Tyler was our server had great recommendations and service, good Italian cuisine, would come back again.

We had dinner here after a fabulous day of shredding on amazing powder. It was the perfect way to end a high adrenaline day. We ordered the shaved brussels sans bacon to start. It was light and refreshing. The soup of the evening was a cream of zucchini that was just scrumptious and tummy warming. I also got the creamy poleta with mushroom and an egg on top. That was so delicious as well, comparable to the polenta I’ve had in the Italian Alps. The egg and mushrooms were flavored well with the right amount of salt to complement the simplicity of the creamy polenta. Two of my friends shared the margherita pizza with fresh arugula added on top. They scarfed it down so I am pretty sure they found it quite satisfying. Another friend ordered the bucatini, which looked delicious as well. It is a spot where you have to make advanced reservations. It was pretty packed Saturday night and they turned away all walk ins.

I literally had the perfect night while here this past weekend. We had no reservation and were just hoping to sit at the bar top. Place is packed, reservation list is full, BUT cute, green eyed, front desk girl(I know I totally didn’t get her name) blessed us with a table that cancelled. Our server Tyler was fantastic, knowledgeable, and surrounded by great team service. Recommended a syrah for my friend that was delicious, they have a 9oz. Pour for a really good price so heads up. Food: We started off with some calamari and it came with the most delicious sauces that complimented it perfectly. For our entrée we went ahead and got two pastas, two pizzas. As you may have heard already the Bee Sting is a great option, paired with their pizza of the day. We also had risotto and a pumpkin cream fusilli. Perfect combination with one being slightly spicy, and the other a more mild and creamy pasta. As far as dessert goes GETTHEBUDINO!!! Layers and layers of flavor(caramel, sea salt, crushed Oreos, and whipped cream– topped with strawberries)

Awesome pizza and Italian food. Our favorite restaurant this trip to Mammoth. It gets really busy at the weekends so you might want to make a reservation.

They would get at least 4 stars if it weren’t for the service. We were seated for about 15 minutes with no help or menus. Finally my husband got up to grab menus and they finally gave them to us. Or server came over to ask for our drinks, he came back with water about 10 minutes later. Then our drinks about another 10 mins later.(We ordered it the same time we asked for water, 1 iced tea, 1 Bloody Mary) They were not busy, lots of workers just standing around, other patrons looking around waiting for help as well. We ordered an appetizer, pizza and a pasta. He told us that they would just let them come out slowly so that we can enjoy each item, well, ALL of our food came at once. Luckily, they had great food so it made up for the service. I’m all about giving a place another shot, it’s theirs to mess up!

We were in Mammoth for the weekend and we were looking for a reasonable place for my birthday dinner and this place seemed nice and within our price range. I didn’t realize how busy it would be so didn’t make a reservation. We got there at 7 and were told that they didn’t have anything available till 8:15 for 6 people but then the hostess told us to hang out till 7:15 and if their reservation doesn’t show, she will seat us. We ended up being seated. Everything was great from the moment we sat down. Our server Lindsay was super attentive. I had the pork chops from the specials and it was delicious. It had the best kale I’ve ever had. The pork chop itself was soft and juicy. Bottom line, i would go back here if I was in the area again.

Salty balls… If you want a very good pizza, then this is the place for you. If you want unbelievably salty and overcooked meatballs on your nearly sauceless spaghetti, this is also the place for you. In addition to the spaghetti, the kale salad was also a bland disappointment, particularly with the added over-easy egg perched right on the top. After three dinners over the last two years at this conveniently located Italian restaurant in The Village, I would only recommend it for pizza and/or cocktails at the vibrant bar. The servers have always been excellent and the bartenders chatty and attentive.

Let me break it down via bullet points: –Chris Brown is a waiter here. –The handmade bucatini rivals some of the best I’ve had throughout Italy. –Happy hour wine is $ 5 by the glass and does NOT taste like cat piss. –Chris Brown won’t hit you, he’s actually quite the gentleman. –We will be be back.

