As a Mammoth local, this is my number one favorite place for a delicious and healthy lunch. There are many vegetarian and gluten free options, and everything is delicious! Lynne, the owner, is super friendly and has a background in nutrition. She prepares many dishes from scratch. I especially like the fresh salads, the eggplant lasagna, and the butternut squash curry dish. My fiancé also enjoys several dishes which contain meat. The ambiance is pleasant, with a cozy, homey feel. I love the food so much I will ask Lynne if she would be able to cater our wedding reception.

ordered Thai curry, I’ve had a lot of Indian food so i had high expectations. very a average curry. the tikimasala on the other hand was delicious, new spin on it. it was a special for the day, but may still be available if you ask. eggplant lasagna is delicious as well, too much eggplant, but still delicious. I would come back and recommend

What a special find in Mammoth. We came for a four night stay with 5 people(2 being kids) and happened upon the menu as we’re were driving in. As we all have different likes and dislikes as well as one vegetarian kid it can take time to find a restaurant we al love. Not only did we pick up food from Garden of Eat’n one night, but all 4 nights! The kids loved the cheese and nutella crepes, tomato soup, chicken vegetable soup and tikka masala. We were shocked when my husband ordered the eggplant lasagna and our 8 year old followed suit the next night. The butternut squash stew is addictive as well as the tuna melts and sweet potatoes with crispy brussels sprouts. If you’re looking for an eclectic GMO-free menu with tons of flare, the sweet owner, Lynne, has it for you!

Don’t eat here. This restaurant is one of the many who give vegan food a bad name. There is a pretty major difference between poorly seasoned steamed vegetables in a cup and stew. Also cup of beans with canned(or just simply over boiled) tomatoes and a pinch of salt doesn’t constitute chili. The chime of the microwave over almost satirical new age massage therapy music brought about the question in my mind«why didn’t I just microwave the emergency can of vegetable chili from my backpack in the comfort of my hotel room?» At least the generic can o’ chili would be seasoned like chili. Again with the overcooked vegetables for my entrée. Adding McCormick masala seasoning to mushy vegetables with more of what appears to be canned stewed tomatoes can hardly be compared to the scrumptious Indian classic tikka masala. The rice blend that accompanied the vegetable curry STEW(aka tikka masala) was well prepared. Every other dish here I have seen at a table of 2 vegans and 3 omnivores is a hodgepodge of over or undercooked ingredients with no flavor or style. The service was so slow that I wrote a whole review to this point before I got the bill. The server, who was very sweet and courteous, failed to bring the beverages we ordered yet never addressed it with the table until she scribbled over the tea orders on the handwritten bill. Normally in a restaurant if someone takes one bite of their entrée, immediately stands up and walks to the adjacent taco shop, orders food at said taco shop and brings the food back, you would not make them wait for 20 more minutes to get their check much less charge them for the bland pile of mush they chose not to eat. I hate vegan food getting a bad wrap because of places like this! Don’t judge plant based food by this places version or you’ll miss out!

I ate here twice while staying in Mammoth Lakes and the food was great both times. They have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options which was nice for me and the food was reasonably priced too.

I’ve been here a few times and I’m never disappointed. Crepes, soup, sandwiches are all delicious. The other day I had a stuffed acorn squash special that was to die for! The owner is so nice too. A nice, quaint place for a meal.

Love this place. Immediately after driving into town my husband and two boys stopped in. I ordered by the menu number and when we got back to our place to eat we ended up with something different than expected. I had stuffed winter squash with quinoa and feta cheese. My husband and kids had baked chicken with sauteed kale. At first we were bummed out and was expecting something different but after we started eating we were really happy. My kids are used to eating pretty healthy with a diet rich in vegetables. Maybe if you aren’t used to a healthy diet you may not like it here. We loved it and will definitely go back our next trip.

Yummy food and home-y atmosphere! It feels like eating in someone’s kitchen … vegetarian and vegan friendly, but they have meat dishes too. We stopped in for lunch and had an eggplant sandwich and the pumpkin curry(special for the day). Both were really good! My BF enjoyed the curry so much, he got some to-go for lunch tomorrow. It seems like a place where the locals go, and the woman running the show was super friendly! Will come back here in a heartbeat!

