursday is: Jamaican Quaalude, which is a sinful, chocolaty, potion that will leave you with a foggy memory the next morning. The downstairs of the café is where I generally prefer to be. It’s much smaller down there. There is a pool table and a dartboard, a few poker machines, an almost unused jukebox, and a heatlamp sitting over some popcorn. A few bar tables are scattered throughout the floorplan, so a small group can socialize pretty well. If you visit the downstairs of the café after work, be sure to say«hi» to Max. He’s the distinguished looking gentleman smiling at you from behind the bar. one warning might be that the place can get really packed on friday and saturday nights — it’s a college bar, so if you want a seat upstairs to see a band, you should be sure to get there early. If you want to dance around spilling your drink and having drinks spilled on you then you can just hang out by the band. The downstairs can get really packed as well. Remember to tip your bartender.
