This place is no longer in existence. They move from place to place and do not have shaved ice. They need to be taken off of Unilocal. We wasted a trip looking for it.

FINALLY, a place to get real Baltimore style snowballs in the DC area. My wife and I are Baltimore transplants and we missed the snowball stands back ‘home.’ They have all the great flavors, fruits, chocolate, custard, marshmallow. Give it a try one summer day, you won’t be disappointed! As for location, you’ll have to check online and find out where she is. Its actually a food truck style business so she can pop up anywhere in the area. We caught her at a car show in Manassas.

There is no Sarah snowballs here. My husband wanted to surprise us with a cool treat, as we were getting closer to our destination I read the two reviews. We didn’t find Sarah’s Snowball. As suggested in one of the reviews check there FB page.

If you ever wondered what your neighborhood would be like if there were no zoning rules, take a drive out VA234 south of I66. One McDonalds, TGIFriday and gas station after another. Sarah’s is located in one of dozens of strip mall parking lots. I’m not sure how to compare one snowball to the next — it’s a simple enough exercise to make a good snow-cone. That said, I’m partial to the Hawaiian style shaved ice that is popular in Baltimore. Those fancier snow cone places(oxymoron if there ever was one) have whipped marshmallow and other signature flavors. I recall one place out on Liberty Road that consistently had a huge line. So, I’ll give it a solid 3 stars– glad for the treat but I’m not turning off 66 to get one.
