Bonefish Grill is my favourite restaurant around New Jersey. Their standout items are their red sangrias, bang bang shrimp, and their wagyu beef potstickers in my opinion. Everything from appetizers to entrees are always hot and fresh when served, and is always cooked to perfection. They value their customers and are always willing to make things better. I always get their shrimp pad Thai, but they went a little heavy-handed on the sauce once. They made sure to take it back and have their chef correct it and were so incredibly kind. Could not think of anything bad to say about this place, I definitely do recommend checking it out!

This place is just OK. Reasonable fish but nothing exciting. The service is just OK. The décor is just OK. I’ve been there twice and thats probably as much as I’ll do.

I enjoyed the delicious crab cakes but was bummed that they took the Shrimp Diablo off the menu. Why would they remove the best dish on the menu? I just don’t get it.

I go to bonefish pretty regularly because of convenience but this last experience broke the final straw. I ordered a medium rare burger. Took two bites and realized it was completely rare! The manager came over, apologized, took the burger, came back 10 minutes later with the SAME burger on a new bread bun. I’m sorry that’s being cheap for a mistake they made and completely unsanitary! They threw the burger that I bit into back on the grill that they cook everyone’s food? They can’t afford to give me a new piece of meat?! I was not impressed. This is combined with the fact that they consistently fail to refill drinks in a timely manner, you wait an hour for a bread basket and the bread arrives cold, and getting a waiters attention is real work! Who manages this place!!!

I am unimpressed with this place. The service was somewhat OK both times I went however the food was not that great and not worth the money ! Everything was so «average» and half assed to me. The décor is beautiful the intentions are good but it doesn’t deliver. I have gone twice and do not plan on ever going back.

One hour has passed… Still waiting for meal… Manager came over and told us our meal is late… As if we didn’t know… Why did he even stop at our table??? I didn’t even complain. He had such a condescending attitude. Customer service here is awful. the manager should not be a manager. He is actually nasty to me because after waiting my broccoli finally arrived raw. That I complained about. He still did nothing. This will be our last time here. Stay away. There are other Bonefish in the area without Bonehead managers. He ruined my meal. Thank you Brian I’m sure your employees are so proud of you.

I took my daughter here for her birthday and we really had a wonderful time. Our server was sweet and attentive and made our dining experience awesome The Hawaiian martinis were yummy and also beautiful to look at. Our entrees were delicious especially the salmon with mango salsa and mashed sweet potatoes. Our server surprised my daughter with an over the top piece of birthday cake that was truly delicious We finished with some cappuccinos which were perfect All in all we had a fabulous time and would definitely go back again Five stars!

We decided to come here for dinner on a late weeknight and got seated immediately. Amy K was our waitress. Immediately, I wasn’t impressed with her because she took forever got come back with her iPad to take our orders after taking our drink orders. Daughter ordered the Spicy Tuna Bowl and loved it. The tuna was nice and rare and crusted with lots of sesame seeds. Her entrée was the best out of our orders. Hubs had the Classic Caesar Salad with Salmon and ordered it rare and«swimming«. It was a disappointment because he got it well done. I guess swimming means well done! Amy K never came back for us to complain about it except when we were all done. She probably knew and was hiding because of that! I ordered the Lobster Stuffed Shrimp which was 6 jumbo shrimp stuffed with lobster, red peppers, lemon butter, served on a bed of creamed spinach. It wasn’t jumbo and I couldn’t find any lobster. The bread that’s served with the meal was lukewarm and not even hot. I was VERY disappointed in the meal and Amy K wasn’t anywhere to be found. It was almost closing time and the place was empty. She shouldn’t have any excuse of not being around for help because she«was busy with customers». Hubs and I surmised that she was hiding. She eventually came out to give us our check. Total bill came to $ 57.86. Kind of expensive for a crap meal and service. Very disappointed that food quality has changed for this chain. This was my favorite chain for the last few years. Maybe, it’s just this branch. Maybe I’ll try another branch next time. I was thinking about coming here for brunch this past weekend but thought better of it based on the service and food. Didn’t want to spend the extra $ for blah food quality and blah food service. We went to Turning Point instead.

I think Bonefish Grill Manalapan is on the upswing. Maybe they got a new manager? Went for the Tuesday night special, where you get 3 courses for one of three price tiers(14.90, 17.90, or 20.90). I think it’s a really good deal. Salads were fresh, our salmon and tuna were cooked perfectly, and nicely presented. We also got a generous portion of the bang bang shrimp for $ 6 extra. Service was also very good until the dinner rush started. Salads and shrimp came at once, entrees followed in a good time frame, but then we sat a bit before we could order dessert. As far as chains go, servings are appropriate, but you won’t bring home leftovers. Food quality seems high. Good job.

Not good. Food: Both the Bang Bang Shrimp and the Shrimp stuffed with Lobster were way too rich. The flavors had no subtlety at all. I barely tasted any lobster, it actually tasted like imitation crab meat. Price: Overpriced, considering the quality. Service: Friendly and efficient. Atmosphere: Upbeat and moderately upscale atmosphere. Drinks: Full bar. You go to a chain restaurant and this is what you get: crappy food! I will only be back for a beer because I live close by.

