We love Maui Hands. A visit to Maui is not complete without a trip to one of their galleries. Each one is a little different, but all are wonderful; you really owe it to yourself to visit all of them. Their Makawao store is our personal favorite — we’ve bought many gifts for family and friends (and ourselves — let’s be honest!) from Maui Hands, and when we were eventually fortunate enough to be able to achieve the dream of buying a little vacation condo on Maui, all the art we put into it came from Maui Hands.

I like coming in to browse and find lots of little goodies. Yes, there are other Maui Hands stores around the island but I like the small-store feel of this.

Great store and friendly manager. We found two pieces of hand crafted (made from recycled products in fact) that were great and reasonably priced. Definitely stop by if you are passing through town.

I love walking into art galleries with my daughter, who is 6, and we look at art and jewelry and talk about it.
We went in this afternoon, and apparently a mom with a little girl in her school uniform aren’t good enough for this place because not one employee even acknowledged us or said hello.
The art and jewelry inside were really beautiful, but I wouldn’t buy anything here specifically for the snobbishness of the staff.
4÷18÷13 — EDITED TO ADD — I was contacted with apologies, and that made me feel very happy that this problem will be taken care of. Art is so precious — a perfect «date» for a mom and her little girl to check out.

This is one of those few MUST VISIT galleries on the Island. Broadest selection of Maui-made art and hand-crafted jewelry on the Island. If you had to go to one place for high quality arts & jewelry during your stay, this is the place — especially the Makawao location (as Makawao is the arts capital of Maui)
