Walgreens

Nice clean store. Employees are very helpful. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars is bc I noticed when things are on sale or marked down not everything will ring up for the sale price. I had to question a few items on my receipt that were suppose to ring up on sale but didn’t. CHECK YOU RECEIPT! After I came back to get a price change the manager there (Jon) was very helpful in returning my funds. He apologized and even gave me some extra rewards points.

Walgreens on Dumfries Road (there is a reason I am calling out this particular Walgreens) has created a lifelong loyal customer in me. I use their pharmacy and it is perfectly managed with the whole team providing excellent customer service. They treat you well, offer helpful tips, and provide fast service. But for me, they also went above and beyond twice. I don’t expect this of them, but I was desperate and they did so I want to make sure others know. The first time I had vertigo for two weeks, so bad I could not walk straight or stay upright long. I had to take a taxi to the doctor and to the pharmacy for the prescriptions. Unfortunately, the doctor had not called it in yet by the time I got there and the taxi was waiting and I was barely able to stand. They assured me they would get it to me anyway. I went home and sure enough later the manager, not even of the pharmacy, but of the entire store, came to my home and delivered the medication to me, which I badly needed. He wouldn’t even accept a tip. The second time was during the gigantic months long snow that never seemed to leave last winter. I ran out of my asthma inhaler and managed to get one called into the pharmacy but I had no way to get there and the weather was expecting *another* snow storm that night. The pharmacy, because it was an emergency, delivered the inhaler to me. Again, so above and beyond what they had to do, I am so appreciate, like I said, I will be a loyal customer for life. Thank you to the company and to the people who actually cared. You can’t place a value on that kind of caring about others.

I’ve been using this Walgreens since it opened for my prescription drugs. Walgreens is in my insurance network for pharmacy coverage. The pharmacy staff are very pleasant to work with and go above and beyond many times to work with my insurance company or my doctor to get things processed. I have no complaints.

Nice place. Nice people. Has a bathroom (I think they all do). I don’t use the pharmacy. Prices are high (I assume they all are). Selection OK. Convenient to my home. Wife likes it for some reason — lots of cosmetics and toiletries? Cigarette price is good (low). Photo printing from USB drive very good, fast. Parking is excellent. Access from Dumfries a little labored.
Overall, better than CVS for customer satisfaction and interaction with staff, general appeal. Dull normal for price and value. No great shakes, not bad.

Recently moved the the neighborhood and this Walgreens has been nothing but great thus far. The people are nice and greet you at the door, the pharmacy folks are also nice. The store is very clean and organized and easy to get.

We switch pharmacies when this location opened because it was so close to our residence. What a mistake. Nothing but bad experiences. Returning to my old pharmacy with all do haste.

This Walgreens is just a stones throw or so from my house and is the go to spot to get some quick munchies, ice cream, cold medication, non-​stink spray, and other drug store type stuff. It’s much like any other Walgreens, they’re just not open ²⁴⁄₇. I don’t use their pharmacy — I use Harris Teeter up the street as my pharmacy — but my wife uses them and says they are always on point. If you need a Walgreens, this is one.
