Received a ticket and vehicle was towed without warning. Daughter is excited for the lease to come to an end. Daughter has tried reasoning with them but to no avail.:-(. Oh well… Cheap is NOT always better.

The trashiest, most dishonest, meanest company you could rent from. I rented in Madison for over 15 years and this company was the worst by far. They don’t fix things. The exterior door was broken for 2 weeks so anyone could walk in the building. There are puddles in the basement around the washing machines.
They charged me for not rinsing out the air filter in the air conditioner and for not dusting the floor behind the refrigerator. Also for the window screen separating from its edge because it was cheap. They are SCUM.
I had neighbors in the building in an ongoing domestically abusive relationship. Even after they break a window and the cops were called several times, Colonial Management continued to rent to them.
Colonial Management owns Skyview/​Mayfair Apartments, Orin Road Apartments, and a few others.
BAD news.

I am writing this review after renting form them for a year. I have dealt with sketchy unprofessional landlords over the years of living in Madison. But I have been pleasantly surprised and pleased to rent from Colonial Property Management.
The staff has always been very nice, respectful and helpful.
They are professional and they have always been prompt in dealing with issues at our property. Also we were always notified days in advance if someone was going to enter.
I would recommend this company to someone looking to rent in Madison.
My only complaint against them was that they wanted to raise our rent after being in our apt. one year.
