Very cute restaurant. The service was not all that good. It seem like he started to be nice towards the end when I got the check. The pad thai that I ordered was dry and overcooked. The spring rolls were cute and tasty. Not sure if I would return.

Ordered the spring rolls and drunkard noodles, both delicious and the presentation was beautiful. I will definitely return soon as there were so many things on the menu I want to try. The atmosphere is hip and funky, which was very inviting. I went the Tuesday after the big snow but could tell they have quite a large outdoor patio so I’m excited to pay a visit in the spring/summer.

Tried to go tonight 45 min before their posted closing time and the doors were locked. We knocked and a man came out and said one of the chefs was leaving for New York. Make sure you call before you go since they seem to keep arbitrary hours. This is total BS

Best damn Thai ice coffee I’ve had in the dmv! Food was great and they had some dishes you don’t always see at your typical Thai restaurants. We will definitely be coming here again.

Outstanding food. What a nice surprise. Good quality fresh ingredients. Small staff but they seem to make it work. Chicken wings are fantastic. Perfectly cooked with sweet and sour flavor. Good beer prices with a nice selection of beer on tap. Nice place in an unexpected location. Nice job

We had a great meal, starting with the Ducks on the Roll. This appetizer was rich and flavorful, very reminiscent of Peking Duck. My wife had the crispy pork belly and son in law egg, while I ordered the Drunkard noodles with chicken. Both dishes had a good amount of heat and spice, letting the proteins really shine. There was a full bar, though nothing from the liquor side really stood out, so we elected to go with beers, which had an ample selection on tap. When we went it was pretty quiet, so we had a chance to chat with the owner, who is a real character. There was a show happening at the Hylton, though, and the place was about to be swamped. Be mindful of what is happening at the Hylton when you go.

I came about 45 minutes prior to closing the day before Thanksgiving. Our waiter attempted to sit us right next to a larger party, which I objected. I found that odd, but he graciously moved us to a table of our choice. We ordered the duck roll which was basically an egg roll wrapper w/duck & veggies, then hoisin sauce on top. It was a little too much sauce for my taste, because of the sweetness is slightly took over the profile of the roll. For entrees we ordered the«Drunkard noodle» and I had the Thai chili w/chicken. My dish was good, but it’s just something about those egg noodles that I love, I should’ve asked for those noodles to replace my rice. The portions were very large and service was on point. I used a coupon too, so we got all that food for $ 20. Coupon was for BOGO entrees. I would definitely return, when I’m not sleepy and with a little more time on my hands so I can experience everything the restaurant has to offer. I saw they had good prices for a pitcher of frozen margarita and sangria.

We just had an excellent meal at Mum Mum. It’s a little bit of an oddity, bring located on the George Mason campus, but it’s anything but a college restaurant. The space inside is sleek and modern. It would fit in the trendiest places in any major city, which is a nice change from the usual strip mall interiors you find around here. We started with the larb and Duck on a Roll appetizers. Both were excellent. The roll is a Thai pancake stuffed with duck, shitake mushrooms, and green onions brushed with a hoison sauce. Very balanced and great flavor. The larb was very traditional with a spicy kick. It hits you immediately but isn’t overbearing or so hot that you can’t taste the rest of the dish. Out mains were the pork belly dish and the cut rice noodle bowl. The pork belly was fantastic. The right balance of crispy meat and silky fat. The sauce was also a nice balance of the salty-sweet-sour that you get with this type of Thai dish. The noodle bowl was so good that you’re tempted to pull the straw out of your glass and slurp it down. Portions were ample. We were stuffed and brought half the noodle bowl home. Their cocktail and martini menu looks really interesting too. Service was prompt and very friendly. 2 iced teas, 2 apps, 2 mains in an upscale setting for under $ 50. We’ll be there often.

service wasnt very good for being slow. food was okeyish. definitely not good thai food. ive had much better. lard wraps were SUPER salty and way too much fish sauce. had the pork belly, sauce was good but the meat was over cooked and super tough to chew. wife has some soup type dish what wasnt very good. waiter spilled water all over my 5 month old and wife. kids had the pad thai which was decent. over all with the slow service, subpar food and them spilling water all over my 5 month old and wife. 2 stars is the best i can give this place. wish it was better. ill still be on the look out for a good thai place in gainesville/bristow area.

I went here because it’s close and I love Thai. This is a new restaurant located across from Hylton Performing Arts center. Easy to find the location and I was pleasantly surprised to find it had lots of outdoor seating. I don’t think it is completely ready for guests however but hopefully soon. Inside is a modern restaurant with a large bar and many tables of varying size. The tables are lured with wood chairs that are resting on the concrete slab floor. The restaurant is still in soft operating mode so the menu is limited. No problem for us because we found several items we wanted to try. Our waiter was super attentive and helpful. We started with the son in law deviled eggs which are hard boiled eggs deep fried and served with a zesty sauce. I couldn’t eat more than a half because we also ordered spring rolls which were not too greasy and I really enjoyed the crispy wrapping and filling. I tried to order a speciality drink but the bar is not fully stocked. Instead I had a glass of wine. The drinks look interesting and I will be back to try one. For entrees we ordered the drunken noodles with chicken and the pork belly. Loved the drunken noodles because they had great spice. Not too overpowering but if you dislike heat, ask to tone down for you. I don’t eat pork belly but table mate ate it and said it was good. I liked that my noodles weren’t super gooey or mushy. They make with traditional veggies like tomato and mushrooms. Go for the chicken with the noodles because it was thinly sliced and seasoned nicely. I am picky about chicken and this was trimmed well with no fat or uneven cuts. Thank you! Excited to see what else they will offer in future.

