12 Degrees Italian Ice

Incredibly delicious stuff! Consistency is somewhere between frozen yogurt and a slushy– more icy than most gelato I’ve had, but that’s probably because most of the flavors are dairy free (unless it specifies there is cream).
Every flavor I tried was amazing (peanut butter– very rich, but very good in moderation, cookies and cream– GREAT, root beer, cotton candy, strawberry kiwi, cherry, chocolate chocolate chip). I would recommend getting two flavors in the small gelati size, and that is probably big enough to share or to save some for later.
Wish they were open year round!

YES YES YES MY FRIENDS IT IS OPEN AGAIN FOR THE YEAR. Located in the middle of no… scratch that. Located next to an unassuming gas station, across 2 bridges, a lake, a couple ducks, and 1 or 5 neighborhoods great for garage sailing… uhhh sale-​ing… something like that, 4 miles from the middle of nowhere (I did the maths) we have one of the best frozen desserts ever. It’s light, sweet and full of flavor and one of the smoothest things my tongue has had the pleasure to come in contact with. Also a serving is $ 2 and some change, ridiculous. Another level of decadence, layer or blend with soft-​serve.

I love, love this place. Of course I’m craving it in the dead of winter.
Sometimes in the summer, you aren’t in the mood for heavier ice cream… I know, perish the thought. I love ice cream, but at times I just want something more refreshing. That is when I discovered Italian ice at 12 Degrees. I tend to stick with the non-​cream flavors… blackberry, grape, tutti fruit, cherry berry, etc. Such a wonderful treat on a hot day, but really it’s an anytime treat.
They also have soft serve ice cream, either to eat on its own or to add to the ice. I have always stuck with just the ice.
Generous servings and reasonably priced. This place can get pretty hopping on nice spring, summer & fall days. And for those of age, we brought a handful of the large sizes to Jimmy Buffett tailgate… it’s AMAZING as a mixer. We bought it a couple days before the event and put them in the freezer where they froze solid. However, just a bit of time in the heat and it melted back to «normal» and with your chosen mix-​in, it was like an adult slushy.
Counting the days until they open for the season…
