Like said before… this location is HORRIBLE. We waited in the«20 items or less» line for nearly 15 minutes.. consumer service is average.. it just so happens that on our way in today someone got caught trying to «walk out» without paying for something. Police units it’s were on site, this made us feel a little safer, but without the added police on site, this location feels unsafe, and susceptible to many of the things that are going on around the world rite now. If you do decide to visit this location, I would carry a personal protection weapon or at least have your head on a swivel.

Horrible long lines, customer service is OK, it just depends on the person you encounter. Product availability could be better! If you go anytime after 10pm ish expect to be in line FOREVER because they normally only have one lane, two lanes of your lucky but usually that line is long as well. This Walmart could do a lot better, if you are able to I recommend the Walmart on Zebulon Rd over this one. Also, please make sure the item you purchase rings up for the correct price because there has been so many times when my item rings up incorrectly!

Oh my god what a terrible tire repair shop. First I have a blowout on I 16 and call the store to verify they are open, yep they are I tell them I am an hour out and show up at 6:30. They then tell me they cannot change tires unless it is an emergency. Ok a blown tire constitutes as an emergency since I can’t drive on the small spare for another three hours. The clerk is sullen and takes our keys and writes it up once we select the replacement tire. We start to shop. Next I hear over the PA speaker automotive is looking for a manager. The manager yells over the head of a customer«Really, really!» Then has a yelling conversation with the auto clerk 50 feet away. The manager give me some BS about how they must have two technicians on duty to replace a tire die to OSHA regulations. And she has a mortgage and will not stick her neck out for me. Obviously no compromise and no tire. The remainder of the transaction went the same surly clerk slides the keys to me with no customer acknowledgment Stay away from this place they obviously don’t care about their customers. Found a Pep boys on 1230 Eisenhower parkway with friendly competent people. Go there instead.

Trying to look up Walmart, you see another listing for it having moved. I have to tell you now that it did not. It’s still at 1401 Gray HWY. That’s what my receipt says and that’s the address above the doorway. This had a rating of about three stars until listed as moved. Now it’s rated higher. Don’t fall for a four-star rating when it should be lower. This store has some problems that could be worked out but they often fail to do so. They don’t have to. They’re going to do what they say and that’s it! How many times has this mantra been chanted by now defunct Georgia businesses? All it’s going to take to raise that rating is fixing a few things like the broken fixtures in the bathroom, cleaning the bathrooms once in a while and maybe do some cleaning on the perimeter of the parking lot, for starters. Attitude at the checkout is hit or miss. Some are very rude and have that attitude going strong above and beyond the call of duty. A few others couldn’t be nicer. However, the bad apples spoil the whole lot! As a customer, you quickly learn which checker to avoid and discover why that checker always has a short line when the place is packed. From the look at the car tags, this store gets a lot of business from Jones County. When they build a Walmart SC in Gray, this one will likely be «Gone With The Wind» or seriously hurting for business. Cons: –Bad attitude at some checkouts. Save it for the club. –This seems to me to the be the last store in Macon, if not middle Georgia, to be stocked. You will see empty spots on the shelves for some products and other products that are carried by other Walmarts in town, just aren’t there. –Bathrooms. Even if you need to go so bad that you may soil yourself, think before you use them. The bathroom in the back had feces on the wall not so long ago when I used it. The one in the front often has what looks like dried urine on the floor near the urinals. Lots of TP and paper towels may litter the floor. The front bathroom had one of those automatic flush urinals that someone had ripped out of the wall. Bare wires remained for many months unpaired or even cautioned. –General cleanliness. It’s just not there. The floor is often dirty and it appears that mopping has been something outlawed here. –Small Walmart. Aisles are too close together because the square footage of the store. –Pharmacy. Well, that’s another review but think of prison and you’ll get a good idea of how it works. –Stock never there. Out of it. I have been here to buy paint and they were out of one of the mixing colors. They sent me across town to the Zepulan location. –Does not carry some products that other Walmarts in the area does. They either run out or just don’t have it. To the credit of one employee, she did direct me to another store close by that had the product that I was looking for. –Rats in the parking lot. One day I parked on the side which is against the hill with a little stand of pines. A rat or two actually came out to eat something on the pavement that someone else had discarded. –Has it’s own exit ramp. Hard to get in, hard to get out. No sidewalk. Hazard to pedestrians and motorists alike. I don’t know who’s responsible for leaving a space for a sidewalk on one side but not putting it there, the city or the contractor but it’s just a mound of dirt now, mud when it rains. Shame on the city or contractor. However, it does make those who shoplift spend maybe an extra five minutes trying to get out and allows the police, if they show, more time to catch them. –Wobbly, shaky, noisy carts. Do they import these from other Walmarts? Pros: –Not all employees have their attitude on but you don’t know until it’s too late. Then after figuring out who’s who and what’s what, you know why some checkers have short lines and some stand inline in others. –They do have a roaming security truck outside. Only Walmart I’ve ever seen to have this. I don’t know what a 58 yo 125lb woman in small truck with a yellow flashing light can do though. For basic shopping on the east side of town, this Walmart will fit. It’s also, from the county tags, a major shopping point for Jones and Twiggs county as I assume this is the closest that there is. –Most of the employees are decent and hard-working, that’s obvious. But the issues of cleanliness persist and be warned, if you have to go to the bathroom, stand up.
