You can believe the bad reviews. The office staff is pretty awful. The woman in charge is a mess. She gets easily flustered then rude. She’s rude to patients, staff, and insurance companies. Everything is «urgent» or an «emergency» when they need to get money from you but they’ll cancel appointments and keep you in the waiting room for an hour and a half. I wish I had read reviews before making an appointment. Don’t get involved.

I been here for cleanings and 4 fillings and had a great experience, I had to pay for them before they were covered under my ins plan and they gave me a good deal, I was happy. A little sensitivity in my 1^st filling but last few were a breeze they did me fast and I am very happy so far 1 full month later.

This is the worst dentist in the world, well at least in the Boston area, DO NOT GO. All they care about is the money, me and my peer are both mass health clients and live in a Dcf funded program, they know this and they take full advantage of it. I got a second opinion and they did a root canal for no reason and then filled down my teeth so much so they could but a «extremely necessary» cap on it. When ever I call them they are always like WE NEED YOU TO COME IN, this is so urgent, do you want to lose all your teeth. Can you not? Tell the truth I used to have a very nice and relaxed dentist and I never had problems with him, these people just want your money and schedule way to many back to back appointments so they can get the most out of you! PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACe. Don want what happened to me and my friend to happen to you.
Ps they have also made me wait in the waiting room for 2 hours with an appointment

I’ve been a patient at Malden Dental for almost a year now and have had a total of 4 visits. I felt like it was more transactional from the beginning and like they cared more about getting their payment than they cared about my dental health. Although the customer service was never great, and although I got the vibe that they don’t deal with the most respectful clientele so perhaps I didn’t belong, I never had a major issue with Malden Dental — I continued going after all.
Well my most recent visit is the reason I am writing this review. I had a procedure done on Tuesday — my wisdom teeth were extracted. The extraction went fine, except for the fact that we had to stop 2 times on my left side and 4 times on my right side to give me more Novocain because I could feel the pain, which I don’t think is their fault. However, I wasn’t given any sort of take home paperwork explaining what to expect or how to properly care for my teeth, which bothered me. And although I was prescribed pain medication, I was not prescribed an antibiotic which I have learned is something that is standard with this sort of procedure.
Well it is now 3 days later and I have a fever and am still in significant pain. I googled what a fever means and any fever after day 1 could mean I have an infection. I also looked inside my mouth and the site definitely looks infected. I called the office and they are closed, but on their voice mail there is a number to call in case of dental emergencies. I have called this number 3 times and have had no answer or no call back. I left messages explaining my circumstance, that I have a high fever after having surgery 3 days ago and I am positive I have an infection, and it has now been 1.5 hours since I called and I still haven’t gotten a call back. What is the point of an emergency number if no one is available? I am actually having a dental emergency and they couldn’t care less. I am extremely unhappy and I will not be returning to this dentist.

Dr. Ekaterina is wonderful. Unfortunately, the front desk staff is totally fraudulent. They billed me for a «co-​pay» of $ 63. I verified with my insurance that they had paid my bill in full and I did not have, nor did I ever have, any type of co-​pay. This is yet another case of medical providers billing for services not rendered! I will be filing a fraud claim with my insurance, so rest assured this scam will be thoroughly investigated. Hold onto your wallet and go elsewhere for dental services.

The worst place you can be to take care of your teeths: poor customer service, everyone talks spanish-​English, English… you are in the US, the dentist lies to much: do you have money? Because after 1 month or 2 you are going to loose all your teeth, accepting masshealth does not mean ripping off poor customers. But wait you guys are not going to last longer for the poor treatment the gvmt will know about this after checking the bills.

I didn’t make it in the front door, because of the poor customer service I received over the phone. I’ll admit I have a fear of the dentist, but why would I entrust my teeth to someone who, before sticking a finger in my mouth, is already behaving rudely? No thanks, I’ll take my business elsewhere.

My experience at the Malden Dental Center was exceptional. I live in New York and was visiting my brother in the Malden area. I walked in as a new patient in an emergency case. I was greeted and given the earliest available appointment by Vanessa, the girl at the reception.
Dr. George ably assisted by Priscilla took my x-​ray and gave me a clear and concise assessment of my teeth which were in pain. I had to get 2 root canals done. I wasn’t too happy to hear that but it was a genuine assessment and I was paying the price of grinding my teeth over the years. Vanessa gave me a quote after looking at the insurance deductibles and was very professional about whether or not I wanted to schedule an appointment for the treatment. I had time to think over it and on walking back they accommodated me on the same day in Dr. George’s schedule for getting my root canals as I had to travel back to NY shortly.
Overall, my experience was pleasant and I recommend going to the Malden dental center if you are looking for a clean hospitable environment and qualified dentists.

I am visiting from the San Francisco Bay Area for a few days and had to rush to this dental center in Malden for an emergency care. I could not find a more friendlier and helpful staff. Dr. Ekaterina who saw me was very professional, helpful and took care of me immediately. I even asked her after the treatment was done if she would come and be my dentist in California, but she politely declined saying that this is her home town and that she’s here to serve the residents of Malden. I respect that.
I think people in this area are in good hands with Dr. Ekaterina and her staff.
