Really neat shop with fair trade goodies. There were tons of reasonably priced, fair trade items like purses, jewelry, hats, gloves, and home goods to choose from. I found a cute hat that was a good price and made of the softest alpaca wool. And the location can’t be beat, right on state street about halfway between UW campus and the Capitol.

This shop is full of so many good things that create so much benefit for people around the world when you buy them. Really, really beautiful pieces. Stopped in with my daughter last Saturday randomly while strolling State St., and she instantly found a perfect wedding gift for a friend, a gorgeous set of carved bookends. They have clothing, foods and coffee as well as home décor, jewelry, and so many other things. I want to give and receive everything from here this Christmas. Lovely helpful service staff as well.

I found some interesting souvenirs here when my husband came here for an interview back earlier this year. I was so new to Madison and coming from a culture totally different from the US I was overwhelmed by the language and almost everything. I was welcomed like everyone else here, and the lady working here (not sure if she’s the owner) was so hospitable. Her help gives me a great note on my first trip to Madison.

SERRV has incredible, hand-​crafted, fairly-​traded items ranging from clothing to hand-​woven baskets to linens. Most recently I stopped in and checked out the gorgeous baskets which range in size and are all very unique.
It’s a super cool non-​profit org that supports communities around the world and works to eradicate poverty. Awesome place to shop and support a good cause while doin’ it.
