Went to Cazadores for Fathers Day and it was good. The service was not great, but I understand… it was fathers day. I had the cazadores fajita and it was really delicious. The chips and salsa were store bought, so that was no good. Overall, I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a decent mexican meal.

Best Mexican place in Madera! I come here so often and tried mostly everything. Servers are quick, drinks are good and cold too. My two favorite plates over all has to be Pollo Cazadores Plate & Camarones Costa Azul.

Food is great! But HORRIBLE customer service. Do NOT sit on the patio area. They will not serve you! I don’t usually write reviews, but after leaving the restaurant on an empty stomach because they forgot we were sitting outside not once but on 3 different occasions I had to express my disappointment

1st impression is clean friendly envoroment. Very busy 4 tables needed to be cleaned, no where else to sit but that means good food and busy. Music is upbeat and no so loud that you feel that you have to yell to talk to patrons. Only waited 5 min and all tables cleared and everyone waiting has been seated. Very attentive staff. Asked for house favorites and waitress gave me 3 very different options another good sign of a well run establishment. Ordered a beer and had it and chips with in 3 min of being seated. Salsa tastes like mid spicy ketchup, but the chips are really fresh and warm. Asked for spicier salsa and it did not dissapoint. Much better. Beer is super cold and tastes perfect, obviously poured from clean lines. Ordered chimichangas 1 adobada the other carnitas. Presentation is great with big portions. OK now for the food. The beans and rice were both well above average bordering great. The carnitas chimichanga was very bland in flavor. It looked and tasted so much like boiled chicken that I asked the waitress just incase they mixed my order up. They did not, just not very flavorful. The adobada on the other hand was magnificent. It did not need toppings or anything. I wss thinking a solid 4+… then i tried the adobada and had to raise to a 5… Give this place a try.

Ordered 5 tacos(asada), the meat was old and hard and waitress was slow and inattentive. It was not a busy day so no excuses. Reason for at least the second star is because the Tortilla was at least warm.

The Camarones Costa Azul was bomb. And the goblet of 805 was only $ 4.40. Check it out!

My husband is no fan of Mexican food — but I love it — it’s comfort food for me. So when he suggested that we give this place a try — I jumped on the idea. Right from the beginning, I knew it was a mistake. Usually, when trying a new Mexican place — I will order the Huevos Rancheros. If they can get that right — then I’ll be back to try the rest of the menu. My first indication that something was not right, was when I asked what kind of tortillas came with it. I was told — none! She went on to say that the eggs were served on a crispy tortilla with rice and beans. Well, my experience at GOOD Mexican places is that they serve tortillas on the side. Knowing that I was not going to get Huevos Rancheros done right here, I changed my order to Chimichangas. I really cannot say that what I got was Chimichangas. Apparently here, the Chimichangas consists of a fried tortilla that is doughy and not crisp, wrapped around a huge wedge of cheese with a miniscule amount of carne asada peppered throughout. Unfortunately they cut the Chimichangas in half so the cheese quickly conjealed into a fatty mess of cold cheese. I ate one piece, opened up another and picked out the meat, gave one piece to my husband who quickly rejected it and left the final piece on my plate amonst the piles of cold gloppy cheese that I left behind. My husband ordered the Bistek con Huevos. My husbands«bistek» was flavorful but as tough as jerky. The beans were sweet, thin and runny — and tasted like hummus. The rice was moist and fluffy and completely devoid of any flavor — no onions, or peppers. The guacamole was very sparse but OK. Service was lackluster. I suggest that if you want really GOOD Mexican food — drive to Salinas and try the Gutierrez Drive-in. They have no ambiance — but the food is great.