Campo is a contemporary restaurant located within The Village in Mammoth featuring a large dining space, a good size bar, a spacious patio with an open fire, and ample outdoor seating*(depending on weather). This establishment specializes in creating traditional Italian pizzas and pastas in a modern setting. Its rustic décor brings warmth and some relaxation in a bustling area. RESERVATIONS Reservations for our party of 8 were phoned in the same day we planned to dine at Campo. We added 2 more to the group and they easily accommodated our request to reserve a table for 10 guests. Upon arrival, our table was ready and had a great vantage point of most of the dining area and part of the bar. FOOD /DRINKS /DESSERT Everyone at our table ordered something different. We ordered a couple appetizers to begin, one of them being fried calamari. It was as thin as an onion and not very memorable. I wanted something healthy so I ordered a «Kale Salad». The lemon-garlic vinaigrette was really good and the salad wasn’t overdressed. The poached egg was a great addition as was the extra grilled chicken breast. And the crispy Grana Padano gave the salad some crunch. Not too light and not too heavy. Our party also ordered some of their pizzas including«The Prosciugula»(Prosciutto, Arugula, and Grana Padano) and«The Campo»(Tomato, Mozzarella, Sausage, Salami, Pancetta). One from our party ordered the«Pork Porterhouse with Cauliflower Purée» and let me try a piece. It was moist and delicious! Most of us ordered either a cocktail or beer. I had the«Lucy In The Sky» house cocktail, which was a mixture of Vodka, Triple Sec, Strawberry Simple Syrup, Lime Juice, and Prosecco — so so good! Tart, tangy, and fruity with a little punch! As for dessert, the birthday boy got a «Caramel Budino» and the little taste I got of this dessert was ‘oh, so good!‘ CUSTOMERSERVICE Our server, Chris Brown, was extremely knowledgeable. Chris offered suggestions while my party and I placed orders. He was the one who suggested I get the«Lucy In The Sky» house cocktail after telling him my preferences. He also came to check on our party a few times which made for a great dining experience! Thanks, Chris! STROLLERS /WALKERS /WHEELCHAIRS Some aisles are wide enough to get strollers, walkers, and wheelchairs through. There are booths and tables so finding a place to set a baby stroller, a walker, or a wheelchair is no problem here. Overall, my party and I had a great time in Mammoth, and Campo sure made our dining a real treat [thanks for singing Happy Birthday to the birthday boy]! The location, easy-to-make reservations, friendly service, great food and drinks, and ambience may bring us back here again when in Mammoth! :)

This rating reflects our Patio service. We have eaten here many times but always at the bar and had great service. This occasion we had our dog so sat outside. Not sure what was going — our waitress was sweet, knowledgeable for sure but a bit«ditsy». At first greeting she has a carafe of water for the table but no glasses or menus. My husband says just give us a straw and she jokingly says we can share it. She never brought the glasses or a straw. Returning from the restroom I asked an indoor waiter if I could take a couple glasses and he said sure. We got our drinks and ordered and requested if the heaters could be turned on. Some time later they were still looking for the one and only fire starter. A server brings out our food and we have no setups. I ask for those and she brings just the silverware so I ask for napkins and she gets those as well. Even had to ask for bread too! It became comical — the Folks next to us arrived much later and got to watch this show. Laughing they offered an extra fork when we needed it. Their waiter seeing this started helping us. Brought out husbands coffee and it was tepid. Waitress suggested espresso and it was super hot and great. Got one right there! On the positive side — cocktails, wine, meatball pizza, butternut soup and spaghetti with meatballs were flavorful and yummy as always! Their oven fired crust is amazing! We will go back as we love the food and service at the bar has been fine even when really busy but will rethink the patio. .. waitress. ..

Bartender at happy hour is slower and more Lethargic than anything I’ve seen. We were at happy hour and I couldn’t get eye contact if I stood up on the bar and dropped my shorts and yelled fire! The funny and sad thing was that I was with a party of 5 and there was only a total of 7 at the bar. I’m not sure if the bartender had too big of a hangover or maybe was challenged mentally. However, what I am sure of is that I won’t return or spend another dime of my hard earned money to be ignored and disrespected!

My husband and I were planning to go to a restaurant around the corner from here for dinner, but found out when we arrived that it was closed for a private event. So we wandered around and found this gem, Campo. I’m so glad we ended up here! From the second we walked in, it smelled great. We waited by the front door for a few minutes until our table was ready, and all the food we saw looked amazing. We got a great table towards the back of the restaurant and had a great experience. Our server was Matthew, and he was the best. He was very attentive and made wonderful recommendations. He was also super knowledgable about the ingredients used in the dishes. The soup of the day was amazing, as was the pizza. We were so stuffed and took the last of our pizza to-go. The only problem was we forgot our leftovers on our table — but Matthew literally followed us out of the restaurant to make sure we got them! We were very impressed with both the service and the food here. Thank you Matthew and Campo for a great time! Looking forward to coming back here the next time we’re in Mammoth.

