OK, it’s a wing joint, nothing special I’m afraid to say. Upon walking in I just stood there waiting for someone to tell me where to sit… and waited… and waited… finally one of the waitresses pointed me to a spot. If you are not going to have a host/hostess it might be a good idea to have a sign that says, «sit yourself.» Just a thought. Although I am not a wing expert, I found the wings to be rather small in size but tasty none the less. When the food came out it was hot, tasty and nicely presented. The waitress was friendly but a bit slow… much like the seating encounter. Overall it appears that this is an established location as I always see it packed when I drive by. I would go back knowing now the seating policy and the expectations. Best to all.

I consider myself a chicken wing connoisseur. The wings are extremely good at crickets. I purchase wings at least 3 to 4 times. The only problem I have with Cricket is that the wait is long. The wait is even long once you call in so plan for the weight during your visit. It seems to be always crowded because it’s a popular spot but the chicken wings are very good.

I’m a big — huge! — fan of chicken wings. All my friends kept telling me that I had to try Cricket’s. We went there for lunch with a group of my work buds — they all acted like they were the best wings on the planet, to me they were just ok. I like my wings big — I don’t want to eat a chicken wing that was in its shell a week ago — I want a grown up wing. I didn’t have any good sized wings on my plate. The service was good — they took good care to make sure drinks were refilled — bill was divided to make paying easy. I was pretty much disappointed from all the rave I’d heard about Crickets.

After hearing the hype about«best wings» I had to come here and see what all it was about. The parking for one is not the best around lunchtime. I went around 1PM, the lunch crowd had just died down and when I walked in I was looking to see if you seat yourself or if you wait at a host stand in which I never did find. Finally someone who worked there asked me if I had a pickup order, once I said no and wanted a menu and wanted to order take out she handed me what looked like some sort of menu you would find on the Fallout games. I sat what they called a bar which did have a tv but all of the surroundings looked horrible. I say this as I worked in the restaurant industry and can notice small things that a lot of people would not. I ordered the hottest wings they had to offer and got them home within 5 minutes. The sauce was not hot. to me at least. The wings were fairly smaller than what I was hoping considering what I paid for them. I also ordered fries which honestly almost tasted better than the watery sauced wings I had.

Some of the best wings. The wings are a little small, but tasty. The mild are good. I haven’t tried other flavors yet.

The best wing«joint» in Madison Alabama! Lunch time is super crowded though… call in your order due to crowdiness and limited seating!

The only complaint I have is this place is so packed at lunch I can’t get in! The wings are great, the burgers are great!

I ordered the Hickory Bacon Jack Burger cooked to medium. It was a good size and cooked perfectly. The Poppers were not good. $ 4.59 for 4 pieces is rather high and they tasted like frozen ones from the grocery store. Onion rings were just ok. I ordered carry out so that could be part of the reason for the soggy rings. Food was ready quickly considering the place was packed. The wings were highly recommended by two people at the bar but I have never liked fried wings. I prefer them grilled, then cooked low and slow in the oven. If I make it back to town, I would go back. Might even get a small order of wings to try. I would like a few more options on sauces but certainly not a deal breaker.

Most of my coworkers are obsessed with the wings here. Not being a wing fan myself, I got the grilled chicken sandwich and holy moly… it was amazing! The fries were good as well, but that chicken was perfectly cooked. It gets super crowded during lunch hours(always a good sign), so be prepared to possibly vulture around for a table, but it is totally worth it.

Above-average wing joint. Only complaint is the wings are a little small, but everything else is excellent. Quality service and priced well. Regarding the guy complaining about the number of TV’s and the patio furniture, you should have done a little better research. I’m pretty sure they don’t market themselves as a sports bar. They are a wing and burger joint and do that well. There are places much more suitable for your need nearby.

Most of the locals I know love this place. I am a huge fan of hot wings and this is not the best wing place for me. They are small wings, the flavor is good, but they are not all that. The burgers are fantastic and a good size. The seatting is not the best, if you’re not there at, or just before 11:00AM «prepare to stand and glare at the seated people», HAHA

Visiting Madison, AL for a work training, so I turned to Unilocal to find a good hangout restaurant with a sports bar feel. A bit disappointed. There are a couple of small TVs and the outdoor seating is a couple of cheap patio sets in front of the main store entrance. The wings were cooked well, but skimpy on the meat and under sauced. Flavor was fine, but I was looking for a little more robust chicken than the chicklet wings we were served. Our server was polite, but we did seem to wait a bit long for our food(not her fault I’m sure). The burger had good flavor and was cooked well(as advertised), but a couple of times I bit into what seemed like small bone fragments, not just charred pieces of meat. The last straw came when I asked for a to go cup for my soda, and I was told there was a 75¢ charge for this. After my party spent $ 45 there, I thought I could take a Dr. Pepper with me, but I guess not. We are not planning to return there this week while we are in town.

One of the best local restaurants in Huntsville AL. Delicious hot small ck wings fried to crispy. Make sure you order them with extra wet(extra sauce). And good luck to get a seat if you show up after 1130 on weekdays. Definitely worth stopping by if around(off I-65)

Top quality wings and burgers. Be sure to get there right before 11 or wait until 12 because the seats get filled quickly. The wings are the main draw. The lunch special comes in regular or large(8 or 12 wings) along with fries and a drink. Wings can be ordered in about 5 or 6 flavors. You can’t really go wrong with any of the flavors. Food comes out quick and you pay at the counter up front which is nice when you only have a set amount of time for lunch and can’t wait around.

I wanted something different but they was out. How can they be out I mean really. The very professional and sweet waitress gave me great input on a burger, that was absolutely delicious. This is my first 5 star I don’t give them out easy but this place was great

Would be a good place for lunch if you didn’t have to wait 30 minutes to sit down every time. No idea why this place is as popular as it is. The long and short of it: 1. Waiting. There will be a long wait. There always is. Mars it hard to do for a working lunch. 2. Lunch Special. $ 10 will get you 12 wings, fries and a drink which is solid. 3. Wings. The wings are good, not great. They’re small but flavorful. The extra hot sauce is actually pretty spicy. It’s your regular wing and burger place that’s extremely popular for some reason. Nothing new here. Overall Grade: C

This place is a cheap good local place for wings. As a result it is always busy, and the service comes across as a little slow and chaotic. But let me tell you the wings are definitely worth it. Even with how busy the place is, the wings are cooked to perfection and taste great. We shared a 20 wing ½ lemon pepper ½ hot. You could taste the lemon and the pepper as individual flavors on the tongue. For my taste«hot» implied a hotter taste, but there are more than enough hotter options on the menu that I suspect I’ll select the right level next time.

Lunch time coaxed me to Crickets for a good(non fast food) burger and that’s exactly what I got. The Jumbo beefy awesomeness of crickets burgers is what the crowd should be about. For critics sake I tried the wings and I was not impressed. People rave about their wings but they were petrified in the fryer. I need a dentist stat!!! Get this dried out chicken from my choppers. I ordered the Jalepeno Jack burger and the server(owners wife) warned me «it’s hot do you really want it»? … I ordered it did t I! Yes it was hot and oh yes it was good, I asked for medium rare and that’s how it came out. Super terrific too bad I didn’t like the wings.

I’m from Miami, FL. Wing places are everywhere, so I was skeptical when my buddy Adam brought me here while visiting, but I must say I enjoyed the Jerk wings. Had a few beers, very nice spot, and amazing prices. Very cheap, something I’m not use to back home. A lot of football fans were in attendance. War eagle!