Terrific place. Very fresh chips and salsa, large portion sizes for all dishes ordered(five entrees from $ 9 to $ 13), great presentation, a very sweet waitress, and clean tables and bathrooms. Was concerned initially because ‘bar and grill’ places tend not to make food quality the biggest priority, but was very pleasantly surprised. Recommended!

four of us went in, service was very good and helpful. Sadly the food was only fair. My wife had a chile relleno and enchilada combo she ate most of, but was not impressed. My fajitas(beef) had ok flavor but were a bit fatty or gristly, which I detest. The bell peppers and onions were ok, maybe a bit over-cooked, but since it is a sizzling dish I won’t knock them. Rice and beans: beans were very creamy and rather bland, the rice was nicely steamed but lacking in flavor. Chips and salsa: Chips were ok: thin and warm, and the salsa had decent flavor, a bit of a bite to it, and good texture. Corn tortillas were excellent. Our two friends ordered a vegetarian chimichanga ala carte, and a chile relleno and enchiladas. None of us were really thrilled with our meals and will not return unless the menu gets an overhaul. The inside is nice, tile floor and three TV’s giving it a sports bar feel, and it has nice décor. There is lots of room to improve their recipes and an outside consultant who could give advice for the kitchen would more than likely create a lot more repeat customers. We will wait…

Worst service ever… went in to see the Giants win the nlcs. There are 3 tvs…2 in the bar and 1 on the wall. Of course we sat at the bar. We asked the server ‘perla’ if we can watch the Giants game and she said no… really? So she said another patron was there first and he wanted to watch hockey… I said no problem. .first come first serve. I get it. Then the hockey game was over. I politely asked if we could watch the Giants game. She grabbed the remote and I thought she was gonna put the Giants game on… and to my surprise she put on football!!! Really? … New England vs ny jets!!! Unbelievable! !!. I would understand if we lived in new York/east coast… but no. We’re in Madera!!! And she shined me on. I politely asked ‘perla’ if we could watch the Giants game. And she said it was against their policy to have the same game on all 3 tvs. No apology. .just it is what it is… so to many fans out therr… This is no bar and grill. This is typical Madera at its finest. No customer service whatsoever. I WILLNEVERPAY A PENNYTOTHISESTABLISHMENT. PATRONSBEWARE. GOSOMEWHEREELSE. YOUWILLREGRETTHISPLACEFORSURE. Thanks for reading!!!

Not a bad place, especially given the somewhat limited options in Madera. Food is better than average, the salsa/dip is fresh and has a slight kick. I ordered 3 tacos, shredded chicken, fish and shrimp. Tie btw the shrimp and chicken for the best tasting one out of the three. Service was solid even if the one and only waitress(in addition to a bartender and hostess) seemed a bit overwhelmed at times(even though there were only 5 tables). I’d give this place another shot for sure when I’m in town.

Cazadores is an excellent place to eat delicious Mexican food. They have a small bar area and several TVs with sports on. Outside seating makes it nice for larger groups or during nice weather. Everyone who works here is super friendly. I highly recommend the nachos. Perfect for sharing.

Great food, but the service doesn’t meet my expectations. Love Jasmine and Young Maria. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t recommend it, just pointing out that the service could be better. Their nachos are great and if you like shrimp they have some wonderful dishes to choose from. Shrimp Diablo is my favorite.

Great place to have some beers! Not a fan of Micheladas, but I’ve had them here and they’re pretty good ! The food is okay I’ve had the wing appetizer and they’re more like fried chicken with no wing sauce :(I expected something different. I’ve had the tacos grilled chicken, asada, & fish, they’re all pretty good ! Oh my favorite would have to be the chimichanga plate, served with rice & beans, delicious !!! Great place to watch a game, they used to host UFC fights but they stopped. The girls who work here are very friendly . Also, the place is available to rent for private parties :)

We stopped in here on the recommendation of a friend, and were delighted to have found a place this good!!! Although it’s in the very small town of Madera, it has amazing food, and a great trendy feel to it! The portions are large and full of taste, and the staff were very cheerful and on top of their game! I had the mixed fajitas(can’t remember the name of the dish), and all of the meats(beef, chicken, and shrimp) were cooked perfectly along with the peppers! They also have handmade wheat tortillas which are delicious! Gracias, Cazadores Bar and Grill… I shall return upon my next trip to Norcal!
