The family was looking for a light dinner while passing through Macon. I ordered a Ruben, which came on a weak excuse for rye bread. Though it was warm, the bread was barely shown a flat top and no butter, no crunch. The thousand island was syrup sweet. Lastly, the amount of corned beef was on the light side. My wife enjoyed her salad, but my daughter’s were each underwelmed. The service was pleasant, but the food did not live up to the price tag.

This place is a family favorite. What I love most about this place is the service. The service is always excellent. Today, my husband’s hot sandwhich came«not hot» and the manager on duty, Greg, took care of it graciously. There are no other quality sandwhich shops on this side of town, so I’m happy mcallister’s is here!

I love this place! I always get the choose two with a spud and sandwich and I’ve never been disappointed yet. The Arnold Palmer is not good to me not enough sugar. And the lemonade is too tart. Other than that the customer service is fantastic and it’s a pretty chilled atmosphere

Mixed, but overall good. I’m generally not a fan of sandwich shops because I can easily make a sandwich at home. Of course, I guess I could make just about anything else at home too, but not as easily as I could make a sandwich. So my logic is usually why should I pay someone to walk into my kitchen and make a sandwich for me? Well, I decided to give McAlister’s a try anyway because I was feeling sick one day and I thought a sandwich would be just about the only thing I could keep down. I ordered a French Dip sandwich with potato salad. The sandwich was pretty good and the dip was ok, but could’ve used a bit more salt. But I thought was really great was the potato salad. It was far superior to anything I could make at home… at least without a lot of effort. So, in the name of laziness, I decided to go back to McAlister’s. This time, I had ham and cheddar on a croissant with potato salad. Well, this time the sandwich was really great, but the potato salad had a hair in it. I was sad. I didn’t say anything to them about it because I didn’t want to be that guy. But still, I was sad. I’ll be back. Hopefully next time I’ll have delicious, hairless potato salad and a good sandwich that I don’t mind paying for too.

Quick and accurate service. Fresh, fast, and hot. I could eat here multiple days a week! Highly recommended.

It has been a while since have been to one of these franchises, and I did not remember that it was so much like Panera Bread. I had the roast beef sandwich and pasta salad, and both were good. Other selections were tasty according to the members of our party. Serviceable and good for a quick lunch.

Yet another mediocre sandwich chain… Reminded me of a Subway trying to be a Panera and not doing it well. 3 stars for friendly staff and clean restaurant 2 stars for food Ordered a Turkey Reuben with mac n’ cheese side. Liked that the Turkey Reuben had coleslaw rather than sauerkraut and that the bread was toasted and not super greasy but otherwise unimpressive. Mac n’ cheese reminded me of boxed Velveeta mac n’ cheese = boring. BF ordered a Club sandwich with potato salad side. Club had honey mustard for some ‘zazz’ but was overpowering. Very little bacon on the club. Potato salad tasted like processed food service potato salad with mustard added. Both sandwiches seemed small.

Havarti chicken sandwich is good just a little spicy and chicken salad deluxe on croissant is good. The sweet tea is not as good as people will tell you it is! Overall ok sandwich shop with local flair but nothing special. Most sandwiches are served cold as stated on other reviews even when they are toasted, I can’t stand this! Expect to pay $ 10 a person.

The Reuben I ordered was cold and thrown together with a hunk of kraut in the middle and corn beef falling out the sides. Was it good? Kind of… but if I get another sandwich like this from them again I will not be back at this location.

McAlisters is definitely one of the best places in town to get a sandwich(or soup or a potato). The ingredients are of good quality and the employees are always peasant. My only criticism is that they lack some of the ingredients that I think should be standard at a more classy sandwich place, such as avocado, sprouts, cranberry(they may have it seasonally), and cream cheese. Also, many people complain that it is expensive, but their lunch combo deals for $ 5.99 are a bargain, and the quality and service warrant a slightly higher price than the run-of-the-mill sandwich shop.

Excellent food. Sub was awesome, salad fresh and soup was good ant steaming hot. The chicken and dumplings were different, but as good as Cracker Barrel’s. Nice atmosphere, cool décor and extremely clean including the bathrooms.
