We worked with Micha and she was amazing! Had an eye exam to keep me up to date and ended up needed some light weight reading glasses. Micha worked with me to find the right sv glasses for the computer– Great customer service!

I had originally gone to Stanton Optical to get new glasses, and they said they would be ready within 14 business days. About 2 weeks later, they called to let me know that while they were putting one of the lenses in the frames, they had broken, and they couldn’t get another pair so they wanted me to come in to pick out a new pair. I went in, chose a new pair, and left. About 3 weeks later, I called inquiring about when my glasses would be ready for pick up. I was then told that they had no record of my order, and that I should come in and pick out 2 new frames, AGAIN! Needless to say, I was not pleased, and I asked for a full refund.

I took my 2 defect glasses(the one I was asked to pay«20% co pay under warranty» total of $ 50 when two new one cost $ 79…) to Sears Optic. They fix one of them for FREE! Why anyone will buy with Stanton!!!

I have had mixed experiences at Stanton Optical. I went in looking for a new pair of glasses and was excited about their buy one pair, get the other pair free deal. I was pretty impressed with their selection of glasses. While I thought some appeared cheap, there were also some that seemed of better quality. For my second pair I got sunglasses. I was not impressed with their sunglasses selection, but did manage to find a pair. The gentleman that helped me was very helpful and professional. He wasn’t pushy about whether or not I wanted the more expensive choices for lens, which I always appreciate. I was a little surprised at how fast things added up though. You think it won’t be much more than the most expensive pair of glasses you chose, but there are a lot of random charges on top of the frames and lenses. In the end though, I still managed to get two nice pairs of glasses for a fairly reasonable price. The business doesn’t always seem to have enough staff on hand. When I went in to pick up my glasses, there were a lot of customers and not enough workers. People were getting frustrated and it seemed like the staff were stressed. In the end, I waited at least half an hour just to pick up my glasses to then find out that they didn’t have my sunglasses ready yet, even though I’d received a phone call saying they were ready. The employee that helped me was very kind, but it was frustrating. I ended up having to come back when the other pair was ready. All in all, not a bad place, but they have things they can improve on. Different times of day, especially the weekends are very busy so expect to wait.

Ask for the store manager. He is much more knowledgable than the other employees, and he also has more access to insurance information. I really wish that I had just asked for him earlier because I waited around for over 45 minutes just so the employees could tell me that I was«no longer covered under my parents»…which the manager(with a quick search on his computer) found otherwise. The selection at Stanton is limited(especially if you are looking for name brand frames), but I was able to find a few that I really liked and fit my face well. I’d suggest going to LensCrafters if you have in-network insurance, because the selection is much more inclusive there. But if you have VSP like I do, Stanton is a great alternative as long as you don’t mind doing some hunting! I can’t wait to wear my new glasses. B)

My prescription had changed and I needed new glasses. I’ve always required a strong prescription, and I knew it would be a little more expensive than typical. If you have a strong glasses prescription, you may do better going elsewhere than Stanton optical. The 2 for $ 20 was not available for me, and although they cut the price to the warranty and coating they strongly encouraged me to get, the amount I paid was substantial. Stanton’s staff were not very knowledgeable about what frames would work with the lens I have, as I have had to go back three times to get the glasses I needed. Next time I get glasses, I’m going to do more homework.