Loved our Kale salad with poached egg, margarita pizza, calamari, and kid’s spaghetti and meatballs. I took a snag off my little nephews meatball and it was delicioso, I think it had a mixture of sausage. The pasta was great too, you can tell they make it fresh. Our server Samantha was very friendly and kept checking in on us even with our rowdy little nephew. She was really great! I checked in on Unilocal and found a 15% off your food bill check-in special, alcohol excluded. It was a nice surprise. Overall, great food, quite for lunch, and excellent service.

Day 1 in Mammoth and we were famished from traveling overnight. Well not necessarily famished since we had breakfast at Schat’s Bakery in Bishop a few hours prior. Campo is located at the village, convenient for shopping and those enjoying a day of snow play. Parking sucks though so be prepared to wait for spots. The food is New American: pizzas, pastas, burgers, and of course beer and cocktails. We ordered a variety of dishes and most were just OK. The burgers were nicely put together but overly well done. Fried polenta with the truffle sauce thing was delish. Pizzas were good, especially the bee sting, interesting item though nothing else stood out. I don’t think we’d return to campo since there are too many other places worth trying.

PIZZABROUGHTUSBACKTOITALY What a fantastic addition to the Mammoth Village. The food was amazing! We had the fried calamari, Brussels sport salad and the campo pizza! Our server Dave was amazing, his service was impeccable and we truly had a dining experience that of which you would expect of a top rated steak house. The Brussels sprout salad is served warm and chilled endives and bacon what a treat! My husband loved the fried calamari and veggies the fish was soft, not chewy and the fried battery was perfect. The big star was our pizza! OMG what a delight — the dough was so good! Soft with a light char from the imported wood fire oven and the toppings were perfectly paired. Overall, the food was amazing, and we will be back to see Dave for the great service and dining experience!

Beautiful restaurant. I love the style and the food was delicious! Definitely worth the wait and the expectations. My first night here we came and they were booked(booked the entire week to be exact) I decided to try to make a reservation using Unilocal via open table and wahlaaa it worked! So my second day in mammoth I enjoyed an early dinner. I tried the pasta(which is made from scratch) it was delicious, pancetta, red onions, and Parmesan etc u get the picture –very tasty, some of my fresh pasta was on the chewy side however the flavor of the red sauce and ingredients were very good. My daughter got a pizza which was also very good. They serve fresh bread along with their in house balsamic vinaigrette. The winner however was the burger«the house burger» it was divine! I could taste the butter in the freshly baked warmed bread and the hamburger meat was cooked to perfection so tender and juicy with a sweet red onion or purple cabbage concoction that just enhanced the flavors truly making it one of the best burgers I’ve ever had(and I’m not a burger person like I was before). This is a must try when in mammoth! Happy hour is 2 – 5! I tried the Bloody Mary it was great for some odd reason it helps me not feel car sick! Oh and 15% off if u check in with Unilocal –gotta luvvvv iit

Nice ambiance and friendly staff. Our server, Dave in particular was awesome and patient as we were with our 6 year old. The food was delish! I order the Fusilli and also tried the Campo pizza and the Chicken lemon with the creamy polenta. Our kid had the cheese pizza that wasn’t in the menu but they accommodated for us.

Loved my experience at Campo! We came in on a Saturday night and were immediately seated on the beatiful patio overlooking the stage where a concert was about to start. Our waiter Chris B was friendly and attentive. He even noticed our app was taking a little long to come out and offered to comp it. Honestly, we hadn’t even noticed the wait because we were just enjoying the view and our drinks. Great customer service! The crispy polenta was light and smooth inside with a lightly crisped crust. I ordered the special of the night, salmon risotto. The risotto was perfectly cooked and the salmon was fresh and didn’t overpower the dish. Hubby got the special shrimp pizza with sweet chili sauce. I would never have thought of that combo on a pizza but it worked perfectly! We ended the night with the dessert parfait with oreo crust. Great food, stellar service, and a relaxing meal overlooking the eastern Sierra mountains… can’t ask for much more:)
