This place NEVER lets me down! Every time I stop in for lunch the food is never less than spectacular! I adore the chicken sub which is just pure perfection. If I could marry it, I totally would lol it’s the perfect ratio of chicken and cheese and is loaded with peppers, mushroom, lettuce, tomatoes and I’m pretty sure a dash of heaven! I ordered with a side of fries which weren’t salted at all but nothing a little ketchup can’t fix. I also love the steak nacho platter. It comes with about 8 – 10 large nacho chips and what amazed me about this dish is that EVERY chip is covered with steak, cheese, and jalapeños! What’s not to love?! This place is packed during peak lunch hours which is always a great sign. You get people from all walks of earth, to the suit and tie business people/to construction workers! Great spot for a delicious lunch at a fair price!

I prefer the woodbridge location. My chicken had too much seasoning and was dried out.

We have been coming here a few times a year for many years. I am a big fan of this location of Guapo’s. I do not like the other ones in the D.C. area. This is more of a quick serve restaurant. No table cloths or higher quality ceramic dishes. This is more of a take out, paper plate, and plastic flatware place. I prefer the food here and I actually prefer the laid back atmosphere at this location over the other ones. The way they make the nachos with all the toppings placed on each chip instead of just spooned into the middle of a pile of chips is perfect. The pupusas are super cheesy and the carne asada steak or carne asada tacos are our usual favorites. Outside the restaurant you can smell the wood smoke that is used to help flavor the rotisserie chicken. The ½ chicken with fried yucca is another solid go-to. We will continue to keep this Guapo’s location in our restaurant rotation.

Amazing Food! Love their Yucca with the Guapo’s Sauce. The Taco Salad is great too with the spicy green sauce. Would love it even more if they would update it some but other than that it is great. Food is quick and the Customer Service is okay. It smells amazing just driving by… always makes me want to stop in.

I come here with my family at least 4 times a month, plus more on my own. This place takes a lot out of my pocket but I’m over it. I’d rather go down a street or two and get pollo from a local rather than eat at this franchised place. I stood in line and ordered a quarter WHITE and fries… on my receipt it said WHITEMEAT aka, they charge you more(duh I’m cool with that). I get to the counter and he called my number, I said thank you, can I have some yellow sauce? He pointed at the counter and said«there»…okay no big deal. I get to the counter and looked at my chicken and 6 pieces of fries to find out its a piece of dark meat, yes a little tiny thigh. I took it back to him and asked him if I could get a piece of white meat, showed him my receipt and he said that this was a piece of white meat. Okay I must be stupid if brown meat and a thigh is now white meat… After he looked at it he dropped the container with chicken and fry(ies) on the counter and went back to work. Just so rude and unprofessional here… Definitely going down the street from now on, they lost me and my families business with their lack of customer service and skimping methods.

The rotisserie chicken is very flavorful and moist. The fried rice was pretty good. The yucca was a bit dry as well as the customer service.

Nice looking place. Not too long of a wait. However I ordered qtr chicken and paid extra for side of yuca. They gave me 4 pieces. Yes only 4 pieces. When I asked they said oh you have to get whole chicken for 10 pieces of yuca. Lol. Ok last time coming here too commercial and all for profit.

Food is good. Food is craft. When good food and good craft come together, it forms an irreparable bond that is shared across many people, or in restaurant-speak, many tables. You look to the person to your left, to your side, in front of you, and maybe even behind you, and when you see that everybody is enjoying the same thing you are, or just about the same feel of what you’ve just ordered, you know you’ve done right. That’s pretty much what happened at Guapo’s, a Tex-Mex style restaurant that serves chicken, and a bit of Latin American flavor that you can’t get at Taco Bell. It’s a very unique style of ordering, and what they have. It’s sorta like Nando’s, where you place your order, and then they come and bring everything to you. It feels that way. It’s like you’re at home. And it always benefits to speak Spanish because the employees will just treat you just as nice, and you get better service. The food is just marvelous. Yes, the fried plantains were unfortunately not very good this time around, a bit overcooked, but the burrito grande(with chicken) was a fantastic marriage of queso, tomato, lettuce, black beans, and yes, the chicken. Just totally terrific there, and points for the fact that it created little mess(the anti-Chipotle). I also got a Horchata. Not nearly as good as Mi Casita, but it did the job alright. I also got two Alfajores, a Latin American dessert that looks like a lintzer tart, but has almond butter or honey(or both) sandwiches in between, creating a very sweet taste. Again, awesome. I am withholding one star because I need to go back and try their well known chicken, and that is already making me very excited. The atmosphere, the happiness, and everything about this place(really clean too), made for an excellent experience I can’t wait to have again, and that you should have as well.

