If you are looking to have a quick lunch DON’T BOTHERCOMINGHERE. Food was okay but they ran out of steak… how does a cheese steak place run out of steak? They also took nearly 40 minutes to make 4 chicken philly sandwiches with fries. The sandwiches were okay, the bread was the best part but it definitely was NOT worth the wait. When we asked an employee what was taking so long she said that they had a large call in order. I guess the people that actually come into eat are less of a priority. Needless to say I won t be wasting my time on this place again, which is a shame since I didn’t even get to try their cheese steak.

This is my 3rd trip to Silly Philly and I am just as perplexed with my decision on this occasion as I was with the other two. I would certainly not suggest this establishment for anyone looking for a quick meal on a lunch break. Not only is the ordering process unconventional but it is completely unnecessary. When you have a cashier waiting to take your order why is she insistent on me writing it down for her on a pre transcribed piece of paper? After the painstaking ordering process is completed you are able to take a seat wherever you like but I wouldn’t suggest trying to have too many people in your party. The meals trickle out one by one in something like five minute intervals when they finally do come out. Inevitably someone in your party will be finished with their meal when the last person’s meal finally arrives. And all of this may be worth it if it weren’t for the mediocrity of the actual food items. Their«Meaty Wings» are no more meaty than any others but somehow demand a hefty $ 1.25 per wing price tag. Their cheese steaks we’re decent but nothing to write home about. Perhaps the best thing on any plate I’ve had from them is their fries. So a synopsis for this dissertation would be… manage your expectations, have a small group, and a lot of time to spare.

Not going to bury this place as I have only eaten there once. I will say, with all the options nearby, I likely will not be back! Although the cheesesteak was OK, it was certainly more bread than meat, easily 4:1. The cheese was jot melty, but more like a melted inexpensive cheese that reverts to a rubbery state upon cooling. Staff was friendly, service was pretty fast, bit soggy fries? Fries are to be anything BUT soggy! I might have even enjoyed the atmosphere, but the World Cup was BLARING in spanish. Good luck, I hope they try a bit harder, as I wish any local business success!

The cheesesteaks are ok. They use Amaroso’s rolls which is a positive. The only cheese options are provolone or cheez wiz, no American or other choices. The fries are also ok, not bad, but not great. The menu is fairly limited right now — steak, chicken steak or wings. That’s it. You can add onions, peppers or mushrooms, but there are no options for pizza steak, no sausage, no cold subs, etc. For what it is, the place is ridiculously overpriced. I paid over $ 11 for a cheesesteak, fries and a drink. Compare that with similar shops in the Orlando area where you can get the same quantity for about $ 7.50. The other shops also are far better quality at that lower price. The owners of Silly Philly need to visit Brianto’s in Avalon Park for a weekday lunch special and then rethink their strategy. Otherwise I think this place won’t last more than a few months at best. Silly Philly has a lot of potential, I just hope they improve before it’s too late.
