I went there only becuase i had coupons, buy one get one and a free pizza. I can say that i just wasn’t impressed with their food at all. I wouldn’t go back there by choice.

Well, I’m on a roll this week. We decided to check this NYPD out because we were in a rush and I needed to get a bite to eat before we headed up to Lake Mary. I ordered a stromboli and it was terrible; burned on the outside and not completely cooked on the inside. Let me tell you, there’s nothing worse than finding yourself in a restaurant with raw dough in your mouth wondering what to do with it. Joe got two slices of pizza which he did not finish either — and he loves his pizza. It took our server over twenty minutes just to figure out there was an issue with my meal. Her response — what else can I get you? Me — are you kidding? We asked that she comp the meal and give us our check asap, please. Well, it took her another twenty minutes to get that done and there wasn’t even an apology from the manager on duty. Sorry guys but I am looking forward to seeing what new restaurant replaces you.

This is not an evil chain. That’s a good thing. I love how the flaky crust is, sort of, layered. It’s different from other crusts I’ve ever had. Very delicious. Just wish the toppings, especially cheese, tasted a bit fresher. And service was OK, nothing stellar. Not a bad deal when you’re utilizing a coupon or special.

This used to be a top of the line pizzeria. Now, not so much. The quality of the food has taken a turn for the worse. Service has began to suck– seriously. So I called in an order from the house, they told me that a simple pepperoni pizza would be ready in 15 minutes. Well I live about 15 minutes away– then when I arrived they still haven’t made the damn pizza. Come on people. Get with the damn program. You would think, with the owner running around introducing himself as a «big time» producer, that he would want to produce a good business– not so much. I may give them one more chance(but not like my one problem will break their bank).

This place boasts some great NY Style pizza, and they don’t disappoint. Having tried both their pepperoni and Mariano(olive oil, tomato, garlic, basil, and mozzarella) pizzas, I’ve definitely become a fan of NYPD. The garlic rolls here are light and flavorful, and thankfully not soaked in garlic and butter like other pizzerias. The space is large and open and can accommodate families and groups. This would seem like an ideal place to bring a little league team after a game or to hang out with a few friends after a long bike ride. There’s also beer on tap, with a few not-so-usual choices to offer. The staff is friendly and skilled. NYPD is a bit pricier than other places, but worth it if you like to splurge on a higher quality pie every once in a while.

The reviews for NYPD Pizza are pretty mixed. Some love it, others don’t. Whether this place serves«authentic NYC style pizza» or not is besides the point… the pie I had(BLT Pizza) was good so I’ll be back. And yes the Garlic knots are fluffy and delicious: D

I visited this NYPD Pizzeria location twice over the weekend, as errands had me repeatedly returning to Maitland. As chain pizzerias go, I am a fan of the NYPD concept and recipe, and I have consistently found that their pizzas are a cut above the other chains that dot the landscape. The Maitland location is consistent with my expectation. On Saturday, I ordered a slice of pizza, as did my companion. We arrived at about 4 pm and the pizza on display was clearly cold. I was impressed, however, when the counter attendant took two slices from a newer pie and put them in the pizza over to heat up. Both slices emerged in an almost molten state and tasted far fresher than most pizza slices I have had outside of Brooklyn.(While I usually do not have a lot of praise for NYC, my fondest memories of slices often take me back to a week spent in Brooklyn in 1988!) On Sunday, we returned with a party of four and ordered a full pizza. It was excellent, with a balanced flavor and wonderfully crisp — but not burned — crust. When I ordered the pie with«light cheese», the counter attendant was a bit surprised but she got the order right. Our pizza was dusted with enough cheese to give it flavor but not so much that we faced excess calories or oil. The servers were very friendly and the restaurant is immaculate. While NYPD may not offer the best traditional pizza that I have ever had, it does offer the best traditional pizza that I have had in Orlando. I highly recommend it!

Best Pizza Ive ever had. Period. The slices are great, lots of selection. As well everything else is delicious. They have good specials… just grab the take out menu and flip it over. 99 cent slices that rotate on a weekly basis. Atmosphere is good. Only downfall is some of the staff. They should step it up a tiny bit and be more vigiours with training. My office was going here like it was going out of style. We of course overdid it but for good reason. I still like it here and my favorite seems to be the buffalo chicken pizza… dont know why but that one is good to me. But everything else is fresh and good size slices. 2 Slices are very good and if you want to go cheap walk in pickup 2 slices of the day for 1.98 and enjoy! Garlic knots are also awesome!

Not once, but twice, the worst pizza I’ve ever put in my mouth. The first time we chalked it up to them just opening however, running a pizza place isn’t new and other business models are out there to at least use as an example. How this place could repeatedly disappoint is astounding. We, as an office of 5, have ordered there twice and each time: 1) The order has been wrong. 2) The pizza’s have been soggy and oddly tasteless. 3) Instead of finding out where they had dropped the ball(so as to rectify future issues) their response was to throw a desert(lackluster) at it. At the least try to learn from your mistakes! We are a local company and would have liked to have had another option for pizza besides Domino’s. Not saying anything bad about Domino’s — That is one company that has listened and learned. There quality and taste have definitely improved.

This place is the best. The pizza slices are huge… way bigger than all of the other NY style pizzerias in town. The crust is thin and not too crispy or too soft. The wait staff is incredible. Our waitress asked us what tv station we wanted her to put their 3 nearby tvs on. The manager stopped to talk to us and was a really nice guy. I don’t quite know if you would consider this a chain… there are 5 in FL and only 1 – 2 in a few other states.

Didn’t realize this place was a chain upon first visit. The first time I went it was about 4PM so as expected, the pizza was not as fresh as it could have been(still decent enough, though). My second visit a couple of weeks later was closer to dinner hour and wouldn’t ya know it, the pizza came out hotter, fresher and better. The slices here are a bit smaller than most of the other New York-style joints in town, so order two if you’re really hungry. They have 99 cent slices that rotate on a weekly basis, and plenty of solid beer options. Lots of TVs and the dining area is very clean. The service is above average. Not the best, not the worst.
