We just moved here from Texas and was excited to try this quaint little place. My 90 year old grandmother was coming by for a visit and I wanted some baked goods to serve her. My son and I walked in and were pleasantly surprised! The shop is huge and has generous seating and just the right combo… tables with chairs, comfy sofas and other big comfy chairs. The lighting is what gives it a cozy feeling. My son got a coffee to go and I picked up 4 huge muffins… double chocolate, almond poppy and a cinnamon crunch. They were so delicious and so moist. My grandmother loved the cinnamon muffin. We also found out that every third Saturday they have an open mic night for musicians. My son is quite an accomplished guitar player is looking forward to going to their next music night. I love this little place and I don’t even drink coffee. I’m looking forward to trying their other baked goods and drinks. The owner certainly has a great little place! #shoplocal

Warm neighbor spot to have a nice cup of perfect coffee. Right in the middle of downtown, that is if Maiden has a downtown is Somethin’ Taste. Combination of a Coffee Shop and Bakery where everything is fresh. Friendly folks and the place has a warm organic feeling that is soothing to the body and spirit. If you have the time, worth taking a few minutes to relax and have a great cup of Joe.

Okay, walk into a room with eclectic, folky and kind of quirky(which I appreciate) décor and a PLETHORA of comfy, roomy seating. Two second later the owner, Jared(sp?), greets you with a warm hello! His drink were great and everything is organic. He is big into repurposing things, so naturally he and I got on that rant for a while. Great great guy with a sweetie pie son! Support local and support this guy. In the quaint town of Maiden he really brings a lot to the table for the community. Highly recommend.(: God bless.
