Kelly Nails

It’s been a while since the last time I got my nails done there, but I’m so glad I came back. I’ll only get my nails done from now on. I got my Nails shellac at another nail salon and they did a horrible job. Came to Kelly’s nails so the could fix them and they did a great job!!!

The new owners are great! My pedicures last much longer than other places I have tried and the cost is less. They are now open on Sunday, which really helps with my crazy schedule. :)

Today I had the pleasure of visiting Kelly Nails. The woman who greeted me was friendly and they were able to get me in right away. Anthony did my nails and he did a fantastic job! He worked quick and his work was flawless. From what I could see everything looked clean and sanitary. I am looking forward to going in to try a pedicure!

I am originally from Milwaukee, WI and am very particular with my nails. I have been seeing the same nail technician in MIlwaukee for 6 years. However, being that I came into town to visit my family, I came across Kelly’s Nails and decided to give it a try. I had Anthony do my nails and I loved them, he read my mind as to how I wanted them done. Was a very understanding and caring person. I felt very comfortable with him because he took his time and wanted to get them right. I appreciated his humor and hospitality. I will definitely return when in town and recommend for anyone who is very «picky» to stop in and ask for Anthony, you will not be disappointed.

This is the best nail experience I’ve had! They are very personable and funny, which is a first in my nail salon experience. They did an amazing job and it didn’t take too long either. My nails for prom looked beautiful! I would recommend this place for everyone!

Kelly Nails did an amazing job on my nails. I got a pedicure from there a few days ago and they couldn’t be nicer. They took their time but didn’t take too long. The paint job is perfect and they even offered me a soda or water. I paid and left and when I got to my friend’s apartment I smudged my toe on my flip flop. I went back for them to fix it; they did and the guy refused to take my money! I asked twice and he insisted that I not worry about it but not to do any more «ninja kicks.» Lol I was visiting from central Illinois and next time I come back to Madison I will go out of my way to come here! Highly recommend!

Worst. Manicure. Experience. Ever. I went here today for a manicure and was at first very pleased, because the price was only $ 15. However, for what I endured, The owner should’ve paid me $ 15! There were only two employees, one woman and the male owner. I had the misfortune of having the owner do my nails. Okay, I admit I have short nails. While this situation is okay with me, it was apparently not okay with the owner. He spent the entire manicure session chastising me for having said short nails. He told me that by having short nails, I was putting myself at risk for «problems with [my] brain and heart.» He even went so far as to tell me he was a «nail doctor.» Then, he compared my nails to that of the customer next to me, a woman with long nails. He told me that my nails were ugly and hers were beautiful. I told him that this hurt my feelings. He told me, «Well, it’s true.» I told him, «I never asked for your opinion.» I then made it a point to tell him that because the price was so good, I had planned to come here every week now to get my manicures, but because of his rudeness I would never come back again. He just smiled and didn’t seem to mind. I found his demeanor appalling. I guess he is so well-​off that he can afford to alienate customers. However, I do not believe in supporting businesses with bad customer service. So, I would urge anyone considering a manicure to go somewhere else. This is particularly true if you have short nails and wish to avoid a lecture. Also, I would add that he reused many manicure instruments from previous sessions, including buffing sponges, which by law should not be reused. It was also unclear whether any of the instruments, including the cuticle scissors, had been properly sanitized. In addition, although I had requested clear nail polish when I walked in, he seemed to think that «buffing» the nails would give the same effect. When he was done, I said that I still wanted clear polish. He looked annoyed and applied a pink base coat. I said, «No, I want clear polish.» He tried to tell me it was the same thing and then admitted he was out of clear polish. Uh, he might have just SAID THAT when I walked in! Avoid this place if you value fungus-​free nails, a relaxing spa experience and wish to maintain your self-​esteem. You have been warned!

Took a star off for general ambiance. There’s not much. Been there with there dog there once and newborn and two year old. Who both cried the whole time. However I go back because they do an awesome job with my shellac and it lasts a few weeks.

This place is bad. Plus he bring his dog into the salon. I’m a huge dog person but your dog should not be in a nail salon!

In Madison for homecoming weekend and found this gem. It’s just outside the city, so you can actually Park your car. Honey was not only good company, but did an excellent job on my manicure and pedicure. Very relaxing, spacious setting. I’ll definitely go back next time I’m in town.

Large/​clean nail salon run by a friendly Vietnamese family. Love the shape that they file my nails to — not too squared off! Got my first shellac french manicure there last week and it was flawless, still is. Will be back!

I go here often… I think they have pretty good pricing, and they do a fantastic job.

Not bad. $ 40 mani/​pedi. I was the only person in the place and they left me sitting in the pedicure chair for quite awhile before getting to me.
