I ordered an item from them and they shipped it to me 6 months later, after I cancelled the order, as they had my credit card info. I no longer needed it. They don’t readily respond to emails or calls. Finally got a hold of them via email, shipped the item back, but still cannot get a refund. I would be very, very cautious of doing business with them. PS when I ordered the item they indicated it was in stock.

The Shooter’s Box is a broom-closet sized shop, but the owner(Steve) is one of the BEST firearms dealers I’ve EVER encountered. The best example of this was this weekend when I brought a friend who just gotten her license to the shop to look for her first gun. As I explained the mission to Steve, a big grin spread across his face and he enthusiastically threw open the case and started pulling out guns. He started by showing us the least expensive guns and asking questions, and based on her response to the guns and his questions he was able to make better and better suggestions. At one point he apologized for all the questions he was asking, but justified it by saying, «The more you can tell me, the better I can help you.» He never once tried to ‘sell’ her anything, and had no issue spending nearly an hour working with us, even knowing we probably wouldn’t buy anything that day. And while she found the gun she’ll probably buy at another store(utilizing all the advice he had given her), she’ll probably come back to the Shooter’s Box to order it from Steve anyway. Otherwise, the shop has very good pricing on new and used firearms, reasonable selection and prices on ammo, and the best inventory of accessories you could possibly fit in such a small space. The website is also excellent(by gun shop standards). Before you go to the Shooter’s Box, be sure to call ahead — Steve doesn’t always keep normal business hours, so it’s best to make sure he’s there before you go. He recently purchased a new building down the street, where he’ll be opening a full sized shop sometime in late ’08 or early ’09.
