Not a great place to study. The librarians stand around talking at full volume about movies and computer problems continually. Might be good for running in and picking up something quick to read, but another example of the loss of serious library culture that is supposed to support intellectual pursuits.

San Francisco, CA
Small, but decent collection of books. Lots of it is «beach reading,» if that’s your thing; it’s not mine. It’s the kind of one-​room library that seems older than it actually is because it doesn’t exactly keep up to speed on the latest technology. Expect slow computers and disinterested librarians. Hours vary seasonally so check the website; they’re never open Wednesdays.