Another okay chained restaurant. Menu is quite limited but it does have more choices for fish then other restaurants. I have been here a couple times and I am satisfied with my meals. Their featured appetizer is the Bang Bang shrimp which is basically fried shrimp coated in spicy mayo. It does taste good but so does most things coated in mayo. Most of their fish entrees are grilled fish filet(you pick what kind of fish you want) with a choice of dressing or sauce to accompany it. So basically, the fish is prepared minimally which is probably the best way to cook a good quality piece of fish. I recently found out they serve brunch on Sunday’s. I tried it once and the brunch is quite decent and best of all it is not crowded. They have egg benedicts, omelette, french toast, etc. Since they have liquor license, you get the option of a mimosa. All in all, it’s a decent alternative if you want to dine out and not have burgers and fried or Italian in this neighborhood.

I love Bonefish, but I was disappointed in this branch. My go-to Bonefish is located at the Mall strip at Iselin, Nj. I came here yesterday night with my family and we all didn’t particularly like the food. Even if the food is generally not that great tasting, I usually don’t return it back to the kitchen. However, last night was an exception. I ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna, I took one bite, and spit the piece back out. The middle of the fish was still frozen and the taste was extremely off. It deterred me from ordering another kind of fish and I ended up just ordering an appetizer for my entrée. Our oysters weren’t fresh and the other fish pieces(cod, salmon and fish tacos) were salty. The manager did come out to apologize and personally brought out my second dish(therefore I’m giving 2 stars for decent service). I ended up ordering the Josephine Mussels because I know at least that is never a failure.

It’s a chain restaurant with good food for its category. Been here twice and not planning to return for a while.

I am usually here to get a drink before I go back home, but the food I purchase here is decent or a miss. I usually get the mule and a random appetizers like the Bang Bang Shrimp or the Mussels Josephine. The mule is quite refreshing, but sometimes it get a little sweet for my taste few times. The Bang Bang Shrimp is more like a filler for me, it is probably use fried shrimp coated with spicy mayo. The Mussel Josephine is honestly just mussel bathed in butter, which is delightful. Unfortunately sometime the mussels are not fresh and dried up, which helps me kill my buzz after my mule real quick.

First time dining at this location. Definitely a more spacious room and easier to park. Service very good except for a few issues — namely having to request water and bread from server. Otherwise everything was hot and delish as always.

It’s hard to go wrong at Bonefish, and I’ve always enjoyed my meals here. The atmosphere is classy without being pretentious; they have a good bar, and you can get a great selection of seafood. The ambiance is nice with dark wood and eye-catching decorations. The last time I was here I decided to buck the trend and try the Lobster Roll, which is on their seasonal menu, and it didn’t disappoint. At the end of the day, when I want something a little less mainstream, Bonefish hits the spot.

In a few words: the service is better than the very reasonably priced food. Everything we ordered looked good and tasted pretty well, but was too salty for my taste, especially the sides. Bang bang shrimp was spicy for only one bang. Food: 3 stars Service: 5 stars

Complimentary bread and oil. Delicious. The bread seemed to be freshly baked. The texture was representative of the textures of a sour dough bread. Bang bang shrimp. The succulent shrimp shined with a lovely, light and crisp coating paired with a creamy, tasty sauce. I got the sauce on the side. Cold water lobster tail. Yukon potatoes were the best part of the dish –crunchy on the outside, moist and fluffy on the inside. We only got 4 little ones though. Snow peas were wayyy too greasy. Lobster tail was mediocre; it was almost overcooked, so the texture was a little too tough. The flavor was decent; it went well with the melted butter. I wish it was juicy. Strawberry shortcake. The shortcake was not great, but still edible. They get points for providing plenty of fresh strawberries. Service was excellent. Our waiter was very quick to service us but he forgot one of our orders and some requested lemon slices. But when we reminded him, he recovered by bringing our orders shortly after. I still think service was great because our food came out fast. We told him we were planning on watching a movie later and he gladly stated that he would speed up dinner for us. I would say he accomplished that.

A bit disappointed but to be honest, based on reading the reviews, I’m not shocked. Where to begin… We were seated to a nice booth where our waiter came to give us our menu. As my hubby and I reviewed their very limited lunch selection, we noticed«fish for a day.» The waiter wasn’t 100% sure. It’s ok. We peruse at the menu and noticed the liquor on the back if the menu is more extensive than the food menu. Ummmmmm, ok? Onto our food. We ordered Lily’s Salmon and Maryland crab cakes. The salmon was definitely not something to rave about. It was thin, a tad dry and small. My order was equally small. For $ 14.99 you get two crab cakes instead of one for $ 11.99. It is like two small ice cream scoops. It was delicious though. It’s doesn’t have filler like most places so with that in mind, I won’t complain too much. However, we did have to ask for water refills constantly and when the manager came by to ask how was everything, she literally was walking to the next table already as I told her the Parmesan fries are soggy. When finally registered I wasn’t saying, «everything is fine,» she came back and suggested«the next time we come back, we should tell the server to request the fries to be crispier.» No apologies nor«oh please, let me get you a complimentary bowl of fries that will only really cost us a dollar for the potato and Parmesan but smile as we charge you quite a bit as appetizer. « Nope. Poor manager and customer service skills. Will take my business elsewhere where they know how to be more gracious. One final note, the waiter totally forgot to give us bread. We ordered two entrees and he forgot the bread. I thought maybe lunch didn’t come with it until I noticed other tables had it with a different waiter. I was generous as I gave them two stars. They really do give you bone minimum.
