Simply the best toy store in NJ! The nicest staff who will help you pick out toys in any price range and wrap them up for you. They remember their customers names and the names of children that come to the store. Also they make great videos– check out their Facebook page.

This place is adorable! They are filled floor to ceiling with toys and the workers are friendly without being bothersome.
What I really like is they have a lot of toys that require children to play using their imagination. They have a lot of creative projects and art projects for all ages. They also have adorable (and safer) wooden toys for babies and toddlers. They have some great toys for nostalgic gifts. My mom comes here whenever she is in town to buy reasonably priced creative gifts for the kids in our family. Very sweet store :)

I like Tons of Toys. I’ve had better experience at Madison location rather than the Chatham location. I like the owner… always very friendly, helpful and willing to wrap anything you buy. My only complaint is that they can be pricer on certain things. I try to shop local as much as possible, but if a toy is 19.99 at Toys R Us, and is 24.99 at Tons of Toys, I will buy it at Toys r Us. That markup is just too high for the price point on the toy. So, I usually double check. I am willing to pay a little more, but not $ 5 on a $ 20 toy. Anyway, I shop here as much as I can and hope they stick around until my kids outgrow them!

There are certain types of retail establishments I am very comfortable in. Chinese restaurants, comic book shops are among them. Another kind? Toy stores. Large, small, medium, having online shopping options has not dampened my enthusiasm for toy stores, even smaller ones like «Tons of Toys».
From the outside, «Tons» is welcoming with large stuffed animals in the front and toys in the window. Inside is shelf after shelf of toys packed in tight, creating a bit of a wonderland effect of colors and childhood joy. I saw everything from «no bake» donut makers, Rock’em Sock’em Robots, Star Wars toys, remote controlled vehicles, dolls and of course board games.
The staff was very friendly and offered help twice. I also noticed for a small shop, their prices were very fair. In some cases only a dollar or two above prices you’d see at Target or Toys R Us. I was quite impressed!
This is a great little shop to pick up some toys in Madison. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a small chain of family owned toy stores and a great alternative to the big box chain stores that we all know. If you are looking for personalized service when you are looking for that gift for the special kid in your life than check them out. The store is much larger than you would think and they have a very large selection of all the popular toys. They also offer free gift wrapping making this perfect for those like myself that are gift rapping incapable.
