My daughters had a wonderful birthday party here. It was unique and delicious. The kids made chocolate bars and decorated cupcakes. They enjoyed party games. No one left hungry, just happy!

First off, I have to say that Chocolations makes the most delicious milk chocolate I’ve ever tasted, anywhere. I feel like milk chocolate is treated as second class to dark by most chocolate shops, but not at Chocolations. It’s rich, creamy, just sweet enough, and I can eat *far* too much of it in one sitting! Second, I have to thank Maria and her wonderful staff for hosting an absolutely perfect 1st birthday bash for my son. They graciously allowed almost 50 of our family members to overrun their beautiful shop, rearranged displays and tables and chairs to make room for everyone to enjoy a cocktail/dessert hour comfortably with plenty of seating, and prepared a delicious and gorgeously presented menu of heavy appetizers, desserts, and chocolate and wine pairings. Maria and her staff really went above and beyond to be so incredibly helpful and make us feel at home. And the price was very, very reasonable for the amount and quality of food and outstanding level of service we received. I would *highly* recommend Chocolations for both your everyday chocolate consumption needs and for special events when you’re looking for a unique venue staffed by amazing people who will make everything easy for you. Thank you so much for everything, Chocolations!

Cute little shop in Mamaroneck — the only chocolate factory of Westchester. Wanted to visit because Westchester magazine voted it the best chocolate shop in 2014. Friendly staff and nice variety of chocolate bonbons, truffles, and barks as well as chocolate dipped pretzel and Oreos. Wish they had some more different kinds of truffles though — not as many different kinds as Godiva. They have a picnic style table inside for having lunch and frozen treats there as well so that you can spend a whole afternoon there. Lots of beanies and some frozen jelly beans and merchandise as well for the little kiddies. They also offer birthday parties for 10 children for $ 455(in their pamphlet, they had a typo stating that it was $ 45,500 lol) Took advantage of the Unilocal deal $ 10 for $ 20 worth of chocolate and paid a grand total of about $ 15 for 6 chocolate truffles and 6 bonbons as well as a 3 inch sweet potato pie made by the local small business G&K bakery. Was a little disheartened to see that the pie was still semi-frozen, indicating that it may have been there for a while and isn’t very fresh but have yet to try the little pie. Without the deal, the total was $ 25. Six truffles usually cost $ 10.50 and one quarter pound of bonbons/chocolate covered things/bark is about $ 7(the clerk charged me $ 10.50 for 6 bonbons — might’ve overcharged me but didn’t notice until afterwards since the receipt was emailed). Overall, a cute one of a kind chocolate shop with reasonable prices in the county. They also do wedding favors and other catering for events. I saw some small white boxes tied with a ribbon and a sticker with a couples name on them. Also, forgot to mention that the two small boxes of chocolate that I bought were decorated with a nice golden ribbon that the clerk prepared at checkout. These would make a great gift for special occasions like valentines, anniversaries, or birthdays. The area is also nice — lots of other complimenting stores on the same block such as a flower shop next door and an edible arrangements two doors down. Have yet to try the chocolate! That will be the deciding factor of whether or not I’ll make a return trip as everything else has charmed me :)

