Went there for lunch on a Friday afternoon and was excited about the atmosphere. There was live music and the weather was beautiful. Although there were tables available, the server told us food was taking a long time to come out. Then he progressed on to the tables he had just sat because he forgot the menu. We didn’t understand that he was not going to seat us until he returned and told us so. Very disappointed :(

I would agree with the overall rating of this place: A-ok. It is really nothing special, and while the food is at least average, it is certainly not memorable. They do have a good sized drink menu and I enjoyed my virgin piña colada. The ambiance is typical for a touristy area in florida. There is a deck area out on the water with fans and umbrellas for when it’s really hot. Be careful about sitting out here, the gulls will steal food right off your plate if you are not careful(«mine? mine? mine?»). At times, when boats are going by, you can smell the fuel, which may be bothersome for certain people. When I went, the service was very friendly, but sitting out on the deck made it seem like it took forever to see a server, get refills on drinks, get our checks, etc. Overall, I didn’t hate it. But I would want to try some thing else if I make it out there again.

First, the good: the service was friendly and accommodating. The bad: the drinks(red & white sangria, piña colada) were poorly made. All of the cups & utensils and many of the plates were disposable plastic :(. The food was sloppy and uninspired. The bathroom was smelly and unkempt. Free parking was limited. I can’t imagine enjoying the dining experience here unless you were already drunk. If you must eat here, order the fish & chips. The two people in my party who ordered these liked them OK.

Not bad overall but not great either. They have a cool little deck with seating under the boardwalk that is a great place to have a drink while at johns pass. but the food leaves a little to be desired. I had the grouper sandwich, It wasn’t the freshest grouper and tasted decent but i wouldn’t order it again. My wife had a philly and she said it wasn’t good because her bread was really stale. They do have a good atmosphere and are in a good location so stop by and have a beverage and enjoy they boats and dolphins in the pass, but I cant recommend sitting down and having a meal.

This has become a favorite spot for me and my daughter when she’s in town, so we had to bring her husband and children as soon as we all got to Florida after Thanksgiving. While my daughter truly enjoys the pulled pork sandwich, I can’t tolerate it, as it always soaks through the bun so badly you have to eat it with a fork. But I will agree that the flavor is excellent. My son-in-law’s fish and chips were cooked perfectly, but I personally prefer a beer batter over their batter. My turkey BLT wrap was good, as were the fries. The stars of our meal are always the drinks, though. My daughter is completely in love with the Peach Dream and this particular day was a high point as she said it was the best one she’d ever had. My strawberry daiquiri was fantastic, as was my son-in-law’s hurricane. Unfortunately, the second hurricane was a disaster. We weren’t sure what was in it. The re-make was closer to the original, but still nowhere near the quality. That’s when we learned that the bartenders had just switched. Bummer. We enjoyed sitting on the pier/dock and our server, Jason, was fantastic. His attention to detail went above and beyond! We’ll definitely be back!

Expensive and blah drinks. Way over priced. The only redeeming thing is the location.

We go here often, especially when the grandkids are in town. Sit on the deck(the bands are often way too loud inside). The view is great — watch the dolphins and boats while you eat and the«inside» décor is fun and tropical. The menu is varied enough for everyone and the bar offers lots of fun drinks. We’ve never gotten a meal we didn’t like. I took 1 star off because of the loud music.

I didn’t eat here and after reading the negative reviews, don’t think I ever will. But… the drinks!!! I’m a frozen drink kinda girl and I just found my new favorite drink!!! Come for the scene, live music and drinks!!!

Wow. Don’t know where to start. Positives: cool location, good music and good service. JUSTDON’T EATTHERE. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t take a picture of the babyfood, 1988 liquified steak’um and fake cheese inside a supposed«steak» quesadilla that cost 13 dollars which i was unfortunate enough to order. Honestly, I would be embarrassed to claim ownership or management of this place if that’s the standard. The good news on the food was that at least my girlfriends fish and chips didn’t hit the blender as mine did, 14.99 for fish i wouldn’t serve to my dog nonetheless. Frozen fish purchased at Sam’s isn’t the Fish in Fish and chips fyi. Suggestion, eat someplace else and go drink there after if you must, however it’s tough to suggest that given the lack of respect they have for their clientele.

