Been here a few times. First two times I sat at the bar. Bartenders are nice and know their craft! They make quite tasty specials and at reasonable price! $ 6– I’ll take it! The special drinks r also often made with a decent brand alcohol. Food is normally yummy but a bit under seasoned. Most items I have received have been fresh and good but needed a little seasoning. Wings r good as well! The service if not at the bar is a little slow and there is a very demanding scent when you walk in… Not a bad scent… But the aroma is demanding. Nice ambience. Kinda quiet.

Love this place. Have eaten almost everything on the menu. Started going when they first opened in Athens. Wonderful hamburgers, delicious appetizers, the staff is super nice, and the specials are always yummy.

Meh… Let me say first that we have had good food here. The AM Burger is wonderful. The Fish and Chips were nice and crispy and not very greasy at all. The servers are nice enough. The problem? Inattentiveness. We ordered coffee and hummus. It took a solid half hour for that to get to us. The waitress seldom came around. They were busy tending to a party of obviously preferred customers and took easily a solid 10 minutes between intervals to check on us. When we came back, she said that they ran out of pita and had to run to Publix to get some. Of course, it would’ve been nice to know that beforehand so we could’ve had different appetizers. Slow, inefficient, and inattentive. Definitely not worth the money or the time.

Live close by and been meaning to try. Got take out last night and other than being a little slow I have no complaints. The Cowboy burger was really good and a great change of pace from the average burger. My wife got the chicken fingers which were also good. They are not the frozen kind you often see. We will definitely be back.

Ok, almost selected two stars. but maybe it was an off night. Sunday is probably not the usual night to go to dinner in Madison, Al With friends… there were eight of us… the place was empty, Except for a few people back in the bar area. The décor is cheesy, too dark and mishmash… could be really cool. but they threw so much different styles in and did it on a shoe string obviously… get rid of the black and red accents at every turn and make it a little simpler and cleaner… the menu is all over the place. kind of faux gourmet. The pasta was Luke warm and had very little flavor, the ahi tuna was good… fresh. the southern chicken was also not hot. warm, and had a charred taste underneath. The trout was very strong, and over cooked and just not right… they were out of several items we requested… maybe this is a better burger/lunch joint… but for the price, I thought the service and good could have been better. I think they should refine their menu. don’t try so hard to be fancy… find a niche. maybe the shrimp and grits were the best of our 8 choices that night…

Had dinner here Saturday night and was quite pleasantly surprised. 3 of the 4 of us had the shrimp and grits and agreed that they were wonderful! The 4th in our party had the special, which was a surf & turf, ribeye & mussels. There was nothing left but discarded mussel shells. I would recommend you check out Picasso ’ s Grill for a delightful dining experience.

Ok, third visit knocked out. All I can say is this place is Meh. Tonight I chose their lemon chicken. Very uninspiring and should be called garlic chicken due to the overbearing flavor of fresh chopped garlic. The lemon flavoring was almost non-existent. I’ve tried their burgers in the past and those were better than the lemon chicken. My wife had their BLT — also better. My son had their fish and chips. Hard to screw it up and he thought it was fine. We noticed their menu is all over the place with selection. I’ve tried their fried green tomatoes that were drenched in their firecracker sauce a bit much. Their steak tips were decent but slathered in their blue cheese sauce better served on the side. Suffice it to say, I’ll think of other places to try for dinner versus going back to Picasso Grill for a meal that makes me think and feel like I’m taking a chance on whether or not the food will be worth recommending to a friend or neighbor; at this point it’s not.

Needed something close & quick(take-out) for the visiting little people. I tried a bite of the kid’s meal hamburger and chicken fingers in addition to devouring a fried green tomato appetizer. PHENOMENAL! Looking forward to a grown up entrée next!

Very disappointed in the service we received. We are a family of 3(2 adults and 1– 5 year old child). We requested to sit in the bar area(all three of us sat there two weeks prior to this visit). We were informed that children were not permitted in the bar area for dining. We did not want to sit at the bar, we wanted one of the empty booths. The restaurant was not busy and could have used our business. We will not be returning for future visits.

I wasn’t really sold on the place when we went, but we wanted to try something different. The black bean burger was one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s homemade and not some frozen Boca Patty like most restaurants. The steak fries were actually crispy! I’ve had so many soggy fries in my life I’d forgotten how good try could be. My husband got a shrimp sandwich which he described as good. He still said he’s getting the burger I got next time. It was that good.

