I got a deal on Living Social for «eyelash extensions» and got a nightmare instead! The black glue she used made my eyelashes so clumpy that it looked like spider legs on top of my eyes and the lashes were so hard and heavy on my eyes I could hardly keep my lids opened. Not to mention the lashes were poking me in the eyeballs and made it hard to wash/​dry my face or even sleep, so painful. Having never had eyelash extensions before I didn’t know that this was NOT OK. Not until I went to get my makeup done by a professional make up artist that said whoever did this was «not my friend» and her and her entire make up team spent about 40+ mins trying every solution possible to get the lashes off. I was left in tears from disappointment AND actual stinging eye pain. Needless to say the day of my special event was damn near ruined.
I called her the next day and made an appointment for them to be removed, which was also another EXCRUCIATING experience (cried for 30 mins straight) and then she tried to charge me for it?! Probably the most traumatizing experience I’ve ever had. Now I get them done at a REAL eyelash extension place in Union Square NYC. Save yourself the suffering, avoid.

Despite all my effort Dionne was able to take it up ten notches!. Her skills and professionalism really shine throughout the whole process. Most professionals BELIVE you should just trust them. But what I appreciated was that she tells you exactly what she’s applying and how. She asks what your personal preference is or what sort of look are you going for. She’s an artist that can express herself and still take the client and the occasion into consideration and even help you to step outta the box a little and try something new