I’m really torn about my score on this one and here’s why. We went twice this week. Trip 1: wonderful. I liked my Philly steak and cheese so much I ordered it again on the 2nd trip. It was a little pricey for the whole family, but the atmosphere is so fun. A man named Chuck was singing really fun, well-known songs from the stage above the bar(very cool) and we really enjoyed our appetizers of onion rings and cheese sticks. The rest of the family had wings and loved them. Trip 2: not so much. The band was way too loud and we couldn’t hear each other or the waitress. The food came quickly and was just as good. However we were about half way through when my daughter found a COCKROACH in her bowl of wings! We were given free food and an apology, and paid for our drinks, but I think my 10 year old is traumatized. So disgusting!

Julie was the best bartender we have ever had. Her fresh lime margaritas are bomb and she was super personable. Will definitely come back again

Just plain old good food. Had the big fish sandwich with fries. Could have fed a small army with it… tasty!

I have to admit, even though this is a total and complete tourist trap, it’s pretty damn fun! Been here a couple of times and the only reasons were to get out of the intense heat. This place is infested with misting fans. Feels incredible. Never had the food here so I can’t comment on that but the vibe is great. Friendly crowd, great staff and the bands are amazing! I will definitely come back next time I’m in the area.

This review is for the Treasure Island Tap House owned by The Hut The atmosphere is clean and large, the food was good, but I was warned about the loud music. The food is very pricey for a bar scene and took a long time to deliver. When I received my meal, it was cold. There were only 4 tables full when I arrived, and 3 of them left very quickly. I told the bartender that the music was ridiculously loud, and her comment was, «I know, I’ve told them to turn it down 3 times.» I could not hear the person sitting next to me! When the band went on break, the 3 people that were left in the establishment were so relieved! The bartender even commented on how nice it was(then fix it!!! People leaving = no money!). I don’t know what audience they are trying to appeal to. The menu prices do not align with the younger, loud music. We won’t be back.

Visibly this place is well put together. Great location. The food was over priced and poorly executed. My friends ordered boneless buffalo wings and got McDonalds chicken nuggets dipped into cheap buffalo sauce. Literally the same shape and texture as McDonalds Nuggets. Priced at $ 1 each, we would’ve gone to McDonalds instead. I had a burger that was dry, unflavored, and over priced. Nice staff. Great performers. Sangria was sub-par. Overall we were highly disappointed.

Cool island theme bar on the water in Johns pass. Full bar and live music with reasonable drink prices. Bartenders were friendly and service overall was very good. Lots of tv’s and 10+ beers on tap. Didn’t try the food. Looked mostly like typical bar food with lots of fried options. Definitely a cool place to go if you are looking for drinks on the water. Live band played of variety of music and took many different requests.

The restaurant is a token tourist trap typical in a coastal vacation spot. Average food with inflated prices with average service at best. You can get a lot better quality food with a reasonable price tag close by. I’ve dined here 3 times and each time I’ve left disappointed and feeling a bit queasy. Only positive is the laid back atmosphere and the waterfront dining option.

Food is tasty drinks are reasonable and very tasty. Overall a really cute restaurant. The only reason I took away one star is because the bathroom was truly disgusting. Our kids had some virgin frozen drinks and drank with smiles.

Located in John’s Pass(cute touristy) area, the Hut is an open air bar/restaurant that reminds me of many Mexican/Caribbean beach joints. You step down into the main area, lots of palapa covering, huge bar, tons of seating, must be hopping in the evenings. Casual food, but I was able to get a veggie wrap with rice and beans on the sideinstead of fries. Nothing to replace the cheese; hummus or avocado would have been great. She didn’t make us drink our wine from plastic cups. Nice female bartender gave us the scoop on the area. A crow came through looking for scraps and an occasional screech was heard, not from other birds but some patrons. Are people really afraid of crows?
