Super 8 Macon West

Great hotel! Room included a flat screen TV, small refrigerator, and microwave.
The bed was super comfortable.
They have free wifi.
They are located behind a gas station, and conveniently located within walking distance of a few restaurants. They also have free breakfast in the morning.
It was a nice place, and it really does look, and feel new.
We enjoyed our stay.
Downsides: The cable was slightly blurry.
Breakfast would be gone if you didn’t get there quick enough.

Usually you get what you pay for in life. Sometimes not even that. I was driving to FL with my girlfriend, and we needed a place to stay for 1 night. Just a short stop so we figured a cheaper hotel would do. We booked a Super 8 on the FL/​GA line, but got started late, so we changed our reservation from the road. This hotel seemed like a good location. It seemed like too good a deal. After booking the room (very bad practice) I went to check the reviews. This hotel had none, but another Super 8 in Macon had many, very bad reviews. When we got in around 10 PM I was pleasantly surprised. Overwhelmed almost. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and very clean. All of the furniture looked brand new. The room had a medium sized fridge and microwave, and even a coffee pot. The wireless internet worked good. We skipped the free breakfast to get on the road. We saw the night desk clerk checking the property several times even though it was not a bad area. If you want a good nights sleep at a clean place in Macon. Book a room. We even got 2 free drinks at the bar connected to the Ramada Inn next door.

This was definitely the best place my boyfriend and I stayed at during our road trip for the price. Going to a motel, you don’t expect much. But this Super 8 was clean and comfortable. All the standard amenities, I think they had a fridge and possible a microwave in each room. Decent TV.
The night manager was young and extremely nice and helpful. He gave us a «midnight discount» for arriving so late, so we only ended up paying 40 a night. I think the AAA rate is 45 a night.
The manager in the morning was not as nice. He was a little patronizing and rude towards me, so what can you do. I might have even given this place 5 stars if it wasn’t for that. If I had written this the same day I might have given it a 3 but I’m feeling nicer now.
Also, the standard Super 8 breakfast in the morning – cereal, toast, pastries, coffee, even waffles!