This chocolate left me feeling sick to my stomach. Same with my mom. I wanted to love Chocolations, I really did. Hell, I’m a bonafide chocoholic, and I drive past this place every day I go to the gym.(Don’t ask me how I didn’t notice the store sooner – I’m too busy dancing in my seat while I’m driving to notice any stores) The thought of negating my day’s workout via chocolatey goodness was too good to pass up. Maybe it’s a sign from the universe that my love affair with this place wasn’t meant to be. Back to Vosges and Ghiradelli I go. Heard about this place on Unilocal when I saw their $ 10 for $ 20 deal. The glowing reviews made me confident that I would love everything I purchased. So I bought my coupon, busted out my phone, and my mom and I zoomed to the store. Upon walking in, my ears were bombarded by these demonic screeches. I thought I was going to get attacked, until I realized that there was some sort of birthday party. The girl working the register looked overwhelmed by the noise. Despite this, however, she smiled and I felt confident about my impending choco coma. We got some truffles: –Key lime(the flavor was way too faint and tasted somewhat artificial); –Bourbon pecan(had a nice boozy flavor, but I didn’t want to finish eating it); –Blood orange(didn’t notice the orange flavor until I ate about ¾ of the filling. Very weak. My mom actually thought this one was the bourbon pecan) All of them were lightly nibbled on and then placed back into the box. Not promising… We also bought a chocolate covered s’mores. I was super excited about this one because I am a sucker for marshmallows, graham crackers, and dark chocolate. So the thought of all three together? I took a bite and felt like my dog when he’s trying to gnaw a hole into my sock. The marshmallow was gummy and tasted like plastic. The graham cracker was mushy and tasteless. The chocolate was… well, I’m not sure how to describe it, but I am not a fan of their dark chocolate. It tastes off. I ended up spitting this out because I didn’t want to eat it. My mom said the graham cracker tasted disgusting to her and the dark chocolate left this fatty coating on her tongue. Finally, we bought a couple of pieces of chocolate bark: –Dark chocolate and coconut(the chocolate overwhelmed the coconut); –Rice krispies in milk chocolate(AHA! Something that didn’t taste terrible! My mom said«it’s hard to screw up anything with Rice Krispies.» Touché); –Pretzel and peanut butter in milk chocolate(another one we kind of enjoyed. No snarky comments about this one, even though we got it for my dad); –Almonds and blueberry in dark chocolate(I didn’t try this one, but my mom did. She disliked it and said the dark chocolate overwhelmed everything in the bark) Total charged: $ 23 Total spent: $ 13 About five minutes later, we were both suffering from stomach aches. We didn’t eat all that much; in fact, it looked like some mice snuck into our bag and nibbled on the contents(just for you naysayers who may cry foul and say«Duh, Tori. Eat that much chocolate in a short time and you deserve a stomach ache!»). Two hours after that, after finishing our errands, grabbing dinner, and having some wine, our stomachs were feeling better. I thought I would try a piece of the peanut butter and pretzel bark because I didn’t try it in the car. My mom said it wasn’t bad, and I was hopeful. Fifteen minutes later, and I was feeling nauseous again. The girl who helped us was nice, but we didn’t receive outstanding service like some of these other reviews alluded to. I kind of got the feeling that she just wanted all those kids out of the store ASAP. Sadly, I wouldn’t go back here.

I was driving around Westchester county for work and passed by this place, it looked irresistible so I had to stop in! The lady behind the counter immediately greeted us with a warm smile and an offer to try certain things or answer questions. The front of this store is full of novelty items like Halloween themed candies and treats, knick knacks, etc. Off to the left of the store is a nice plush seating area in case you’re waiting for your order or hanging out making specialty orders(which they do.) There was a Unilocal deal which I saw after checking in so I bought that, I think it was 10 $ for 20 $ of stuff. It took a while but I finally got 20 $ worth of chocolate, candies, novelties and an espresso. The lady was more than helpful and patient throughout this entire process. The espresso was delicious and made from one of those individual-serving espresso packets placed in a espresso machine — I am sure they don’t do high-volume espresso here so this is a welcome touch as it kept it nice and fresh. I enjoyed my espresso and left the lady a nice tip. If I lived in the area I would be a regular here! Sadly, Brooklyn is a bit too far to make regular day trips here but when I am working in the area(3 – 4 times a month) I will definitely stop by!

What beautiful handmade truffles and bark they make here, right at our very own chocolate factory in Mamaroneck. Beautiful store, friendly staff and lots of space for meetings and get-togethers! Aside from all the different types of chocolate confections, the coffee and all other pastries are great too! A must try for any fellow chocoholic(guilty as charged) :)