Over 25 minutes for some tacos? Not good! Nothing tastes good when you are forced to eat it in 5 minutes!

The best yucca around and I’ve tried at least a half dozen places. Chicken is good but the Carne asada tacos are the bomb

Guapos is awesome. The Fiesta flattered number 2 is the way to go. Staff always friendly. The only complaint is the coleslaw sometimes have a ton of mayonnaise. But other than that everything on the menu is good

We stopped by this location to grab a quick bite to eat at 11PM on Friday. Even though the restaurant was closing in 30 minutes, it was still bustling with people and more customers even came in after us! We ordered the half rotisserie chicken served with fried potatoes and side salad($ 8.95 + tax) to share. I had never been to Guapo’s before and was skeptical to try it out since I’m a bit of a rotisserie chicken/pollo a la brasa snob, having lived in Peru. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was juicy and succulent, the price and portion served was right on the mark. The two ladies working behind the counter were friendly, and service was exceptionally quick. I would recommend Guapo’s if you are hungry and looking to grab something tasty and quick to eat. It’s good for carryout as well. And don’t forget to ask for the spicy pink and green sauces at the counter!

My favorite go-to for pollo a la brasa whenever I’m in town! Been coming here 15+ years! Chicken and yucca is always served fresh and hot, salad is crisp, and plantains are wonderful. Service is always quick and courteous with management keeping an eye on offering excellent customer service.

No clue why I have yet to review, we are here two to three times a month. Of course they have the best Peruvian chicken in town. The fries and Guapo’s sauce are an outstanding combo. It can get a little pricey(we order a whole chicken with fries and a side of yucca, two drinks, comes out to ~$ 27) but it’s so tasty it’s worth it. Also of note are the quesadillas. They are excellent.

My husband LOVES this place. I do agree, it smells delicious even standing outside the restaurant, but this Guapo’s is not like the tex mex chain Guapo’s in Shirlington etc. It is mostly rotisserie style chicken. I got the quarter chicken, and to be honest– I’ve had better. It’s just average to me. It’s not like some El Salvadorian chicken places I’ve been too where it’s a big mouth party and even though you’re no longer hungry you just can’t stop eating it… I find the flavor lacking, although it is very juicy. My husband always gets the chicken sandwich and he loves it. If it weren’t for him, I’d skip this place and go somewhere else. Not to mention it’s kind of fast food style, where you go up and order and put a number on your table and they bring it out to you. This to me makes it a good lunch spot, but not a place I would enjoy for dinner on a date.

A couple of years ago I would have said this was one of my favorite restaurants in Manassas. The chicken was always hot even if sometimes a bit over seasoned. But, for Peruvian chicken it was pretty decent. I would visit about 1 to 2 times a week. I hadn’t been for awhile for no reason other that it kind of dropped off of my radar for awhile and this past visit left a lot to be desired. What happened to the service?! The employee that took my order at the front didn’t make eye contact with me and wasn’t even friendly in any way at all. It was awful. That kind of started the beginning of the end for me. The food was just okay. Not as great as I remember it. Sad to report that this restaurant no longer hits the spot for me. :(

Guapo’s, real TexMex when you’re not in Texas. AKA Cool in espanol. At long last I’ve found an authentic TexMex restaurant in Manassas. The fantastic smell of rotisserie chicken fills the air as you walk in the door. I was intrigued by their neon sign that advertises Mesquite Grilled… but the girl I talked to had no idea what I was talking about. Oh well, I opted for the three taco platter with chicken. It comes with yellow rice, refrios, lettuce and sour cream… not bad for $ 7.95. You get the option of soft corn or soft flour tortillas. The soft flour are excellent. The seasoning was perfect, tasty chicken and three tacos are filling. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The only thing I thought was odd is they don’t have their own salsa. You can get bottled hot sauce if you prefer. Easy to order, you pay and they bring your food out.