Proper high quality Thai food. An interesting location but great food. This new restaurant has a very friendly open staff that is welcoming and and knowledgeable. Fresh ingredients, fast kitchen staff and nice fancy bathrooms! A rarity in most Asian restaurants! =p Need to try out more of the food to give it a full review, but for now. If your looking for good thai food out in Mananas, this is your spot!

College campus dining usually isn’t much to talk about. At least, not from what I’ve seen. However, GMU’s Prince William location now has something worth talking about – Mum Mum! The idea is that students going to and from classes and people attending Hylton Performing Arts Center shows will stop by before or after their events. I think that’s what the owner is going for. However, certainly don’t limit yourself just because you don’t fall into one of those two categories. If you live in or are traveling through Manassas, then check out Mum Mum. Or if you’re in the mood for some really good Thai food and don’t mind a little drive, then come here. They offer modern takes on Thai favorites. For example, tom yum soup comes as an appetizer as well as a big noodle bowl(egg noodles). Very flavorful. Someone said fishy. Right. I like fishy so totally cool with me. :) This bowl was brimming with shrimp, herbs, and a savory, rich broth. Love. For my starter, I ordered the crispy vegetable salad. It’s not really a salad, but it’s VERY good. Assorted veggies are coated in a well-seasoned batter and expertly fried until their golden and delicious. Not soggy at all. Addictive and so satisfying. Told my friends to try, and they definitely wanted to go back for seconds and maybe thirds and fourths. In addition to the great food, Mum Mum also has a beautiful, well-stocked bar with many interesting mixed drinks. Good spot for girls’ night? Mum Mum is spacious and aesthetically pleasing with interesting details, like a row of booths that light up, with a Thai story engraved into the backs! The look is very modern, but not sterile. It definitely is unique among the many area Thai restaurants, which tend to all look the same – neat, pretty, but impersonal. If you’re wanting delicious Thai for entertaining friends or just want to try something different, Mum Mum is the place to be.

If you like quality Thai then you will really like this place. James and I stopped in on Sat evening prior to heading to Manassas Regal for a movie. We Sat outside in the cool of the evening and had a great experience with your server, Vance. We each shared the shrimp & chicken spring rolls which were very tasty. I had the flash fried chicken with rice and soup. All a great value for the quality & service. They have a nice outside patio and will have live music in the evenings going forward. They are still working through their menu selections and will have they ‘grand opening’ in mid-Sep.

Came here randomly while looking for a good rating Thai restaurant in this area and Voila ! Found the one &ONLY restaurants in miles and miles with perfect 5 Star rating Well everything was great, servers were attentive, the manager made sure we were well taken care of, the GM said hello. Felt right at home. Food is just perfect ! Even though they didn’t have Tum Yum Soup yet on the menu !!(just opened in March so still testing out the menu I suppose) Overall, 5 star from me as well and check out the nice patio outside overlooking GMU campus and the new performance Art Center.

I am glad to say that my first experience at this place was a positive one! The decoration of the place(indoor and outdoor) is modern and trendy, the staff is friendly and courteous, and the food was amazing! We went early in the evening on a Friday, so we were pretty much the only ones there. My friend and I weren’t sure if we wanted to get the Thai Iced Tea, so our server was nice enough to let us try the drink first before we ordered. I ordered the vegetarian sauteed drunkard noodles, while my friend had shrimp Paad Thai. I have been to a few Thai restaurants, and I usually ended up pouring additional spices on the top. However, I was very much satisfied with my noodles here. They had a good blend of flavors and were spicy just like my server said that they would be. I would definitely visit the place again to try their other dishes!

Mum Mum is yum yum! This is probably my new favorite Thai restaurant. The food, service, and atmosphere is great! We went on a Friday night for dinner, and as it was a bit early in the evening, we had the entire indoors to ourselves. To start, we ordered the Po Pia Tod(fried spring roll with seasoned minced chicken and shrimp/vegetable medley) to share. The spring rolls were nice and crispy, and I loved the dipping sauce that accompanied it. I ordered the Khao Mun Gai Tod(Mum Mum seasoned flash fried crispy chicken served with chicken fat rice, sweet garlic chili sauce, and chicken broth) and it was absolutely delicious! As soon as I saw«chicken fat rice» on the menu, I knew I had to order it since it’s one of my favorite dishes that I miss from Asia and not one that I find very often in the Washington DMV area. The rice was yummy and very flavorful. The chicken was fried to perfection and amazingly crispy. Portion size was great too, and very reasonably priced, so what’s there not to love? Besides the amazing food, I also loved the ambiance, which is very hip and trendy, with beautiful wooden details all over the interior. There is a wooden panel behind the seating area with engravings in Thai, which we were told tell a love story. I only wish I could read Thai!

Rān xāhār thī dī — in Thai that means«good restaurant.» This restaurant opened in March 2015. It’s a good place to eat or get a drink. Immaculate food and a nice bar. Enjoy the menu! I ordered the pork belly and reccomend it. Located on GMU’s Prince William campus, it is quiet and scenic with trees surrounding it. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Also, the restrooms are neat and clean. Each has a certain mural theme. The men’s restroom has a large Thai boxer pic.
