I’d have to say that my best impression of this tavern had to be our bartender, and the plethora of televisions collectively broadcasting the NFL. We were greeted and served quickly by a pleasant female bartender who kept my glass filled at all times; just the way I like. And every single tv was blasting the NFL playoffs; just the way I like. It felt like there was 100 big screen tv’s. Wherever you look, you’re watching the game. I just was not a fan of the food. The nachos appetizer was not layered properly, so we had a blob of cheese on top and dry nachos on the rest of the plate, wings that were burnt to a crisp, and a burger fully devoid of any sort of salt or seasoning. Overall, I’d come for the beer and football and leave it at that.

Tried this place once again just incase they had an off day the first time I had gone. However, no change. The only thing I enjoyed this time was the cornbread that was served at the table while waiting for my order. this time, I got nachos and potato skins. The potato skins were way too thick. It was literally a whole large potato cut in Half. There was a whole lot of potato and hardly any cheese or bacon. After seeing a picture of the nachos on here prior to my visit, I thought they looked okay. I thought they lacked cheese so I was sure to ask for extra cheese when I ordered mine. There was plenty of cheese but stale chips. The jalapeños were soaking wet as if they hadn’t been strained and the only thing that I can say was fresh on this plate were the scallions. I had to the potato skins taken back and removed off of the bill. They were just that awful. Needless to say, I will not try to eat here again.

This was 3rd time here not much to be excited about. 50 cent wing nite was frozen wings with franks hot sauce. Got craft beer served in brandy glass… We had 2 appetizers and 2 beers each $ 60.00. Too much n money for quality and quantity. Probably will not come back.

Typical bar fare, good portions, and decent selection of brews. Good for a chill night. Used to go for 25 cent wing night Sundays but I think they are 50 cents now. Still not bad a deal if you’re looking for a bite and some beers. Pretty spacious and plenty of parking.

Place is your run of the mill type bar, foods nothing special and just about all of it was frozen minutes before you ordered it, atmosphere is decent and they do trivia witch is a decent crowd, if they step up the food quality it wouldn’t be a bad spot.

Ehh, never overly impressed. I would stick with this place for drinks and appetizers. They do have an outdoor seating option which is always nice in the warmer months.

Best Mac n cheese, great apps and overall awesome food. Bartenders and servers are very efficient and the atmosphere is relaxed and not rushed. Great place to come to any day of the week, especially on a game day!

We really lucked out when we spotted this place after a long day of unpacking and cleaning! It has a nice«bar» atmosphere… very comfortable and spacious. Our waitress was just wonderful(why didn’t I get her name??)! The food selection was typical«bar» but it was good and very reasonably priced. The wings were very good as was the crab cake. This is one of those places where I could imagine returning to!

50cent wing nights Sunday’s!!! I love this place nothing bad to say about Brewer’s. its a local spot with spot on food! Ive had the shrimp and crab cake salad, wings(most flavors), and their sweet potato fries which are delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed. You could go for a nice date night or a big family dinner! Ive done both :). I recommend this place for any occasion.

Very very good food … The prices were low and the portions were a good size. the waitress was extremely nice and very helpful and the food came out very fast. We came on a Sunday so it wasn’t very busy but it was perfect and quite and we were celebrating so that’s exactly what we needed and was looking for. my wife and I look forward to coming back here in the future on a busier night for drinks.

Good stuff! Yummy burgers! One point deduction– broth served with mussel app was soooo salty made them inedible. Otherwise great place!

So me and my fiancé decided to come and check out this place through a add on Facebook. Upon arrival the staff and servers were really friendly. First we started off with a cucumber Martini which I must say was properly made and they were not stingy with alcohol. The fish Tacos and the jambalaya rice were very good ass well. My fiancé ordered the lobster rolls which came with 2 and a side off fries and Cole slaw. I must say hers were better than mines. Our server was very nice and actually offered me a side cup with ice just incase I wanted my martini on the rocks which I actually ended up doing. So sorry I forgot her name but next time we will be asking for her again. At the end of the day we were both full and satisfied with our meals and definitely look forward to coming back another day.

This is a great lunch spot. $ 5 burgers mon-fri 11:30−2! They also have a decent selection of beers including local brews. The bar area is perfect for lunch but getting dinner here is good too. The best part of dinner is definitely the corn bread. I only wished they served it in the bar.

The nacho craving hit so I stopped by. The nachos were a good size, tasted pretty average, and the service was very fast. Half priced apps on Tuesdays was a bonus. The bar staff was friendly. I think I’ll go back and try a few more things on the menu to get a better feel. It had a good atmosphere and lots of parking.

JBT is my neighborhood go-to. Nice variety of cold beer on tap and the food is very good(some items are a little expensive for pub food, but they do offer a lot of weekday deals at the bar). The bartenders and servers have always been pleasant and attentive too! Gets packed during sporting events /most nights from what I have seen, but usually you can still find space in the bar area. I never have made it to the actual dining room… In the summer, sit outside– even though the view is nothing to write home about, they have a big/clean patio area with a lot of tables and another bar complete with a TV.

My grandparents have always talked about this place! They have sworn that it’s the«bees knees,» clearly I wasn’t sure what to make of that but I ended up going for dinner with a friend and loved it! I got a salad and a Veggie burger. Everything was made to perfection and the waitress what great! I would and will recommend this place to other people!!!

KNocking a few stars off the olé rating. Went on Monday night because we were in the area(literally in the parking lot) with friends. I figured it would be super packed because USA was playing in the world cup, but we were able to be seated immediately. Husband was excited to see 25 cent wings and I was excited to see it was Kids eat free night — Which stated Mondays after 5pm, when an adult orders from Tavern specialties or Dinner salad selections, 2 kids eat free* then the dreaded asterisk Kids 12 and under, not valid with take out or any other coupons, promotions or discounts. Here is where I get unhappy folks… as others have mentioned they have this 25 cent wing deal with a list of rules… but I don’t understand the logic. I ordered a dinner salad. My husband ordered wings. i ordered my kid a kids meal. YES, it says not valid with other promotions, but, had I gone in by myself /asked for maybe separate checks and ordered my salad and a kids meal(EVEN2 kids meals) I would have paid about $ 15 for my salad. Instead we paid over $ 40 because my husband had drinks(and we paid $ 5 for wings and $ 5 for a kids meal.)Its only $ 5 but how does that even make sense? Needless to say… I won’t bother going back. On a more food related note: the wings weren’t good and my salad wasn’t either.

We’ve been here probably 20 or so times over the past 8 months. Solid food choices, good portions, large beer list, and super staff. We’ve had the occasional complaint and it was also resolved immediately, sometimes comped(the real truth is my boyfriend is from Ukraine, and his English is sometimes spotty, so as they say, gets lost in the translation). In the summer(please, spare us any more winter!!) they have an outside patio. We’ll go for a late lunch, and drink beer. Granted, the scenery of Highland Ave and Wendy’s isn’t that inspired, but beats the crap out of the view from my apartment. It’ a tavern, so don’t expect anything more than rock-solid American food, served by people who, from their demeanor and friendliness, get more than minimum wage. Either that, or the manager threatens them with torture at the start of each shift.
