My husband, son(5 yrs), and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch here today. My husband was impressed with the craft beer selection. My son loved the kids menu. I personally loved the Apricot walnut salad. The service was very attentive, especially for a Saturday during lunch time. My only wish? Could you have a few more ciders? Other than that, everything was great.

This is our new favorite breakfast place! Staff is so friendly, the food is delicious and fresh(you can just taste that it’s not frozen.) It’s a quaint little place that is never too busy but definitely always steady. We never have to wait for a table and we always leave satisfied!

Great food and great service. The beer onion soup and pretzel chicken were delicious. The Erie Blue beer was refreshing. We sat outside listening to classic rock. We loved it.

Nice place in Madison, Oh. We stopped while on a road trip and grabbed lunch right when they opened. The Philly Steak and Reuben were tasty.

Hubby and I have eaten here on multiple occasions and find the food quality to be consistently fresh and delicious – and we have ordered multiple items on the menu – all good! The owners must treat their employees well because the service is consistently happy, prompt, and courteous! We drive 40 miles to dine here every couple of months – worth the drive!!!

Beer was great with Seven and the new rye beer both top notch. Salads were just barely enough lettuce to call a salad, but ok. Beer battered cod was perfectly done but the cole slaw was just barely enough to be considered a garnish. Sausage and perogies were ok although green beens were perfectly cooked and outstanding. The waitress Lauren seemed mildly annoyed that we were there. When I expressed disappointment with the coleslaw she implied that the restaurant was generally a disappointment stating only«I know» instead of trying to make some accommodation. She never checked on us to see how our food was until we were done eating and when asked for water she brought it for me only, never asking my wife if she wanted any. Next time I go there I will ask for another waitress I certainly don’t want to inconvenience her again.

My wife and I come here at least two times a month. We enjoy the food and beer. The quality of service is usually really good. However, last night around 8:00pm we wanted to have a drink at the bar. When we arrived, we noticed that three of the bar stools were occupied by children under the age of about 8. Usually, bartenders will notify parents that if adults are waiting for those chairs children should not occupy those seats. Parents should know this, but these particular parents obviously did not. One of the bartenders should have said something, but they did not. We will go back again because we do really enjoy the place. We did not stay last night, but did walk to Mike’s Place for our beer. Happily, there were no kids sitting at their bar! Actually, one of the guys sitting at the bar gave up his seat so that I could sit by my wife!

Good food, good beers and nice people. Seems to be one of the few places in Madison that has continued to bring in business.

We really liked this place. The menu offered something for everyone. The waitress was great! She offered recommendations when we asked. And they didn’t disappoint. The portions were big and the food was fresh and delicious. I ordered the Rueben sandwich – the corned beef was made on site. My husband ordered the pretzel chicken. My kids ordered burgers but didn’t like them(they always like burgers). The waitress offered to make them something else and didn’t charge us for the kids burgers. It went above and beyond. Décor was cute. The beer was good and cold. And the bathrooms were clean. We’ll definitely stop in on our next trip through the area.

Consistently good service, tasty bar food and good craft style beer and homemade root beer. The Hubbs loved their Rueben, he said it was tender hot and delicious(all without soggy bread — a huge compliment from him). I got the crispy chicken salad — it was supposed to come with the chicken tossed in one of their wing sauces — which it didn’t but it was still mighty tasty and fresh! And one of the first restaurants to present a spring mix salad instead of cheap old iceberg — nicely done Cornerstone! We used to frequent the Berea location when we lived West now that we are out East we know we will be here a good bit!

Only giving two stars because the food is decent when you can actually get service. But the service has been so awful every single time I’ve ever been here. They never have enough servers and the kitchen is always backed up.

This little gem was recommended to us while on the road, shopping venues for our wedding. A local firefighter made the suggestion, and I’m so glad he did. The food and drinks were to die for.

Food was great but service was a little lacking. Our pretzel appetizer was delivered with the entrees. We ordered white pizza, an apricot walnut salad and a side of fries. All tasted delicious. Towards the end of our meal we watched people enter and stand by uncleared tables per the«please seat yourself» sign request. The servers then asked them to wait in the lobby until the tables were cleared. New groups filtered in and took the tables right as they were cleared resulting in groups leaving the restaurant. Great food if you’re willing to chance the service.

Exceptional! Great food. Great beer. Great service We both had burgers which were real HB meat and cooked just right. House made chips were really tasty. I’m a beer snob and must say I approve the beer here. Right amount of hops and full of flavor. Will be back for sure!

What a treat! Traveling back from Lima to East Aurora and decided to stop for lunch at a local place. Plenty of craft beer choices which were excellent and cold. The food was fresh and made to order. Well worth getting off the 90 and enjoying a relaxing atmosphere, good food and great beer!

Was in from Massachusetts last week to go to the Spire Institute… ended up here unexpectedly twice in one week. Craft beer selection was excellent. Food is above average for the area and the price point. Had a burger on one day and chicken Caesar on the other. Both were perfectly prepared and portions were good. Service was attentive and professional. I will be back next year and am looking forward to keeping this place on my agenda.

Cornerstone is the epitome of just an average restaurant. I have tried multiple things on the menu and nothing stands out. The best item they had was the blackened walleye sandwich and that is no longer a menu option. They have basic sandwiches/burgers as well as a few entrees that are lackluster at best. The beer is decent but many microbrews in the Cleveland area are doing the craft beer thing much better. The service has always been good and the restaurant itself has a good décor and is always clean. I wouldn’t say don’t give it a try but just be prepared for an experience that will not come close to blowing you away. I would definitely recommend it more for sitting at the bar and drinking a few beers then anything else.

Road trip from Columbus to Niagra Falls… got hungry round about Madison, OH. Cornerstone Brewery sounded like the spot to satisfy our tummy grumbles. And so it was… great craft beers — I had the Erie Blue: yummy. Their root beer was legit… omg, so good. Food choices featured pizza, sandwiches, burgers, soups and salad. My order was mixed up — got buffalo chicken instead of bbq. It was still great. Sicilian pizza was better; Reuben was fantastic. Cornerstone burger was mmm good. The building entrance was behind a cute gate nestled between the two buildings… one side reserved for a special event — the bar side is where we grabbed a table. Service was phenomenal. The tab was less than I anticipated… fantastic experience!

I found this place on a recent road trip thanks to Unilocal. Thanks Unilocal! We only stopped here for a mid-day brew and appetizer but I was quite happy with the result. First thing we noticed is that the building is really kind of cool. It is old and brick and is separated into two distinct sections, with the entryway between them. The décor is bittersweet as it depicts prohibition times. The one picture I remember seeing is barrels of beer or spirits being poured down the sewer. How sad! The beer I had, Love Potion, was just wow. Completely unique flavor, bursting with chocolate and roastiness and creamy mouthfeel. It was like a beer milkshake. My wife had one of their lagers and I was able to taste it as well. Very clean and crisp and how a lager should be. Good stuff. She got a small salad and remarked that it was very good. To me, it looked fresh and very green. I ordered some fried pickles and it was quite a massive portion. They were whole dills, battered and fried, not dill chips like some places. The pickles came with some kind of dipping sauce which was tasty and ran out too soon. Overall a good dish. I don’t know when or why, but I hope I get the chance to return to Cornerstone.
