This place is still good, however I now know why it seems so expensive for delivery. The prices on the menu are based on dine in and take out, NOT delivery. The prices are much more when getting a delivery. This just seems bizarre to me. But it’s the only decent pizza place around.

Pretty good pizza for the whole family. We got the all meat for the Mrs & I and a personal size cheese pizza for the kids. The dining room was clean as were the restrooms. The service was friendly and efficient. The pizzas did take a little longer than I expected but it was a Friday evening and they were busy. I recommend it.

Fair food at best and I say that being nice. I dont think I have been anywhere more expensive in any state anywhere, Chicago, NY, nothing anywhere. Delivery … forget about it, they should give out loan applications instead of menus. If you want fair food at some of the highest cost anywhere on the planet with a side of attitude this is the place for you.

Been ordering takeout from here since the first night in our new home 20 years ago. Consistent every time. You get what you pay for. Quick food that hits the spot.

I have lived in this neighborhood for 20yrs and have frequented Tony’s more times than I can count. I almost feel bad for giving a less than stellar review… but I have no choice when I can’t say, wow that was good, when finished eating. Once upon a time I could say the pizza was one of my favs anywhere. When re-heated leftovers were better than the original dinner, something is wrong. The price seems to be a little ridiculous, hard to justify a $ 50+ for take out just for the wife and I, 1 Lrg, 1 sm pizza and order of wings. Sorry, no longer my go to for take out.

I liked the pizza, portions are good, but the owner has major issues. Very bad atttitude ! The owner, Tony, has completely no concept of how to be professional. Very strange little guy! Never going back.

Stopped by today and ordered a Tuna Hoagie with lettuce, tomato and onion-$ 8.95. There was so little tuna on it, it was a crime to call it a Tuna Hoagie. It seems like they are skimping on the ingredients lately. Have been buying pizza here for many years and it is the best but very pricey and a $ 4.00 delivery fee-way out of line with other places. $ 4.00 for a cardboard box that probably cost 50 cents. And the driver doesn’t get one dime of this delivery fee. I don’t know what has happened but it isn’t the same old place-seems money is more important than anything else.

Solid old style pizzeria. Good pizza, good service. I bring my kids’ sports teams here for get togethers.

I’ve always liked this place. It’s nice for delivery or as a sit in restaurant. I’m a big fan of NY pizza, so I naturally gravitate towards that, but they also have amazing steak and cheese. The staff are always friendly and orders are ready quickly, although sometimes their delivery drivers may get a little lost trying to navigate the roads of Nokesville. All in all a great place to grab a bite.

I have been to this location several times in the last 10 years. The food is always pretty good and the staff is normally friendly. I have only had one bad experience here in all the years coming here. The bad experience went as follows. My friends and I ate in as we often do. The service was normal and so was the food. When we went to pay was when the issue arose. The gentleman at the front counter(tall guy with gray hair and glasses) wasn’t nice at all. I can’t remember the exact dollar amount anymore but I paid in cash and he gave me the wrong change.(He thought that I gave a smaller bill than I did and therefore gave me less change that I was supposed to get.) It was five or ten bucks off though. When I brought this to his attention, he was furious. He called me a liar and refused to make it right. I eventually gave up and left. I boycotted the place for a few years after that despite all of my friends being big fans of the place. I recently returned and only to be met with more disappointment… They don’t sell pizza by the slice anymore. This stinks because that’s what I used to order.(And so did a lot of regulars that I know) Oh well, there are other pizza places in the area that serve pizza by the slice and still believe that the customer is always right.

Haven’t been back in a year since the following incident happened: I called and said I wanted a calzone with JUST mushrooms and spinach. JUST. Turns out the jerk there doesn’t clean out his ears. I get essentially a ham hot pocket. I understand traditional calzones have ham, but I was specific in what I wanted. I didn’t realize the issue until I got home. When I called to explain, they said all calzones have ham and I had never specified that I didn’t want ham. Instead of remaking it for me to pick up and bring back the other one, the guy argued with me and refused. He also insulted my life choice not to eat ham. Life must be pretty great up there on that high horse. Horrible customer service. Don’t bother with this place even if it’s close to you. There’s a reason it isn’t busy. Make the drive to Mathis.

We visited Tony’s around noon on a Sunday. It was pretty busy, but they seemed to be able to churn the orders out accurately and quickly. The pizza was excellent — definitely the best pizza in this area, outside of DC. We ordered the Tony’s special(pepperoni, sausage, onions, green/red peppers) but there were TONS of by the slice options, too. Everything was priced very reasonably(by DC standards) — our family of three ate for less than $ 30, with leftovers(and two bottles of beer). You order at the counter and seat yourself. The wait wasn’t long, about 20 minutes for our pizza. We enjoyed the famous greek salad while we were waiting.

The customer service at this establishment is an abomination. When things go right, the pizza is very good. But, if there’s a problem expect the staff to be rude, tell you that it’s not their problem, and walk away instead of actually living up to the creed that«the customer is always right.» At this restaurant, the customer is wrong, and it’s not their fault. As an edit to my post, I just called the restaurant and spoke with Tony, the owner. As I explained who I was and what my order was so that he would have a reference to work off of, he cuts me off and says«ok get to the point.» That’s the type of respect you are shown as a customer of Armettos Tonys Pizza. They lost five customers tonight who order from their establishment regularly. Looks like the many other pizza places in the area will be increasing their revenues soon.

Good pizza. Better subs. Definitely overpriced. The chicks that answer the phone are for the most part very nice however the guys there are a real pain in the ass to deal with. Delivery drivers are either dumb as a rock or like to give you a political rant while you’re signing. Basically if you got deep pockets to spend on pizza and can get past their bullshit its worth it.

$ 8.95 for steak and cheese sub, pretty decent… I got mine to go and of course like many carry outs, the sub got soggy due to the box being closed on a hot steamy food. For the price they charged they should have thrown in a side of potato chips and a pickle :/ We also ordered a large pizza, a large here is 16 inches which is equivalent to an extra large at papa johns. $ 12.95 just for cheese, $ 3 per topping and $ 1.80 for extra sauce. Goodness for that price I could have ordered papa johns. Overall I thought it was OK, maybe we should have eaten it there while it was hot and droopy. By the time we got home the crust was semi hard and chewy and the rest of the pizza was dried.

I’m from a small town in Pennsylvania and I’m very particular about my Mom and Pop’s pizzerias. Tony’s is top notch! The service is always great, and the food is to die for! The cheesesteaks(Steak and cheese) are just as good as the ones near Philly and the pizzas are wonderful. Their house salad dressing is so good you’ll use your dinner bread to sop it up! Their sandwiches that we’ve had: so far, the chicken parm, sausage parm, meatball parm, and cheeseburger sub, are all wonderful! The wraps are great. The fries are some of the best tasting fries we’ve ever had. The calzones are huge and taste phenomenal. We like to dine in, but it’s also wonderful for those busy nights when take-out is a great option! Tony and his family members take great pride in their restaurant and you can really tell. We were new to this area this year and I was happy to find a place that was just like home.

This is our to go to place when we want take out food. The food is great and done in a quickly manner. However, the price has gone up and sometimes the people ringing the phone have a bit of an attitude.

Large pizza single slices made to order! Yum! Pizza is great. Thin sliced, large pieces. You’re able to order a whole pie or a single slice — just choose you toppings. We stopped in here not knowing what to expect, but we’re pleasantly surprised with excellent customer service and good food. The home-made balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing is amazing. There are also sandwiches and some other things on the menu — including cannoli. This mom & pop(locals) place is worth trying.
