Went in to see about getting my hiking boots repaired. Unfortunately, because of the wear and tear on them, it couldn’t be done. Instead I walked out with a brand spakin’ new pair that I got for a great price! Friendly employees, and great customer service!!!

So, I went to Bull Run Boots to buy new cowgirl boots. They had an awesome selection but nothing in my size. The lady was a total bitchhh and tried to make me buy something I didn’t want. She tried to cut the tags off when I told her not to, and made me wait 15 minutes for help. Shit made me mad. I about cried. Then she told my dad I was too negative because I don’t like pointed toe! Good boots and shit service.

There was a young black fellow here who handed me a catalog so I could show him the boots I wanted(Irish Setters). I then measured my feet and some goofball white guy(I’m a whitey too) in a white T shirt and AIRJORDANS interrupted the fellow helping me just so he could try to switch me to boots that were nothing like what I wanted, but were in stock. I guess he wanted the sale then instead of letting the other guy order them for me, but it came off as thoroughly unprofessional and I actually felt bad for the young guy who originally helped me. I had heard good thing about this place, but after that show, I walked out and vowed to never go back. I’ll buy my Red Wings and Irish Setters and Red Wing in Springfield. At least they’re more concerned with helping than they are with selling.

After coming from Dallas(where real boot shops are) to the Washington DC area, I was not expecting much from a boot shop here… But much to my surprise… Wife bought me a beautiful pair of lizard Star boots for Xmas. Wasn’t familiar with the brand, used to Lucchese, Tony Lama, Justin, Durango but was impressed with the quality of the Star boot with wood peg shank construction and an excellent cut of exotic lizard hide. Because I know how discerning my wife is, I was also impressed that she was happy with the shopping experience(rare) We went to the store with the boots because they were a little loose. Got a size smaller pair of boots after I am sure I had them pull out every pair of black cherry leather lizard Star boots in the shop. Tom, the sales guy was fabulous with assistance, tips and pointers and an encyclopedia of boot information. Left with some really great boots and just as great shopping experience. A real boot shop up north here, who wudda thunk! Had the boots for about a month and a half and my daughter noticed a small split starting in the ball of the foot of one of the the soles. I was as heart broken as you could get over some $ 500 just about perfect lizard boots. Took the boot in, showed to the person behind the register who did not hesitate before saying«ya know what, let’s send these back». They sent a photo to the boot company who responded by, instead of repairing the boot, sending a new pair back. Very nice. Even nicer, if you have ever seen lizard, it is rare that one hide can fit across the top of the foot, usually it is a multiple piece construction, looks beautiful but stitch lines on the side. You typically try to find the smallest size piece, largest top piece, for aesthetics. The old new boots has a very small quarter size piece of secondary hide at the arch and opposing side. Very nice. The new ones were absolutely perfectly covered. Surprisingly good selection for a boutique store, great staff(ask for Tom), great service, when tested with a return repair, flawless performance and one very happy guaranteed repeat customer.

Go here and get booted! They have an amazing selection of work, hiking, motorcycling and western wear boots. The have clothing and accessories and a really nice selection of leather belts Check out their website for advertised specials and printable coupons, they post many store wide discounts on a regular basis. I got professional customer assistance and was educated by an informed Store Manager, Thomas. Check out their great selection of Red Wing, Timberland, Carhartt & Wolverine boots. They might be a little pricey, but they do put items on sell regularly. Don’t forget, you get what you pay for.

I wish I could give them a 0 as a rating. I am looking for a new pair of boots and had heard about Bull Run Boots in Manassas. So I decided to go over there on a Sunday afternoon. When I went it, it looked like a decent little shop with a moderate selection. I was looking around and saw the sales reps helping other and not once spoke to me, and when I tried to approach them, they only looked to another customer shoot the s#*!. I thought maybe they were to busy so I left. After checking out a couple other store, I decide to swing back by giving them one last chance. This was about 2 hours later, and some of the same customers were in there just talking. I still not not get helped.

I’m surprised to see the high ratings that other customers have given this store, but then again I never got a chance to actually walk in the door. Here was the scenario: I was in Woodbridge, and called Bull Run Boots to see how late they were open. The gentleman who answered the phone told me they were«open until 5:00, exactly xx more minutes.» Great! I told him we were on our way. We knew exactly what we needed, and were obviously in a hurry. At 4:55 we arrived to find the store already closed, locked up, and the lights off. Disappointing, to say the least! Now I wanted to give this place a chance to redeem themselves, so I called and left a polite but descriptive message on the store’s answering machine. I did not receive a call back. Apparently they were not interested in our business — again, very disappointing.

Stopped in here to look over their selection of hiking boots — I wanted something durable, comfortable, and less weighty than my still dependable 20 year old, still highly functional Merrell hiking boots. William Wright was my sales person. He answered questions and helped me out, including trying on several pairs of boots. I ultimately settled on a pair of Red Wing boots that are not only comfortable but attractive looking. And they come in wide sizes — which is a requirement for me. Got a 15% discount off my purchase. And great service! I will be back! NOTE: Bull Run Boots has moved to a new location in the same retail complex. Their new address is: 10884 Sudley Manor Drive Manassas, VA20109

My wife and I each purchased a pair of western boots here last year. They were very helpful without being pushy. They encouraged us to try as many different ones as we wanted, and since each manufacturer fits differently you often end up sending them back for different sizes. They didn’t seem to mind. We came back again this year to pick my wife up another pair since she loves wearing hers all the time. Still the same great service. They have moved to a new location just down from the Shoppers Food Warehouse. For those who have never been there, they also offer many other kinds of boots as well as western wear, and work wear like Carhartt. Definitely a place to check out for boots.

A nice retail selection with something for most everyone. Most of their business probably comes from work boots, but they have enough cowboys boots that chances are you’ll find something you like. I have no idea if prices are competitive; they did cut us a deal off what was written on the ticket. Who knows if this wiggle room is purposely built in, but it’s nice to feel like you’re getting a deal. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our«good olé boy» offered a ton of feedback and recommendations about fit without being too pushy. His personality definitely make the experience more enjoyable. It was initially hard to find because both Unilocal and Google had the wrong address. BRB is located in the Bull Run Shopping center, next to Shoppers. Be sure to check their website to ensure you have the right address. In the end, the biggest problem was wanting to get more than one pair. We settled on one and the sales guy said«don’t worry, you’ll be back.» He may very well be right.
