This place closed last year, for good reason. Go to Siam Classic, 2 blocks away and way better.

Wife and I were happy to find a Thai Restaurant when we moved into the area 14 years ago. This place was horrible back then, looks like they maintain their standard. 1st and last time we were there we had a very rude experience; seemed like we were disrupting them.

The food was ok but very dirty and unkept so how sanitary was the kitchen? Yuck! Never again.

Raw chicken, not a little undercooked RAW. Slow service, so it isn’t like that did f have time to cook it!

I went to this restaurant yesterday with a friend for lunch. We really enjoyed our meal here, and we’ve been trying a lot of restaurants out together for lunch. The place was empty which was to our liking because my friend and I could talk and pick a place in the charming window seat area. Ok, it was a little too sunny there so we moved, but then we got our next favorite spot! The food, was delicious, just really full of flavor! The rice came out steaming hot. The food was colorful and I couldn’t wait to try it. The price was the best part — $ 6.50 for curried chicken over rice. Portions are on the small side, but you know? That’s kind of what I need these days, lol. For the price, this restaurant deserves a solid four stars.

Thai food in Old Town Manassas. You don’t come here expecting an exceptional experience. It’s in Old Town Manassas… please. You park for free by the train station and walk by the Harris Pavilion to watch the ice skaters. The City is all lit up with the Christmas lights on the trees lining the street. People are window shopping along Center St. It’s got a unique charm to it. I had family come in from N Carolina so we wanted something for dinner close by in Old Town but not standard American fare either. We had the Thai Rollls, not bad… they were fairly good. June, our waitress had a wicked good Southie accent and was quite attentive with a great sense of humor and an easy laugh. You get a side caddy with spicy sauces. They were hot to hottest. The Thread Bean soup was better than average. Rice noodles with pieces of pork and mushrooms in a flavorful broth. Ben had the Panang which he said was good. James had the Pad Thai noodles which he liked. I had the Shrimp & Snowpeas which was OK. All this with Shrimp fried rice… it was OK, the rice was a little sticky. We all really liked the Jasmine tea, individual tea pitchers for easy pouring. It’s in an old building, it’s dark, the art is dated and it feels old. The over all bill came to $ 60 so maybe a little on the high side… but not extreme.

This place is disgusting. Our table was sticky. My pad thai was served with a rusty twist tie. The owner acted like it wasn’t a big deal!

This place sucks! Food was ok but the service is poor. We got our entrees before we got the appetizers… the place was deserted and we were the only customers there… The owner was cold and rude. if you want to eat Thai food then go around the corner to Siam classic… First and last experience. Won’t be going back here again!

I love Thai Secret! Good food and the service is typical Asian not so good swervice but I dont think that can change as its a cultural thing! The food is good and there is always available seating in a quiet environment. If you are eating solo, no worries, its not awkward as the restaurant is not packed with people.

Nothing about this place was very pleasant last night. It was horrible. The Pad Thai noodles tasted more like gummy worms than fresh noodles; the shrimp was small and way overcooked. The waitress/owner(from what I could gather from conversations from loud customer) was not inviting and very cold. It was pretty cheap, but still not worth the horrible food, atmosphere, and service.

From out side, sure… it looks very inviting but once I step my foot in the door the carpet was really dirty. the tables set up was really cramps together. The food don’t even tasted like it’s Thai at all. It’s like they Americanized it in a way thats doesnt taste authentic. I know this because I am part thai. Though the food wasnt bad, it wasnt good either but we managed to finish it because we were really hungry. My friend was eating waterfall beef salad, being a white boy he wasnt used to. It took the server(hispanic lady) nearly half an hour to bring him water… the thai lady was somewhat nice though. but when we left nobody said one word to us. Not a thank you, come again or a freakin’ goodbye.

I have been frequenting Thai Secret since high school. The food is always good. Among our favorites: the Thai Secret Salad, Chicken w/Garlic and Black Pepper and the Chicken w/Basil and Red Chile. I eat @ lots of Thai restaurants and this one is always great with more than generous portions!

We ate here when we first moved to Bristow — about 5 years ago. We were excited about finding a local Thai restaurant. We were disappointed with the food and service. Won’t eat here again. Our gold standard is Thai Square in Arlington.

I tried to like this place, I really did. When we first moved to Manassas it was the first place we found. It had been too long since I had eaten Thai… I always get the Chicken Pad Thai and it always tastes like seafood-I think they use one pan for everything. not so good.

The only secret here is how they managed to stay in business. I went with a couple friends on a Saturday night and the place was a ghost town. The television above the bar was on but the volume was turned down so low that you could barely hear it. There were only two occupied tables, a family and an older couple, and they were so quiet that you’d swear the place was empty if you closed your eyes. My friends and I felt so uncomfortable in the silence that we left 30 seconds after we were seated! Avoid this library and head a few doors down to City Tavern or Okra’s. Shhhhhhh…it’s a secret ;)

The secret is out, this place sucks. Service was slow and the place was dumpy. Food wasn’t even good. I agree with a previous reviewer, head down the street to Siam Classic. Much better.

Not a bad little Thai restaurant, but not the best either. I like the panang curry here. There is a dish that called lava chicken that is not on the menu that is excellent that they will make for you if you ask for it. It is the lava chicken… very yummy.

Twelve years ago, this was the first Thai food I ever had. It was love at first sight, but since then, it’s been a love-hate relationship based on the quality of the restaurant. Thai Secret is standard Thai fare in historic Manassas. The owner, who is a sweet, little Thai woman, often chatted with my family and I when we came to eat. She is a lover of basil, and often added extra basil to the Thai Basil Chicken(at no extra charge) just to make the flavor more intense for us. Also good are the Beef/Chicken Satay with peanut sauce and, of course, the Pad Thai.

This place is more Chinese versus Thai. Pretty greasy. We got the Pad Thai, not good and the Panang Curry, ok. The egg rolls were way greasy and the service was just ok. If you want good Thai, just walk another block to Siam Classic-pretty solid thai food.

I’d give it Three and a half. It’s not quite four stars, at least for me. It is in the heart of Old Towne Manassas, one of my favorite place to go. When we walked into the restaurant there wasn’t anyone there as we perhaps missed the lunch time rush. Service was slow, which made me a little annoyed but the food was still decent. I had a fryed whole fish and my boyfriend had a Pad Thai(portion of this was amazingly small compared to what we were used to). Also we had an appetizer which was good but strange at the same time. It was shrimp and vegetables wrapped and fried into thin pieces but they also gave us random pieces of fried vegetable. We thought it was weird. Their soup is good though. I read about this place somewhere and that’s how I drove half an hour to go to this place. I was obviously disappointed but not much for the food but for their lacking service
