Ramada Macon

Stay far far away from this place. We were on a trip to Florida and chose this hotel due to the Ramada brand. I made a reservation and arrived around 11pm. The Lady at the front desk was less than friendly and talking to a male who was hanging out in the lobby, presumably her friend. We were given a room after the 10 – 15 minute slow check in and headed to the room. The room STUNK of room deodorizer or perfume, to the point we could not stay there I called the front desk and the lady who checked me in stated she would call maintenance to come and see if they can smell it too. I advised her all we wanted to do was to go to sleep and why would I be calling if there was not an issue. I waited 15 minutes then walked down to the desk. When she saw me approaching she picked up the phone and called maintenance, meaning if I had not came down she would not have called. Another 10 minutes goes by and an older Indian man looking very disheveled and wearing sweatpants and dirty shirt arrived and was mumbling. I do not know if he was intoxicated or what was going on. He claimed he was maintenance and move to another room. Back down to the desk to get another key, got to the room and the key didn’t work. The new room was a little better, but still in need of a deep cleaning. All of the rooms are outdated and the door handles don’t work correctly. This is a MOTEL this does not deserve a Ramada name. I tried to contact the manager multiple times and no one has called me back. STAY ELSEWHERE AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Very disappointed! I have never stayed in a more smelly, dirty room while traveling! The toilet was broken and when I confronted the manager on duty-​Mr. Bentley about it, it took him a few hours to relocate me (at that point it was after 12 am already so practically I didn’t have the chance to actually rest)… On top of it Mr. Bentley was extremely rude, condescending and had absolutely no idea about customer service!!! I don’t even understand how someone like that can be hired to deal with customers! I will definitely not stay in any of the Ramada Hotels again. One time was one too many!!!
I rarely post bad reviews but I often use Unilocal to research places I book and I wish I had done so before my trip to Macon… I would have gladly added $ 20 per night to stay in a cleaner, more friendly hotel!

Disappointed expected better based on the
rating. The room stunk as it was a previous smoking room but booked as non smokjng. The fridge was loud and buzzed every 10 min for 10 min loudly. The bathroom had ahort hairs all over it… not mine. The bed is horrible and not comfortable.
Homeless hang out in parking lot and confront guests — asking for money.
Only good thing staff man was nice but twice had to back cause of key issues. He walked me back to room making sure they worked.
