Despite the friendly staff, and the convenience for us upcountry folk, this location is consistently out of soy milk! What makes the situation even more frustrating to me, is that they are adjacent to Foodland, where one would suppose they could go buy a carton when in need, but their corporate policy doesn’t allow! To the owner/management (or whoever is in charge of inventory/ordering) of this location… Please, for the love of God, stock more soy milk! (And no, coconut milk for me is not an acceptable alternative)
* I changed my rating from a two star to a three star because of the excellent professional customer service from these folks who know us regulars by name. (I was in a very grumpy mood this morning when I wrote this review after being told they were once again out of soy milk — sorry)

This location is under new management and it shows. Major improvement in both quality and service. You can always tell when a store is run by someone who has a passion for it. Way to go!

Always the BEST service! Most of the time they’re really busy and the area is really small and cramped but the service… I give them an A!

The only complaint I have is the sitting area.
There’s only 2 round tables in the center and 3 tiny tables next to the window.
It’s not a very welcoming feeling when you’re actually in there like most Starbucks.
I know it’s a smaller Starbucks but ever since the did renovations, it’s actually worst the sitting area got smaller.
I live upcountry and I prefer going to Casanova Deli it’s cozy and lots of different areas to sit.

Unfortunately, the service here is poor, baristas aren’t friendly. Very very slow and they weren’t even busy. 2 stars for convenient location (connected to Foodland)

Usually one of my favorite locations to grab my coffee — today was out of the ordinary, but may drive me to getting my regular coffee closer to work.
Cashier (name tag smudged) (0stars) was unnecessarily rude. Gave my order (two simple menu drinks) — she puts in one, doesn’t enter the other or acknowledge it, then asks if I want anything else.
Glad the barista was her saving grace (4 stars) — drinks were out quick and perfectly done.
If management reads this — it was about 150pm on Sunday, February 09 — quick recap on customer service quality assurance needed for her. A regular customer with one drink minimum per day ($ 6-&7) each, seven days a week… adds up for a single location.
Might not feel it in the pocketbook on your end as a loss — but another location will gain it in sales as well as the gift cards, guests I bring in and word of mouth traffic referrals.

I don’t live on Maui, but I stay in Pukalani often at my aunt’s home. My boyfriend is a coffee fanatic, so thankfully this SB is only a hop, skip, and a jump from the house.
The service is always nice and probably the first place that consistently gets my shaken ice green tea lemondae the way I like it! I always tell every SB location, «¾ tea, ¼ lemonade, slightly sweet.»
My boyfriend keeps it simple. «Iced Americano.» No sugar, no milk, no fun. All about the caffeine!!!

The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of five is because there is one lady that works here that is not friendly, doesn’t write my drink order correctly on the cups (but she definitely charges $$ me right, if not more) and makes my experience uncomfortable.
The men who work here: Great!
The rest of the girls: Great!
Everyone except that one girl always makes friendly conversations, smile genuinely (not smirk like the one employee) and most of the time remember my drink so I rarely ever have to even say my order. Most of the time they even greet me when I get in line before I’m even up to order.
I am a very frequent customer and love going here, but dread it when that one rude employee has to take my order or make my drink.
Thank you to the staff that IS kind :) You all rock.
UPDATE: The girl is nice now!!!

Okay, okay. I never thought I’d be writing a review for Starbucks, but you know what? They serve a wonderful espresso with a smile. I’m always treated well, and I enjoy the Aloha they serve. Yes, they are a chain and I try not support chains. OH WELL! When I’m in Pukalani I’m happy to give them my business if I’m craving a taste beverage. The Starbucks at the Queen Kahumanu Mall isn’t half bad either.
Also, they have free wifi and i can download a free song each week to my iTunes account while I’m sipping my caffeine delight.

BY FAR the best Starbucks on island. I come here often since I live nearby. My drink is always delicious, their pastry case is always stocked, and the baristas are awesome and friendly. I can make small talk with them and not feel awkward at all. The only drawback is that they get busy and I usually have to wait in a line three deep to get my drink… but hey, more power to them. I’ll put up with it. I’m so happy that this is my local Starbucks. c:
