First time I went to this place they gave me chicken fingers that were soggy & rice was cold and it seemed like it was food that was old at the end of night I called and complained & they said next time I order they would give me a new order free… My attempt at a 2nd chance for them didn’t go so well they told me they didn’t serve my area anymore mind u I’m 3 streets away from location in Malden lol because I complained they gave me cold chicken and rice at end of night! Manager was very rude an hung up on me when I called next day to question him why they wouldn’t serve me! mei lings in Medford A+++ way better food and employees

They have standard Chinese style take out fare here. We’ve ordered from Real Lucky twice, once for pick-up and once for delivery. The Szechuan Chicken was pretty tasty. The Crab Rangoons and Beef with Broccoli Crispy Noodles were alright, not bad, but nothing to write home about. Our cat would like to add his stamp of approval to the Beef with Broccoli Crispy noodles, I caught him eating my bowl of noodles when I turned my back. The Seafood Crispy Noodles were good, but two complaints: the scallops were overlooked to the point of being inedible and the crab was imitation(I expected this, but I wish they would just write«imitation crab» instead of «crab» in the menu). The scallion pancakes were tasty, but there was red stuff on them where they cut the pancake into wedges, like they cut it with a dirty knife. Portion sizes are pretty huge. The crispy noodle dishes are enough for 4 people to share if you have smaller appetites, even if you have a big appetite, it’s enough for more than 1 person.

I will give five stars for the crab rangoons it is the best hands down. The only ones I like and I’ve eaten crab rangoons everywhereeeeeeeee because I’m on a crab Rangoon diet.

Ordered the chicken pad thai and was impressed with the delivery time. The noodles were still piping hot upon arrival. Most places are a hit or miss with this dish but I found this one to be a hit. My only two gripes are the stale ground peanuts scattered on top and the lack of citrus flavor I tasted. Not sure if they omitted the lime juice altogether, but I recommend them including a wedge for delivery orders.

Since moving out of the city I grew up in, I was desperately trying to find a new local Chinese food place that lived up to my ultimate favorite place that is in Everett(Golden House). So far Real Lucky is closest I’ve come to finding a new favorite. The food is made fresh and quick and is always tasty. The employees are friendly and the prices are decent. General Tso’s chicken, veggie lo mien, crab ran goons, and spring rolls are by far my favs. Not a huge fan of the pork strips. Worth giving a shot if you live in the area.

i ordered delivery who took the order so rude and not welcome at all. i asked for how lone she can’t tell me approximately timeand she hung up the phone. i understand today is storm day but you should tell whatever 1, 2, or 3 hours. you should more polite when you talk with a customer on the phone either in a store.

Real lucky is a small place on Highland Avenue in Malden. The food has always tasted good, every time I order from there. I am a fat man who knows his food, trust me! The staff are a little kooky at times and look at you like you’re crazy, but what Chinese restaurant doesn’t have that a little? I kid about that! Bottom line is that the food is very good and reasonably priced. Don’t get stuck on the«Island» down the street. It is not good at all anymore. Feel lucky and go here. You won’t be sorry I promise. *An update* My son knows one of the family members of the owners and they have decided to make the restaurant strictly a Tea House and try other ventures outside of the business, so unfortunately we are now«Unlucky» that they have decided to do this. Thanks for the great food over the years and best of luck!

I’m a big fan of Real Lucky — it’s my favorite American-style Chinese restaurant on the North Shore. It’s cheap, the ingredients never look questionable, the staff is pleasant, and they hit just the right amount of greasy-ness. Howeverm the deciding factor that makes Real Lucky my favorite is their crab rangoons — delicious filling, and never burnt or underdone.

Who’s lucky? We’re lucky? How lucky? Real Lucky! When we first moved to Malden. We found this little treasure. They are quick to deliver and not hard on the wallet! If you are looking for fast food Chinese style, this is the place for you! In reading the other reviews, I was surprised to see negative remarks as we always found the staff both on the phone and in delivery to be extremely friendly. This is a no-frills place that serves many for little. We don’t order from here too often sine we tend to limit how much we eat fried and fatty foods, but when we do, we always enjoy it!

I’ve been to this restaurant three times just because I live 5 minutes away. Well, whatever meat dishes they have, whether they’re chicken, beef, pork, or shrimp, you can actually count the number of meat in the dish. I ordered shrimp with lobster sauce, and it came with 7 small dingy shrimps, not to mention I ordered large. Pork dishes had about 5 small pieces of meat, covered with cabbage and other cheap veggies. I seriously think that their goal is to make everyone a vegetarian. The owner lady(or whoever at the front desk) always yells at someone, weird. Never going back.

you know when your looking for«the chinese restaurant» … the one you order from and like so it just becomes … the go to spot … well that was this place for us … for a while(a year) since we tried several others but didn’t like them so it was the lesser of the evils … if you know what I mean … … the food just never tastes good. something was always off every time we ordered. and the final straw was when I called for delivery and the women(the owner) called me stupid and hung up on me … guess she couldn’t hear me? then all I hear is her scream«you stupid» and hang up … well you lost this customer … !

Okay, I admit, this is not the best Chinese food that I have ever had, but they are reliable and relatively cheap. This is usually where we order from when we don’t want to cook. The apps and combination plates are always a safe bet. My husband is a fan of the lobster sauce. On the whole the food is all suited to a western palate: no gristly bits. I know that may sound like a strange comment for a Chinese restaurant, but let’s be honest people, we order deep fried cabbage rolls and noodle stir frys, not beef tendon soup. We’re not really looking for authentic Chinese food.

I’ve eaten here before and the food was average but this recent meal was extremely overcooked and should have been obvious to anyone preparing the food. I can’t believe every meal was so overcooked. Even the fortune cookie was bad.

With all the places that deliver what I call Chinese Fast Food near me, I still opt to order and make the drive to this one. Their food is always fresh, reasonably priced, and they have cold cans of soda available in their menu. I love Peking Raviolis with the thick dough, and theirs are so good, my family has to order extra. Their appetizers are always fresh, and their crab ragoons do NOT have that horrible cheap imitation crab taste. Boneless Spareribs are juicy and tender, not dry and tough. The House rice is worth the extra buck in their combo meals, it’s chop full of goodies like shrimp(not tiny ones either), beef, pork, chicken, and a lots of veggies. Their duck sauce is sweet, but I like that, scallion pancakes too are a must have. I am a fan of their Sesame dishes, again not over cooked or dry. Never had a bad meal with them. A typical 3 Appetizer combo meal with rice(you pick the app’s) is under $ 10.

It doesn’t feel that healthy, but the food here sure is tasty and cheap. They have excellent Moo Shi and scallion pancake.
