Taqueria Cinco

I don’t know what y’all are smoking, but this place sucks. The only thing that tasted good was their tortilla and their pico. The chicken was ground up like cat food. And tasted like it too. There is little to no cheese in the burrito. So I’m confident that this place is not authentic Mexican cooking, it’s a food truck that has below mediocre Mexican food. The food does come out pretty quickly, if you’re in a rush! I know I could make better Mexican at home. Go somewhere else!

One of my favorite food trucks in the area. I am in love with their chicken burritos! The workers are friendly and the food comes out fast if they aren’t busy. I really like how they have mango jarritos as well, its hard to find anywhere else!

Hard to find a authentic Mexican burrito but this trucks got it! The only drawback is that it is cash only but the staff will get your order started while you find an ATM. Overall a great food truck that I will be happy to go back to!

Love this truck! Nick is the best. The burrito and turkey chili are by far my favorites. Great service and great food. Get a $ 2 taco (probably get 2) for a quick and tasty snack.

This place is a bang for your buck; good portion for the price and the food is delicious. I’m surprised you can even get authentic Mexican food in Madison but there’s a bus for that!
plus the owner seems like a really good guy and is very friendly.

My wife found this spot while we were on our way to Mystic. Awesome for a quick bite. Small tacos for the price but very delicious. The chicken tacos were amazing. Worth the quick detour. Not far off I-​95. Enjoy!

Love the tongue tacos. It’s great to have and authentic Mexican food cart or rather bus.
You have to wait a minute, that’s OK for fresh food. This is similar to the taco trucks in New Haven in price and quality and a more pleasant service.

Solid taco truck. in a bus, nonetheless. Though the locals tried to drive this guy out, nick naming him the «ghetto bus», this hard working man pumps out some good food. Tacos are always my go to, his al pastor is delicious. I recently tried the pollo torta… also very good! The owner is extremely friendly, and usually remembers what you got the week before. Only thing I didn’t like is the carnitas. lacked seasoning and carnitas-​carmalizedness.

So happy they now have a truck at the Guilford green most weekdays. Tasty food, decent prices, friendly service. I’ve eaten with them twice so far. First time was a veggie burrito (in Madison) and the other day a chicken quesadilla (in Guilford). Both were good sized servings and the ingredients were fresh. I’ll be back! Tacos are next on my agenda.

Not my favorite taco but very very tasty and a great value at $ 2 a taco. I had the al pastor tacos, my hubby had lengua and carnitas. Lengua was the best outta the bunch. Yum!

The food at Taqueria Cinco is superb authentic fare, easily the best I have had outside of SoCal. It is well worth a stop in Madison when driving on I-​95!

Fresh ingredients and authentic flavor. My favorite is the Veggie Quesadilla. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner on the go.

Found this place while driving down the shoreline. The owner was very very nice. He brought our food out to the car so we didn’t have to wait in the cold. Food was amazing, fresh, and was well worth the $ 2 per taco. Yes $ 2!!! Crazy… Def coming back

Delicious. We randomly picked a place from Unilocal on our way home from shopping and we were not disappointed. Simple menu, fresh, hot food and friendly service. Beans and rice was delicious and so was the burrito. This taco truck on Madison green is worth a stop.

Such a great little find! This place is a green painted and Mexican decorated (classy not cheesy) school bus made into a food truck! The prices are adequate (burrito and quesadilla were $ 7 each for very good portion size). The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and I would happily go back for an afternoon lunch in town anytime we were back!
So happy we stopped, the veggie quesadilla came with green tomatillo sauce which appeared homemade and was absolutely delicious. The chicken burrito was pretty good as well, hard to mess up beans rice and chicken.
I’m partial to Mexican food and this place did not disappoint!

Pastor tacos with the pineapple are special. These are not to be missed. Beef tacos are good too. I also got the rice and beans which are good, nothing special but really hit the spot when you’re craving a good rice and beans fix. Chips and salsa disappointed because the chips are from a bag, not homemade. The only reason I would go to the other taco truck is to get some chips, salsa and guac. Otherwise this truck has the best tacos.
**Update, this taco truck wins because it comes to Guilford! Across the street from Pages Hardware! I am a regular now, thank goodness for tacos! Their flan is good too, not the best I’ve had but definitely hits the spot. Their flan is a bit more eggy than I prefer. I prefer more gelantinous/​creamy texture and a little more toasty on one side like at Valencia Taqueria in Norwalk. They have the best flan in CT.

By the way, my last several visits to this truck haven’t been as nice as my previous visits. I received some not-​so-​fresh meat and maybe it was because I arrived right before closing. I gotta remember to get here a little more earlier after work. Maybe the food will be fresher earlier in the day.

6 bucks for 3 vegetarian tacos: black beans, roasted green peppers, cucumber, salsa verde, tomatoes, cilantro, chili peppers, and fresh lime. Really fresh and absolutely hit the spot. The guys who run the truck are extremely kind and proud of their food. If your in Madison not to be missed. Sit on the town green and enjoy some authentic Mexican from an unexpected food truck
