Very Authentic Mexican huge portions. English is defiantly a second language but never a problem.
They have daily specials and special dishes on the weekends ie chicken mole which is served on the weekends only.
Their Tortas Cubano is big enough for 2 and is stuffed with all kinds of goodies like fried pork cutlet, ham, avocado etc then topped with shredded cheese which is melted to a gooey perfection.
The tacos seemed to be a little pricey but I realized why when I got them. I ordered a pork taco and it was packed with yummy bits of chopped roasted pork and wrapped in 2 warm corn tortillas, there was enough pork in it that I ended up taking the taco apart and making 2 tacos.
The chicken mole is dark, very rich and full of spices, drizzled over rice it was awesome be carful if can be a little spicy.
Overall Vera Cruz is one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in Westchester.