We ate lunch at Garden of Eat’n after an early fall backpacking trip near Mammoth. We were craving fresh vegetables and healthy food, and Garden of Eat’n exceeded our expectations! I had the grilled vegetables over rice and quinoa with a touch of pesto. Other dishes like the eggplant lasagna and the hearty soups were also tempting. The service was also super friendly.

I have eaten here a number of times while living in Mammoth this summer. The food is fresh, individually prepared and healthy. My favorites are the grilled vegetables and the vegetable curry. I am not a vegetarian but I could be eating this excellent food. My other favorite is the tuna melt. The owner cooks and often is the server so this is not fast food. It is worth the wait if there is one. You are her focus.

Adorable place, excellent service and equally good food. A great place to go if you want a lighter bite to eat in an easygoing environment. It felt very much like being in a friend’s house and having them serve you your food. Great vegetarian and vegan options! The curry was very visually pleasing and delicious. So glad I stopped here while driving through Mammoth.

We were four ragged middle aged guys who wandered in stoned and hungry, anticipating a dive into the backwoods early the following morning. We had thought, hey, maybe a burrito at the place next door, but stopped to peruse Lynne’s fabulous menu and that did it. I had Lynne’s Favorite, a salad with tri-tip atop delicious greens, and my friends all had wonderful meals. More importantly, Lynne herself, in her friendly cute beautiful hippie chick with an edge personae, provided service with a smile and a wink, a giggle and a grin, that we carried all the way into the back country and, admittedly, to our tents… I’m just a spoiled white boy backpacker from the city, but next time I’m in Mammoth, I’m stopping by Lynne’s.

This place feels like you’re eating at someone’s house. It’s a tiny restaurant with small tables that feel like a kitchen table or coffee table. The food is prepared in a space that feels like a family kitchen. The staff treat you as if you were family or guests in their home. The food feels like it was made by hand. The menu looks like it was made by someone who wants to serve only the healthiest food. After trying twice to stop in here and check it out, I finally made it on a day they were open. There’s a good selection of vegetarian/vegan/GF options, which really don’t appeal to me, so I sprung for a sandwich. They offered me water while I waited for my food to go. The tri-tip sandwich was good, but the cut of meat was a bit thick and chewy. The lemonade was good, but the tartness was still a bit strong for my palate. The spicy mayo had just a little too much horseradish kick for my tastes. All in all, it was decent. It’s not really the place for me, so I don’t think I’ll be back, but I’m sure it’s a hit for a lot of people :)

Stopped by for lunch and had some really nice food. I ordered the quiche with kale and tomatoes and cheese and it was really flavourful and well proportioned. It came with a side salad and roasted bread with olive oil. My husband ordered the green curry chicken which came with brown rice(or bulgur? Not sure) and it was yummy. The people working there were very friendly and the shop has cute art work everywhere, including a JMT trail map which kept me entertained until the food arrived!

Recently discovered this charming place in Mammoth Stopped by for lunch today and was very impressed with the homestyle décor and cooking. It was almost like eating at a friends house! The smell when I walked in was warm, comforting and delicious The staff was sharp and service was quick There where so many enticing menu items I could not decide I asked my server what she would recommend, she asked me a few questions and then mentioned the curry was very good. I was very pleased with how nice the presentation was and it was delicate and delicious, just the right flavor and spice with carrots and potatoes and green beens over quinoa and black rice I will be back soon and frequently You cant beat the health factor of eating at a place like this The prices were very in line for what you get I was full and happy when I left A great experience for Mammoth 5 Stars I would highly recommend

We loved our experience at Lynne’s Garden of Eat’n. We went there for lunch and had tri-tip sandwiches with a ‘secret’ sauce that was delicious. Then the next day, we had zucchini«spaghetti» with chicken in a pesto sauce that was scrumptious! It’s such a cute, happy place. Lynne is a doll!