So far everything I had to eat was great, need a couple more servers, good beer selection prices on beer are average to low, have beer special’s so ask, would tell ever one to try, nice on the inside but not stuffy, if it’s a date night eat on the restaurant side, what to get a quick meal it in bar side

Food is great although over priced given the kind of place it is. Drinks are also high paid $ 12 for a Picasso’s «Detox» which is basically St. Germain, Sprite, mint and cucumber still refreshing as advertised, but really expensive. All in all I hope it lasts because the food really is delicious, but definitely needs some tweeking.

Ordered the Cowboy Burger. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. My husband loves the seafood Alfredo. Staff is extremely friendly and service is great

Discovered this place when it was in Athens and the food was amazing! Hated to see it leave the area awhile back, and was excited to hear of its re-opening in Madison a few months ago. Been anxious to try it here, and finally did last night. To my dismay, it was a disappointing experience. I learned that they no longer have the chef from the Athens location. That’s unfortunate because from the menu selection to the way the food was prepared, there is no comparison to what we experienced in Athens. While, granted, the Madison location has a much better atmosphere and ambience, due to the somewhat higher than average cost for a nightly dinner outing, and the loss in appeal of the previous menu selection, I am not inclined to return.

Second trip. Sesame tuna was very good. Definitely going to order that one again. Fish tacos, great but needs a second tortilla. Lemon chicken was very good as well.

Went to Picasso’s for the first time this evening and will be back. Not overly crowded, so did not experience wait times like others have mentioned. Started with the bruschetta which came out quickly. Very good. For our entrees, my wife and I had the shrimp and tips pasta. Really, really good! Presentation was excellent, serving size was very large(my wife brought half of hers home) and the flavors with the blue cheese sauce was really great! My daughter had the AM Burger(burger with bacon and a fried egg) was really good. Not a cheap place, but not expensive for the quality and portion. We will definitely be back! Had a pretty good beer selection with many local favorites(Monkeynaut, etc.) along with tried and true brews. I think we’ve found a new place to go when we want a good meal and want to avoid the mainstream locales.

Several good vegetarian options that aren’t just afterthoughts, but a lot of fantastic options for carnivores, too. Entrees include steaks, many burgers, shrimp & grits, pasta, fish, and more. Entrees average $ 10 – 22. Average beer/wine selection. Very friendly service, but don’t be in a rush. The pulled pork egg rolls(an appetizer) are brilliant. Definitely try the fried«Oreo» dessert – enough for 2 – 3 people and SOGOOD.

I didn’t know of Picasso’s at its original location but apparently they’ve only been in Madison since the first week of May. The pulled pork egg rolls are… interesting. Giant, piping hot strips of pork with cabbage and the usual suspects. Flavorful, but not necessarily overly piggy as pulled pork can be. But I get the distinct feeling they might have been going for something else. My recommendation would be a pinch of five spice and fresh ginger. For the main event, I had the Sesame Tuna and I must say that I was delighted; two wedges of seated black and white sesame studded sashimi-grade tuna as bookends to a seaweed salad and lime rice. On the plate was a mix of wasabi and sriracha with ponzu on thr side. Not what I expected, but definitely appreciated. The shrimp and grits and the cowboy burger were also rapidly consumed at our table with thumbs up all around being the general consensus. I had a Mai Tai and… though they have a full service bar… im not so sure I’d readily as for a drink unless I’m just drinking socially. The Mai Tai might not have been virgin, but it didn’t have a lot of miles on it either. Maybe it was the ice, but I dobt it. Now service is… awkward. I can’t tell if it’s the«we’re new here» shakes amongst the waitstaff but everyone seems overly nervous, decidedly unorganized, and yet somehow genuinely friendly underneath. Kinda like a turducken of dysfunction… but I’m hoping it’s not terminal. All in all, it’s a good family dining spot, not necessarily a chill spot and definitely not a date spot. But I do hope they hang around… and relax a bit up front. 3.5 stars but no rounding up until I give this a second take.

Nice addition to the Madison line up! Open about 6 weeks and still having some growing pains, e.g. service times. The food however is on point! I had the Shrimp and Grits and it was to die for. Only thing that would have made it better would have been a piece of bread to suck up the«pot licker»! Drinks from the bar were nice as well. A bit on the pricy side but if they work out the hic ups they are on the right path. Best of luck. Enjoy.

Wanted to give it 3.5 stars. Ordered the jerk chicken quesadilla and rib eye melt. Service is a little slow but not overly long. We enjoyed both, just wished the jerk chicken came with a sauce. The pico and sour cream were good but I like my quesadilla a little more moist. Husband loved the sandwich and his side was soup. He felt like it needed a 2nd side to add a little more variety but was pleased overall. Not convinced about the place but definitely going back.
