Don Julio Restaurant

This place was great! My husband and I went there this past Saturday night and had a blast. The drinks were strong, the music was good, the staff was friendly, it had good security, and I wanna go back. Next time, I wanna try the food. It smelled great!

Somehow we were in Manassas late Friday night looking for a place to eat. It was after 12 so everywhere is closed. It was either find a random restaurant or eat at IHOP. When we drove by this place, we saw an Escalade with ground effects parked up front, so we assumed it had to be good. I knew something was fishy when security patted us down at the door…
It was karaōke/​booty dance night or something. No one there spoke any English, and it was full of the most shady looking people. The restaurant itself is really a house that was converted into a giant dining room. We asked for a table for 3 and the waitress/​dancer gave us a look like «you’re here to eat?»
The food we got was good enough for a midnight meal, but not something I’d want to eat again willingly. All this was while drunk Mexican men were grabbing and trying to dance with the waitresses. Some of them were cute though, but since I’m pretty sure they had a full night dealing with creepers, I keep all interaction menu related. Sounds super nerdy, but good thing we had our smart phones so we could translate Spanish.
I feared for my life while dining here. This is the type of place that a bar fight turns into a double-​homicide. I sat against the wall so nobody could shank me in the back.

Don Julio is a Mexican and Salvadorian restaurant — stopped here for dinner this evening.
I ordered a side of chili con queso to go with the basket of chips and salsa they brought out, a Beef Burrito, and a Diet Coke.
The con queso was not very good — it was very stringy — the consistency was all wrong for con queso. However, the Burrito was excellent. It was served with a side of some sort of rice, and the Burrito itself was smothered with melted jack and cheddar cheeses. The Beef inside was extremely tasty. I really enjoyed this Burrito and would order Burrito’s here again!
The service was also good.
