Very nice, quiet and super clean. Great location. This is within walking distance to some nice restaurants. It is a short drive to an ice skating rink and some ski areas. They offer a light breakfast that is inexpensive. The indoor pool was nice and WARM at 86 degrees. The staff was friendly.

Great place. Quaint. Clean — like really, really, really clean. Nice, pleasant check-in staff. Very good rate. Has a little par 3 course around the grounds. Has a trout pond. Has breakfast. Has a pool. Has pretty large rooms. In the Manchester area — rest assured that you will be happy you stayed here.

My Boy and I needed a place just for a night and decided on this place after driving past. We pulled in and walked to the office. The front desk was staffed by a very helpful and friendly woman. She offered us our choice of room for with $ 10 bucks off the price when we showed our AAA card. We chose the room with the king size bed. I will mention that she very nicely offered us a Suite at a very discounted rate but we felt that we didn’t need it. We were given our key and told where we could park our cars. Each room has an assigned parking space right in front which was a nice convenience. The room itself was HUGE. Which was nice as there was a nice high backed sofa and chair along with a nice table and reading lamp. The bathroom was segmented with sink, large mirror, small refrigerator, and coffee maker when you first walked in and then through another door was another sink, the toilet, and shower, separated by a door. It was really spacious and allowed me to do my hair and makeup without having to do it in a steamroom, while the Boy was in the shower. Speaking of the shower, excellent shower pressure, and it was adjustable to your preference all the way from a gentle rain to almost pushing you against the opposite wall! It was amazing. For the shower pressure alone, I would stay here again. The staff we encountered were friendly and informative, better than the staff at some large fancy hotel’s I’ve stayed at. They also offer breakfast from 8am-10 for $ 2.50 per person in their on site restaurant. We can’t comment as we didn’t get up early enough. But they are easily within walking distance of several restaurants that serve breakfast. Definitely will stay again if we wind up in this area.

Everything we needed while in residence during VSF for two weeks recently! Swimming indoor and outdoor. Clean comfortable rooms. Serviced promptly each day. But the best part was the nine hole golf course! Great for short game practice and quite well maintained. Driving range just up the road if you feel the need to work on your full swing. But relaxing to walk the property with a wedge in my hand and a couple of golf balls in the early evening. And we still went over to equinox for falconry and archery. So didn’t miss a thing.

There’s nothing like having your very own suite, with a fireplace and jacuzzi as part of the«living room». The people working at the Palmer House were extremely nice and made our stay there a very special time. We don’t know what the rest of the rooms look like, but we’re sure that they’re very nice as well. There is also the very old, but cool Ye Old Tavern that is within walking distance from the PH that makes a mean cocktail and a very nice home-cooked kind of meal.
